Why can’t survivors have any dark clothes?
I get they’re sometimes hard to see but not everyone is like me and likes runnin’ around in bright pink.

Because there were some issues with claudettes when survivors had black shirts. And you don't need bright pink clothes, the blood soaked ones are pretty ok in not standing out.

Mainly it is Claudette. A combination of factors make so she blends in so well that it is hurting both killers and survivors. As a personal story, yesterday a claudette decided to hide in a bush beside a rock I was trying to loop. I got stuck on her because she had blended into everything and I get murdered by the killer. Then to top if off, she knowingly farmed me.

Because dark clothes + dark hair and any survivor can crouch and turn into a rock, never to be seen again. Until it's time for the hatch ofc...

I get why they changed it, but as someone who as soon as the clothes store was released, decided to buy all the black clothes for my survivors, because I don't usually use the bright ones, now most of them are changed and it bugs me. Also, I never read anywhere they were changing them, not sure that change was on the PTB, so it was a bad surprise to find out. Still, not the end of the world.

I am running a stealth Jake, with his jacket that was green but I got the black version with camo black pants, I wear either his slick back hair with shades or his beanie from the Head collection.
Who needs stealthy Claudettes anyway.

All my survivors have something bright on. Claudette I'm using always wears bright clothes, since yesterday.

Tbh I find p3 Jake harder than Claud.
Also most of my survivors are just in whatever I like. Its so satisfying to hide in a Bight fluro blue hoodie on Nea, a bright Pink jumper on Meg but the best of all is Cowboy Jake; that hat can be seen over anything.

I think wearing bright clothes should help survivors become smarter players and/or better loopers. I'm looking forward to the day that becomes true for me.
Anyway, it can be annoying when a survivor crouches and disappears into the environment. Every once in a while as killer I'll get spooked because suddenly the wall starts running away from me lol. However, I love it when a survivor crouches, expecting to disappear into the environment, and I get to whack them for it.

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 They asked for the reason. I gave it to them. She's still pretty hard to see in certain maps and in the basement with certain clothes but this is why.

@AStupidMonkeyy I've never had a problem finding her, but then again i play as her because she is the survivor version of my killers, and in reality i believe the brighter clothes came with a engine upgrade and optimization but i could be wrong

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I have pics on my PS4 when this stuff was still available. I was in front of a rock and I was completely invisible. I lost track of myself at one point. Also, you're correct. The upgrade to Unreal Engine did increase the colors and the physics. It's not something the Devs personally did, it's a product of the upgrade. Because of this, you got slightly better frame rate, nicer colors, better physics, enriched sounds and more. Personally, I play as Bill and Nea (Ninja clothes :D) but I use to main Claudette when I first started playing because of the almost invisibility that you got with her.

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 They changed the map brightness before Freddy was released. If you're talking about the brightness just BEFORE Huntress, then I guess you were good. If you're talking about after her release, the brightness was changed to make it easier.

Because standing directly in front of the killer and still being basically invisible isn't playing the game.
It isn't interactive for either player, it's just a really cheap way to avoid having to get into chases which are meant to be the bulk of the game.
Like Peanits said, there's a difference between playing stealthily, and using abusively dark outfits to avoid participating.

It takes noticing the little things like where the box on the left; its right side has a board that goes down but a third of the way down the board vanishes why? There is a survivor there as an example of the board configuration on that box it looks like this [/] the board I'm specifically talking about is ] but because a survivor is there the box looks like [/' i admit it is hard to see but hey try hiding from freddy, GF, or wraith (my two mains and the possible replacement i picked up)

@AetherBytes That's a prime example. If you're trying to find a survivor, you are NOT going to do a thorough check of EVERY little crack and crevice once you hear gens popping like popcorn. Thank you for the pic. I had one on Macmillian Estate that was just as bad as this lol but I couldn't find it on my PS4. I must have deleted it awhile back so thank you for the example. Now picture 4 Claudettes doing this after each gen is popped. Fun, right?

@GrootDude His clothes are still as bright as everyone else's and he said "Other Survivor pay 2 win clothing items (bought with steam currency) are still very dark, Claudette is the only one who has received a nerf on this". He's talking about clothes from the shop that cost REAL money and that just isn't true at all. His Jacket is still white. It can still be seen compared to a Claudette in full P3 clothing in front of a box like in the previous picture that looks impossible to find.

@GrootDude This is on the one of the bright maps. This isn't even a dark map and this is also on the new update. Just got into a game to show this. Even in a light map, she is really hard to see. Now picture this, much darker AND on a really dark map. Invisible.

@GrootDude See. He is MUCH brighter. This is his "Blackened Clothes" if you are wondering. This is the effect from the engine upgrade. There is almost no comparison on how Claudette is almost invisible while he's a lump of gray.

@GrootDude Again, his brown coat is the same. It's pretty noticeable even on dark maps. Claudette is Houdini with free clothes. His brown jacket is just as bright so I took the darker outfit for him. I'm honestly glad Claudette got nerfed. Even now, she's almost invisible on bright maps but this is why I happened. It's not stealth when you have active camo like Wraith. It doesn't take skill. Just pick a dark area. Wa-la. You just stalled the killer for 20-50 seconds by doing nothing.

@GrootDude So from my other answer, what outfit is pay-to-win? Claudette's free outfits are dark enough to hide in plain sight. What outfits are there that cost money that can make you invisible almost in plain daylight like Claudette?

With Jane you need her hair not in a bun but all of these are pretty easy to blend with @AStupidMonkeyy.

@GrootDude Those don't make you invisible. It helps you hide a little but it doesn't make you a ghost in plain sight. Also, I never have trouble seeing these characters because their clothes don't blend past 70%. Claudettes is about 95% except on a dark map, its 100% invisible. There is a difference between blending in a little and being cloaked like Wraith. If I need to prove my point again, I'll play KYFs with my dude later and take screenshots of these outfits (except Claudette. She's the main reason for all of this). (Edit: Pants don't matter because grass hides it)(Second edit: I took AGAIN and made it "again" because I felt like it was making me sound like a douche towards you for no reason. That wasn't my intent at all and I apologize for making it sound like that. When I type, I usually type what is in my head without thinking about how it sounds to another person. Again, I apologize and changed it.)

You would use Jane's hair down to blend in? Oh, i did it because i thought" Ugh, she looks so stressed with her hair up like that, she needs to let her hair down to relax" Then i spend five minutes twirling her around with her let down hair.

Yea and Claudette have like the most quiet injured audio and passive brea thing compared to ash meg and many other survivors
