Ghostface reveal makes no sense.
So a ghostface approaches, he starts stalking me, I look at him for about 1 second. He hides (which interrupts my reveal), he comes out and keeps stalking me, picking up the stalk bar where he left it, while my reveal timer has reseted and I have to spend ANOTHER 1.5 seconds looking at him again. By that time, I'm exposed.
So GF can stalk and pick up where he left it, but I have to start the reveal all over again? Makes no sense. At least make the reveal timer go down slowly, not to instantly reset! so he can't "exploit" my reveal, because I freaking saw him! I saw him for like 2 or 3 seconds but I still couldn't reveal him, makes no sense.
Any thoughts on this?

It actually used to deteriorate by itself if you could break line of sight with Ghostface but it made him feel really weak as he was wasting a lot of time if survivors just kept running away.

Two unrelaed things. The fact that he's not a strong killer is not related with this part of his mechanics being broken.

I don't think they want the exposed to be reset. Simply having the detection Linger. I would give this advantage given they reduce the sound the killer makes like threads have suggested. (Also fixed LOS detections)

Except it only takes 1.8 seconds to reveal Ghostface. He's already laughably easy to counter, and even when you don't he suffers all the drawbacks of a basic M1 killer. His power is already far too much in the hands of the survivors and not the killer.
If you actually play a single match of Ghostface, you'd realise how incredibly easy and fast is it to break him out of Night Shroud, how overwhelmingly punishing it is, and just how vague the indicators of the reveal are for who is revealing you.
This suggestion to have revealing progress lingering unequivocally does not need to happen.

You're missing the point. Everyone is saying "yeah, but he's weak, allow him to exploit the reveal timer at least, poor guy...". It feels like an exploit. I'm seeing him! He's in front of me, forget about timers and mechanics... I SAW YOU, I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE MAN, game over! the fact that he has to hide and reset my reveal timer and then keep stalking feels like an exploit, it feels like a moonwalk legion before rework, it feels cheap, it feels like abusing the mechanic.

It isn't an exploit or abuse. The mechanic just doesn't work the way you would like it to, and to change it to what you want would be a direct nerf to an already weak killer.

There is no reason for it....
That's simply not the mechanic.
U also run around the same object 3 times until u drop the pallet cuz u exploit ur smaller hit box... And? Nodody cares.
At least GF is such a bad killer.... I really would like to refund him...

It is an exploit. He has to stalk me for 4 seconds, I have to look at him for 1.8. The game is supposed to be "the first one to expose/reveal the other, wins". But, he has a way to exploit my reveal, he just hides behind the wall and pops out and keeps stalking, while I have no way to counter his stalking, he has a way to counter my reveal. Like dribbling to bug the old DS or moonwalk legion.

Honestly the stalking timer should just decrease over time if he doesn’t manage to get a full stalk off.

5 seconds actually. And clearly it's not actually the "first one wins".
It's more like "ghostface can expose you but not if he's out in the open unless he has a lot of setup first". And if he's able to quickly duck back behind cover then he's not out in the open.

This is an asymmetrical game, so I would hope that his aspect of the skill is at an advantage over a single survivor's mechanic.

It doesn’t matter seeing as he can just follow you and continue to stalk until he gets it. It is literally impossible to break his LoS 100% of the time. There are ALWAYS times where he can see you and he will get the stalk off; and seeing how busted the reveal mechanics are there’s no real counterplay to it.

You're dealing with a 1.5 timer vs a 5 second timer.
Would be completely ridiculous if you managed to keep your progression if ghostface moved out of sight.
It would make you cause ghostface so easy to break out of stealth. Using his power instead be like using a crappy crouch.
Amanda's crouching itself is flawed so with your change it would be sickly make ghostfacers nightshroud worse than Amanda's crouch and that's saying something.

Ghostface gets a guaranteed exposed status on a survivor.
Bigest crutch advantage for a killer. That's not how ghostface is supposed to operate, he's supposed to stalk stealthily, when a survivor is unaware.
