Music too soft

  • Terror Radius heartbeat is low and sometimes overlaps with itself.
  • Chase music is so low that it's hard to hear it over other sounds in the game sometimes.
  • Menu music is barely audible.

There's next to no warning of an approaching Killer now. A Trapper walked up to about 12 metres from me before the TR was loud enough for me to hear it over the gen repair noise. And I play with very good headphones.

I can't even hear the terror radius anymore and the heartbeat is incredibly quiet and randomly has, well, a heart attack.

Also I've noticed every time I'm picked up, the terror radius just completely disappears.

The music is one of my favorite parts of dbd, I've got all chase themes on my phone lmao.

The music and terror radius is way too quiet, I'm confused why they didn't address this in the patch.

You figure by now, they would just let us master our own ######### audio.

Deathgarden has it, and that game was DOA for what like 8 months.

Let us master our own audio, and give us the option to turn off vsync and enable true fullscreen in the UI

How hard is it to let us adjust the volume?

There are issues in doing that.

Sound in general is something that can give a huge advantage to both sides and it's something to balance around.

In a different game, you don't have issues like that, but in Dbd, sound is a pretty delicate thing.

That's correct, especially since the game heavily relies on sound cues. However, in turn, that should mean that any sound issues, of which we have plenty, should be top priority for fixes.

They seriously need to revert the music change, it was fine the way it was on both sides. Also, does anyone know why they got rid of the music that plays when you're carrying a survivor?

it was not fine the way it was on both sides. Actually, nearly everyone(both survivor and killer) was complaining that it was too loud. You could not hear the hatch, nor most survivor noises over the TR music. So, as a proper choice, they then made it quiet. Now that it's quiet, the other people are now complaining that they can't hear it (which, by the way, you don't need the music to determine killer distance, as the heartbeat, which can still definitely be heard, is as good of an indicator, without blaring in your ears)

That's not quite correct. The complaints about the music being too loud stems from a #########-up when the Legion released, which increased the volume to levels that sometimes hurt. Now the music is way too soft, barely audible even, which also isn't the intended state. What I and others want is for the music to be back to the audible (but not ear-piercing) levels from before Legion.

The survivor side volumes, I believe are bugged currently.

Audio is finally balanced enough to hear noises. Without the music blaring I've been able to hear stealth killer's foot steps and im loving it.
