Flesh and Mud/Spark of Madness should be added to the base game.

On PC, obviously.

It's year 4 of Dead by Daylight, and content keeps on coming. It's a great thing.

I've recently gotten a few friends into the game, and overwhelmingly they all agree that there's far too much content locked behind DLC, or excessively long grinds. Starting on PC, you only have 7/17 survivors, and 5/16 killers. It's a VAST majority of the character selection saying "thanks for buying the game, now keep on paying!"

Just as The Last Breath and A Lullaby for the Dark have become included in the base game, I believe Flesh and Mud and Spark of Madness should be as well.

Firstly, this matches consoles which already receive these chapters for free.

Secondly, these characters can be purchased with Iridescent Shards, however the amount required just to collect "free" characters is an astronomical amount. Adding these 4 characters would lessen the pay and grind wall of the game and be more inviting to new players.

Third, many of these characters are valuable to new characters. Feng holds one of the basic exhaustion perks, and her other perks are very useful for new players, however by the time most people have her, something like Technician is 100% useless. Hag possesses Ruin, and Doctor has M&A. When asking for builds, many new players find the recommendations are basically "Buy DLC X, Y and Z" because most of the meta killer perks are locked in them.

Lastly, while this would be a TINY loss in profit for BHVR, new DLC packs are constantly providing a stream of income, as well as the very popular cosmetic store. On top of this a paid battlepass is on the way for the game. The sources of revenue keep coming, but to new players it comes off as a list of 'pay to play,' 'pay to unlock the other 2/3 of the cast,' 'pay to look nice,' 'pay to participate in a major event.' It is a needless stack of reasons to stay away from the game.
