No point in playing survivor atm

This is getting ridiculous, i played 9 matched and got camped 9 times today. I expect it to happen here and there. Or If the survivors are being toxic or rushing and sitting by the hook then i get it. But i dont play that way, and the level of camping is getting out of f'n control on ps4 since the update!

Its because a ton of new people have joined the game and are simply feeding the toxicity, be they killer or survivor. This game has become of meme at this point when it comes to deliberately being toxic. Things won't change until the developers set together a large, and competent, team to moderate behavior on console side.

Try not to be caught first. the fact that you were found first and got camped to death 9 times in a row tells me that you are one of these guys running at the killer and clicking at his face in order to get his attention

Maybe you should try to avoid the killer and wait till he camps someone else, donating an easy escape to all other players

Im not surprised that killers camp on console, nurse and huntress suffer from console aim and low fps really hard^^

I wasnt caught first everytime, and i dont go bring any items into any match. I never run toward the killer and always try to avoid them and play stealthy. Dont assume you know how im playing or what im doing in a match. I dont body block, i dont taunt, i dont hook rush, and when the gates open i leave if i make it that far. And camping since the clown update on ps4 is just outrageous because its new characters i guess

If you werent the first one caught and you verse a camping killer, why didnt you do gens and escape? Or did the killer only camp you?
Are you using any twitchty/youtube names or sth like that which makes you a special target?

Dude, there is a difference between getting hooked 3 times and getting hooked 1 time and being killed after 2 minutes. If you think I'm wrong, go play survivor and take a flashlight (you don't need to know how to save) and you won't last longer than 5 minutes (if you get found. But why would you try to hide when you have an item that forces you to interact with the killer?). And it's not their 'job' to kill survivors, because it's a game and the point of playing a game is to have fun (and camping is not fun for anyone)

A flashlight forces you to interact with the killer? Dafuq? Dont listen to ochido, he might tell you that the only way to play survivor is by clicking at a killers face in order to annoy him as much as possible, but that is not how you need to play.

Sure, I can go play survivor, take a flashlight, and easily escape, because I can escape without a flashlight too and a flashlight just makes it easier  (If you believe that a flashlight makes it harder to escape, then you should probably stop using it)

Now do some math and compare the objectives.
There are 4 survivors and 1 killer, survivors need to do 5 gens to complete their objective, the killer needs to do 12 hooks to complete their objective (assuming 3 hooks per survivor)
Now I challenge you to use your brain and think about how fast you can do a gen and how long it takes to get a hook. Is there something you notice?

OK let's calm down now. If their is campy killers you need to punish them by rushing gens. I was against an insidious leatherface a while back and i started gen rushing the killer. Most killers when they see two gens pop will move out of a camp position. To try and salvage some hooks. Often you will need to let the survivor hooked reach stage 2. If they still don't budge, finish the game and leave killers who camp are results orientated or salty. If they depip or get little bloodpoints they will move on to a new strat.

I started the game with a focus on being an active killer not hanging around hooks but continuous over altruism made me paranoid and I begin to camp and patrol more frequently. Eventually I came to realise you need to have some soft camping and still be proactive in defending gens. All killers tend to go through this. But I want to make it clear if you get downed when exit gates are open then the killers best option is to camp the survivor.

As a killer main, I gotta agree.
Most of the last survivor matches I played were super pointless.
Mostly super-camping to earn 1-2 kills.
Camping Nurses, Camping Clowns, Camping Docs :/
Even at high ranks, it's quickly getting old tbh.

Survivor objective- Fix 5 generators and open an exit to escape (Alternative use a hatch to escape). I don't see any rule books around saying how you must play to achieve this objective.

Killer objective- Kill all the survivors. Odd again I don't see any rule book saying how you must play to achieve this objective.

It seems people can play how they want without the other side creating their own imaginary rules. So lets all do just that. Like in life some people will be jerks and others generous. Don't always expect to get your way, and make the best of a bad situation. Life is too short for salt, try something sweeter.

    Cheers!

A flashlight doesn't have any other use than blinding the killer or(rarely) destroy Hag's traps. So it forces you to go to the killer and blind him if you want some value out of it. Sure, you're not FORCED to blind the killer, but then what are you going to do with the remaining battery of your flashlight?
Also, I said that, if you take a flashlight, you'll most likely be chased by the killer until you die (possibly 5 minutes if they play top tier killers). So taking a flashlight will not make your life easier, instead it will make it annoying for you AND the killer

It’s the way people want you to play. Play how YOU want to play and don’t worry about others. As a survivor if you gen rush, try to get yourself tunneled and loop the killer because you play distraction, or simply flashlight/pallet stun the killer then you are toxic. Oh yeah let’s not forget that decisive strike, self care, and sprint burst are crutch perks.

As a killer I can’t say much because face camping is not a viable strategy unless the exit gates are open. However, chainsawing somebody as Leatherface in the first minute then facecamping is very unsportsmanlike and don’t be shocked when you do not pip. If you allowed survivors to fix five generators while you screwed around chasing flashlight Claudette then that is all on you. Juggling to avoid decisive normally will not work out unless you are near a hook. After a few drops they will wiggle out. I cannot tell you how many times I had a killer try juggling me to the basement and I wiggled free because they dropped me so many times. It is easier to just eat the decisive and move on and catch them again.

There are unsportsmanlike survivors who teabag you and can act toxic. There are also crybaby salty killer who DC when they tunnel you and can’t catch you or you break their hex totem. There is no right or wrong way to play the game but if you make yourself out to be toxic then it falls back on you, not the other players.

typically I find my survival chances shoot through the roof if I'm not the very first person caught, find a good hidey spot until the first generator is done.
It sounds dirty, but you can just make up for it in the later game with some calculated saves or generator tapping.

The Devs have said that camping is a mechanic in this game, it's not a reportable offense, and they don't consider it toxic. Best thing to do is not get caught and just gen rush to deny the killer a 2k, been having to do that and even stopped getting WGLF, cause there's no point, no point even in self care, just stick your ass on a gen and get out and have the least amount of interaction with killers as possible.
