Decisive Strike
Is it possible to change it so it isn't so abusable?
At the moment most survivors I play against run it and they use it in the way different then intended.
After getting unhooked you basically get armor for 60 seconds so you don't care about the killer but just go and do whatever.
Maybe it'd worth adding that if killer downs other survivor, or survivor after getting unhooked starts doing another action it disables the perk?

Slug & chase someone else, just remember who you have hooked recently.
30 -
It's fine where it is now.
23 -
Stop tunneling
33 -
Yeah!
Especially in the endgame when the gates are open and you automatically lose regardless of whether you slug them or pick them up.
What a reward for playing "fair" and not tunneling all game.

I'm not talking about tunneling. I'm talking about survivor with DS taking a hit for others because he is safe.
Also you can't just leave him alone as coordinated teams will leave 1 survivor with your to keep you busy while others work on gens.
Investing 1 minutes is too much.

A Survivors slugged is basically the same as on the Hook. So just let them slugged.
4 -
What about situation when killer downed 1 other survivor and then went after just unhooked guy. It's normal if survivors farm each other but why should killer be punished for it? He already downed other survivor so he isn't tunnelling anyone.

if a survivor with ds takes a hit for someone else just slug them while you chase other people
slugging is pressure so this still helps you
6 -
So let me get this straight. You want them to change it again. Lmao. Armor for 60 seconds. Plan on complaining about deliverance next too. Omg they get off the hook sooo easy now, even though they have to safely save someone first. And if they use ds during endgame so what. I really need people to stop complaining about perks. Im amusing your build is Noed. Ruin. Sloppy. Nurses 😆
5 -
I don't remember last time I even used Noed, it's crap perk anyway.
DS is annoying because survivors know how to abuse it.
You claiming it isn't a problem doesn't change anything.
3 -
I do miss the good old days of DS where you could make your life easier by going after the obsession and watching them dc the second they go down after using up their DS. I do think it's better as they can use it to protect themselves from tunnelling.
2 -
It's good that perk protects you from being tunnelled but if I go to the other side of the map, hook someone, go back, find a survivor and still get DS'ed, it doesn't feel quite right.
5 -
Maybe it would be better to make timer last 30 seconds but pause in chase.

DS is nothing compared to what it was before. It's fine where it is now, doesn't frustrate me at all anymore.
5 -
I was this streamers killer in that game, hooked 2 different survivors after and got ds'ed by the streamer.
Shouldnt have tunneled I quess then.
7 -
Can't say i've ever had that problem, but i will either ignore or slug the person fresh off the hook if i run into them too quickly
0 -
Anytime there's an obsession in play, just tunnel everyone to take it away a early as possible.
That way it won't bite you in the endgame.
2 -
Most of my games all 4 survivors run it.
It's too much time wasted and I don't really get to choose who to go for I just go the place where scratches lead and find a survivor.
1 -
I know. That's why I don't care any more. It's a no win situation. It's designed to be a free escape, or 60 secs immunity after each hook.
Several times I got hit by it even after hooking 2 other guys, which is ridiculous. Slugging them during the match will only guarantee them to save DS for the endgame, where you're screwed.
So in the absence of an additional condition that prevents you getting hit by it when actively NOt tunneling:
just tunnel everyone after their first hook until you've taken away all 4. And eat the 5 sec stun as early as possible.
1 -
OR
slap NOED to any non-chainsaw wielder, to even things out in the endgame.
1 -
My biggest gripe with current ds is when hooked survivors hook dive hook getting a free unhook. If you unhook when ds is still active, the ds should be cancelled.
3 -
People complain about NOED, but think that endgame DS / BT is fair, when they create literal "impossible" situations for people that play "fair"/don't try to eliminate survivors asap.
3 -
BT works as Intended. It is supposed to get you out at the cost of other survivor risking it for you.
While I don't like it, it's fair enough.
I don't think DS should work if you got unhooked after gates are powered as you can't really tunnel at that point.
On the other hand having survivor that was just unhooked use his immunity to save other survivors or keep it after someone else got hooked is counter productive. It's just old DS. You can't tunnel someone after you hooked someone else ffs.

And not mori'ed
1 -
Filthy tunneller. You should be banned for that.
"Perk's fine. Killer just want 4k's"
8 -
Green mori is active only 1 time during entire match.
Rancor and noed are active only after game is already won for survivors, hence it's fine.
1 -
You only hooked one after, and no you didn't tunnel either. 5 more seconds and DS wouldn't have hit you. But you were slugging with no gens done, and many hooks already, which is pretty sweaty and toxic of you. At the same time, they are bum rushing the hooks, or you wouldn't have had that many hooks so fast.
1 -
So the killer tunneled not bad plays by survivor? Logic goes a long way.
2 -
They nerf DS so its is only active for a minute after someone is unhooked, and people are still complaining.
I would say unbelievable, but in this community its not.
5 -
Another thing Ive noticed about it is some ppl just jump into lockers to FORCE the DS. You cant slug them, so you either gotta eat it or let them go.
0 -
Just use make your choice or irl timer and slug for duration.
Ds is now fine and i say it as person who used to camp every ds abuser.

@HazeHound Make your choice works well as a timer as long as its not on cooldown. Actually saw this is a video this morning and thought it was pretty genius. Still though, I dont think people using a perk designed to protect them from tunneling should be able to make risky plays risk free. In the video posted on this thread earlier, the killer hit the person unhooking instead of the person JUST off hook, probably anticipating BT. The killer was obviously NOT tunneling. This is why typically I agree with any people when they say that anyone doing an objective or rescuing a teammate off hook shouldnt be able to be saved via DS if they get caught for it. I dont care if the timer was an hour long, and only went away if you touch a gen, totem, ect.

I have a thread under balance that gives a solution to both problems.

And he still got hit by "anti-tunnel" perk.
1 -
That's the only instance in which Leatherface's chainsaw has an actual use (his chainsaw attack goes through lockers).
0 -
It needs to get removed
3 -
No it needs to get adjusted.
0 -
Pretty much.
2 -
Stop expecting perk to play for you
4 -
Not removed. Just made into perk that gives you escape if you really are tunneled and not just give you armor for 60 seconds regardless of your actions.
0 -
Tunneling is one of counters to gen rush why it should be punished?Ridiculous
1 -
Just because Genrushing is a problem doesn't mean Tunneling should be the solution.
3 -
This content has been removed.

This isnt some cute game for kids so why should someone play nice? The way to please everyone? Also tunneling has counters :
Juke killer or let others help you to lose the killer easy

Moment I hook 2nd survivor and streamer saves another one. 2 survivors hooked after the streamer and I get DS'ed by streamer.
Edit: @miaasma I know you are smart and good survivor as I see you sniping Ryanpez69 often in his stream, do you think what happened to me in this clip is remotely fair?

Use Make Your Choice because when the unhooked survivor gets rescued, Make Your Choice starts a 60 second timer similar to Decisive Strike. If your Make Your Choice timer expires, then it's safe to pick up the unhooked survivor because their Decisive Strike would've expired as well. I use it on my Nurse a lot because I know when exactly to pick them up. 😊

It's amazing people are complaining about DS now. 60 seconds of armor? Risk free? I'm not sure what game these people are playing but it certainly isn't DBD.
Assuming you aren't tunneling, it shouldn't be too difficult to find another survivor to focus on while the other gets rescued. If you're good enough at the game where you not only down and hook a different survivor but find the original unhooked survivor and down them in less than 60 seconds, then just wait a bit for DS to expire. You're already applying extreme pressure and are clearly in a winning position. If you get hit by DS, it's on you.
This is like survivors complaining about noed. If you die to it, it's because you allowed it to activate by not cleansing totems. If you get hit by DS, it's because you were impatient and didn't wait 60 seconds for the perk to deactivate.
Seriously, I see more people complaining about perks on both sides where it's the people complaining about it that are the ones that hold all the cards as to whether the perk is even used it.

Let me remind you, the time waste and the hidden DS was the biggest reasons why it was so bad before. Hidden DS would go off while you're carrying someone for a ways, essentially wasting a whole lot of time, and you would often have to waste time dribbling and so on, too. This was all at the start of the match with a fresh hook, so that would often mean you wouldn't be able to get the obsession unless you were willing to eat a stun or dribble them. It's fine the way it is now, even with the armor for 60 seconds. It has a prerequisite to activate now and is pretty easy to work around.
If someone were to have hooked someone close to you and you happened to be saved, you wouldn't be safe from them returning to tunnel. It's just to make sure your time between your hooks (whenever you use it) is a bit longer, even if you are vulnerable.

Idk, it's fine to me.
Got stabbed once in 2 weeks.
