The new Freddy will determine if I keep playing or not
I recently just started playing DBD again after taking a few months off. I got sick of playing nurse and the other select few viable killers at red ranks. I am trying to stay optimistic about the Freddy rework despite seeing some constructive criticism here on the forums about his new rework being lackluster. Devs, please start trying to balance your killers among the purple and red ranks. It sucks how players like me cannot get excited for a new killer because they turn out to be mediocre or even awful...
Freddy is one of my favorite horror movie icons, so this will be either super exciting or super disappointing for me. Please make it the former.

Who would be foolish enough to think they could do any better with map reworks?

Don't get your hopes up like I did with GF.
We need to face fact, they will never ever make a killer properly viable. We just have to stick with nurse or uninstall.

It is highly likely that Freddy is being balanced with the post-map-rework game state in mind; not the one we have now. It is my personal theory that they have an "ideal" balance state in mind for after the map rework that would not be considered a viable killer prior to it.

We'll just have to wait 10+ years at the rate they're doing maps. What is it, two maps this first year? Yikes.
