How do you counter...
A spirit who can hear footsteps? Any tips are appreciated. :)

Uhhhhh maybe try lightweight? Urban Evasion? There is no perk to make footsteps more quiet :(

You don't move for the time she's phase walking. She'll then have to guess where you are as it could just as well be that other sounds have overpowered the footstep sounds.

Spine Chill always helps a bit. But vs a good spirit you have a hard time anyway

Grab her spirit beads and start praying. Or use Premonition/Spine Chill.

You have eyes. If you see her Husk standing around, assume she's phase-walking to you and adjust accordingly.
I think it's better to lose a couple of seconds on a gen, but remain hidden and unscathed, rather than being yanked off of it and hooked.

Try walking/crouching in non grass areas, it actually messes them up a lot more.
They usually expect you to be moving faster but you can use the varying movement speeds and lower footstep audio to walk in differing directions before sprinting again

Urban Evasion. I don't think crouching makes much noise.

Well if you were already running and then suddenly stop moving you're #########. Especially if they're using speed add ons the moment the scratch marks stop appearing they'll know exactly where you are. They can feel around for collision. If you tried walking away they'll still hear you and immediately close the distance with her increased lunge range coming out of her power.
Spine chill only helps you against her if you aren't already getting chased. Iron will only blocks out pain grunts. They can still hear everything else.
If you're getting chased and the spirit player has good headphones you might as well just lay down.
DH has been my only saving grace to avoid 1 haunting lunge attack. After that they know I have it and counter it easily.

I wish the devs would make lightweight reduce the noise made by walking, would be especially good in this situation seeing as there is nothing survivors can really do about it.

That's easy always know were your killers at. If she's messing with Mr King u know your blendette is safe to work. Most people look for ruin. I look for the killer and just keep a eye on him.
