Does Meg breathe louder than other survivors?

So I was playing a match last night as The Pig and I actually felt pretty mean on this one Meg, as she was really stealthy and I never actually saw her, I just kept hearing her. It honestly sounded so exaggerated how loud her breathing was through my headphones. It sounded like she had never done a day of cardio in her life. No other survivor sounded so loud, it was literally just the Meg. I didn't have any perks equipped to make breathing noises louder either, it's just whenever I would crouch walk past her location I could hear her having a cardiac arrest behind cover.

Was this a sound glitch or is Meg just really loud?

I wasn't using any perks that made people breathe louder...

I was using Surveillance, Make Your Choice, A Nurse's Calling & NOED.

I think so actually, whenever I play Meg and start a match, I always think, "Is there Stridor?" but whenever I play as any other survivor and the killer does have Stridor, I never notice. Weird. :O

One time, I was lucky, I heard heavy breathing but apparently it was a Pig that vaulted a window over me and missed me XD. I was playing Meg and she somehow didn't see me.

I main Spirit. All the survivors have different audio levels. It also varies on the map. Bill echoes really bad on Autohaven, for example. The swamp maps tend to be the most consistent audio-wise.

Seems true after they added additional noises to every survivor for jumping from high places not too long ago.

Meg's breathing is so loud! I usually main her or Feng Min and whenever I play Feng I never notice her breathing as much as I notice Meg's whenever I'm playing a match with her

Having played Jeff for a while trying to level him up, and standing next to a Meg for a little bit... No. She is not. Is she loud? Yes, but not the loudest.

I can still hear Jeff's non-injured, non-running breathing in my head.

See, I don't see many people playing as Jeff when I'm the killer, so I can't comment on his breathing. I just know that in this particular lobby it was only the Meg I could hear breathing, the other survivors seemed silent.

Meg is loud but I feel like Jane is even louder. They have definitely made survivors louder and making extra sounds they didn't have before like the sound when they fall from a certain height, which I think was implemented a few months ago, and they are much louder cleansing totems. Like who makes that much noise taking down a totem? The foot falls are so loud that when I wear a headset I always think I'm being followed but its just my survivors footfalls.

@feechima I’ll have to listen out for Jane when I next encounter her when I’m playing as killer. I feel like nobody ever plays her anymore, so it’s so rare for her to be in my lobby. I actually like the new survivors fall sounds. They make me laugh. 😂

I feel like the loudest survivor might be jeff?? Unless thats only when he is injured. I can't be too sure, since people usually don't ever play as him. However, I switch my main between Nea and Meg and yes- i agree. Meg is pretty loud when she's just crouching. Or any action really. She's also probably the loudest survivor when she's hooked, it's crazy. I feel bad for those Meg Mains xDD

Survivor seems to have different volumes when it comes to breathing and engine sounds.

    Males

Ace and Tapp probably have the most quiet injured sounds.

Jake and Quentin end up whining like tortured whales

    Females

Honestly I think probably Kate had the quietest injured sound out of the females.

Jane and Min you have to go out of your way not to hear them

She’s just loud. Meg is the athlete too, like why is she’s so out of breath all time? It’s crazy.

Meg's always been loud. One of the reason I don't use her.

Well the direction BHVR is taking the game is definitely making survivors less stealthy. Meanwhile killers are being made more stealthy.

It's a very weird direction to take the game to be honest.

Some survivor grunt and breath louder than others. Jeff and ash are the worst of all i think, Kate is the best overall.
