Autodidact QOL buff

so I’ve been using this perk for 10 rounds and the tokens I get are about one or two only, Meaning that I was only being a disadvantage to my team because I couldn’t get three tokens to start getting the bonus percentage, Because it is very rare for a teammate to come specifically for me and ask me to heal them because they more than likely have self-care meaning they will go and heal themselves, How ever running empathy seems to have helped me increase my token to about three or four it is very rare for me to get five tokens and even if I get five tokens the round will probably be over by now, So my suggestion is to make autodidact have built in empathy, about 20 meters or something like that and double the chances of skill check so I can at the very most get five tokens in one heal, I would love to hear your suggestions and thoughts

Autodidact needs something else to guarantee Skill Checks, and I liked @No_Mither_No_Problem's idea.
Autodidact:
You start the trial with a -50% healing speed penalty. For every successful healing Skill Check, gain a 15%/20%/25% healing speed increase up to a maximum of 150% total healing speed increase.
Basically, the longer you're healing someone, odds are you'll get more Skill Checks to trigger! When you have this perk maxed out, it will take 8 seconds to heal a survivor the equivalent of a health state. :)

There’s an error in your math.
A 150% healing speed increase is 2.5 charges a second. At 16 charges, it would take 6.4 seconds to heal somebody, not 8. That’s 0.4 seconds more than old We’ll Make It.
Also, the devs have prevented healing speed bonuses from being exceeding 100%.

You can get 5, you just have to heal people a ton and get lucky with the skill checks

Subtract the 50% penalty, and you'll get a 100% maximum healing speed increase. If the 50% penalty wasn't there, you'd be completely right. :)

Well you said “up to a maximum of a 150% total healing speed increase” which implies the ultimate net value would be +150, not +100.

Sorry, I'm not really good at wording perk effects. Yeah, your highest healing speed will be 100%, which is as fast as We'll Make It! :)

The best thing for autodidact would be to make a fully completed heal grant a token.

Should have just kept it at the token system with it still saying max tokens is 5.

I would change how you would get a token. You get 1 token after any survivor is healed from another survivor.

I would leave the perk as it is, but with an adicional of "increases trigger odds while healing another survivor without a medkit by x%".

Would be nice if Luck perks and offerings increased chances for skill checks too.
