Survivor main switching teams

I've played pretty exclusive survivor since I got the game (around the Leatherface chapter) Never played to rank up, always solo, and it's just become a generally unenjoyable experience. I get so frustrated with the combination of ruin+camping+tunneling, lather, rinse repeat. It makes it a completely piss poor experience for the first survivor caught (often me). I realize that's not the killer's problem. They're doing their job. So now, I aim to be the change I want to see in the world, and have decided to switch over to team killer. Any tips? I plan on being a "fair" killer: no camping, no tunneling, respecting the 4%, no dribbling, letting a survivor who "earned it" go. That being said, I realize the survivor community can be very toxic as well. It will be an interesting experience to say the least.

If you wanna rank up, you gotta be really smart and skillful if you're going to respect the survivors. They will almost never respect you. I have had games were I respect the survivors and give them a chance, but they still T bag at the exit gates and whatever. If you want to have fun, focus on doing that, don't let the survivor BMing distract you. I play killer to have fun while being feared at the same time, so I usually dont respect survivors and the 4% rule and such.

Have fun and good luck! :)

Oh yea, I should add I play for fun, not for rank. For that reason I'll often let a bad start turn into a depip just because I don't find waiting on a camped hook enjoyable.
I don't expect survivors to respect me though, I've seen how some survivors are!

Don't respect the 4% to get teabagged. Dribble because d strike is powerful, no need to tunnel but if you catch the person and no one else is around you better get em lol.

Your idea of being a fair Killer won't bring you far. In low ranks, you may be able to play like that and rank up, but that won't be the case anymore on mid to high ranks.

You are a tad more experienced than OP, who hasn't played Killer yet.

I play with my main goal being: to enjoy the game, I play respectfully until its made blatantly obvious that the survivors are playing just to be ######### (what I hate most is hook blocking and not leaving after the exit gates are opened... Makes it obvious they're objective is not to escape). When things like that happen, I remember "enjoy the game" and do whatever possible to make it a bloodbath lol because lets be real, there's nothing more satisfying. Especially when you turn it around on them and they start to DC lmao! Either way, I enjoy the game. Win or lose I continue to play because I enjoy improving my weaknesses and polishing my strengths. Never forget respect is a mutual thing... Don't let them walk all over you. 😸

I played a game the other day on LF to get my daily for 4 downs with the chainsaw.  Survs rushed the hook repeatedly and I got 2 double-downs.  The second time, I hooked one of them and juggled the other until they wiggled free, then moved away to let them unhook and escape.  After all, I had my daily, and I hate playing LF.

The response from them?  Salt and insults in the lobby for downing them in the first place and "camping" when they rushed the hook before I could take 2 steps away from it.

You just can't win and being "nice" is never met with gratitude.  I say play however you want, be respectful and say gg after every match, and otherwise ignore the lobby or you'll go mad as a killer.

The majority of the dbd community is toxic af lol to avoid exposure, suit up before playing or socialising with the overall community. It helps lol

Keep us updated (maybe count the matches) on when you start camping, tunneling, etc.
Basically, when you turn to the dark side, because the survivors broke you.
Btw. you couldn´t have chosen a "better" moment: rank reset!

Oh geezus, I didn't realize rank reset. Bahahaha. Looks like a good time to see the whole spectrum of survivors. Probably the thing that's going to hurt me most is the toxicity of the SWF teams. I've always been a solo player and had that element of fear of not knowing what my teammates were doing, which is great for the killer... is someone going to unhook them? Is the killer camping? Should I just finish this gen? With SWF teams you don't have that element of the survivors being in the dark. If one teammate spots you the whole team knows whats up.

Any tips with 360s? I'm not very good at them as a survivor, but I see some survivors taking killers for a ride with them. Is there a good counter?

Don't respect pallets, cut loops tightly, slug DS users, dribble them if close to a hook, slug when appropriate, don't tunnel unless you have to (if you see no other survivor around after a save), mind game them better when you can, if a survivor manages to spin you the first time expect it again and just get close and hit them without lunging (it's not difficult to "counter"). Just, have fun, don't pay attention to any t-bags and don't chase around "infinites"...

    Good luck

Oh, check out the videos in this thread I started. They might help you more...

LOL Judging by the comments, I AM NOT GOING TO ENJOY TRYING TO BE FAIR. But even when I have played friendly killer, I still end up with about as many points as the survivor team I let farm. I try to play for fun so that doesn't mean I always have to get kills necessarily. And believe me, I will counter toxic survivors with equal toxicity. I just mean I won't be douchey to someone who's not being douchey to me.

Yes... yes... let the hate flow through you.

You´ll see yourself. You play nice, hook everyone twice, but don´t kill them: "get rekt noob killer"

I honestly wonder how long it takes until you turn to the dark side.

You actually can make it, months ago I went the same route from playing survivor exclusively to about 99% killer currently with the goal to fair play, and I'm still doing it that way and enjoying it. Sure there are some groups that try their best to ruin your day, but then I just have to try a single match as survivor and I'm happily back to playing killer.

Yes, and the killers like you (and hopefully me) make it enjoyable, even if you die, you know you died trying and not because someone stood by a hook or ignored others to instadown you.
