ranking up in low ranks, new killers adapting to camping, frustration from both sides?
So been thinking about it, and noticed few things that might be true behind that question.
- For new killers vs new survivors they might see camping is easy choice because 3 other survivors are shitting their pants when someone hooked.
- adapting the camping strat up till rank 10 or a bit higher might be the only choice for those killers and will only be good for camp and bad in chases overall
This imo will promote camping for new coming killers but will not be helpful to add to their frustration in the future, as they will encounter more experienced survivors and tactics that will leave them completely mindless of what to do.
More over there will be killers complaining about survivors being OP, yes they are in a way which we mostly know as SWF, as Solo survivors are that OP in comparison, and low rank survivors will complain about not having a chance to do anything in game and end up rage quitting.
wouldn't it be nice if the devs at least shows the pros and cons of camping, so new players are aware and develop their skills in chases, cause what i been seeing in low ranks made me feel sorry for killers generation, especially when meeting same people doing same mistakes and i try to give advises to them as much as possible.
thoughts?

I think you have showcased the issue. Most "killAr mAinZ" complain about survivors being OP, because they only want to acknowledge the top 1% of SWF who actually loop, rush and tryhard. Being a solo-survivor is another thing and being a solo-survivor at 20-15-10 ranks is often a coinflip or a campfest.
How do I know, being a killer main myself, you say? Well. It has been a while since I played this game and these days I tried 20-30 matches as killer, from rank 20 and onward. All of my games have been 4k, except a few crutch escapes. For the record, I played vs 1k hours players too and not just newbies.
All of this to say that even though many "killAr mAinz" love complaining about being bullied and being too weak, they often forget how friggin' powerful is the killer role against solo-survivors and in high to mid (and to a certain extent low) ranks.
The solution? Well, I'm not a designer, but I would surely make steps towards differentiating the gameplay experience, based on different ranks.

That is only partially correct, if a new killer plays against new survivors he will most likely not camp because they do down really quick, so it is more rewarding and fun to chase them.
HOWEVER, if a new killer faces the toxic survivors intentionally bullying him, then he will realize really quick that camping is the only way how to kill some survivors before the game is overSurvivors are OP in many ways, SWF is definitely a big issue but its not the only problem
It is really ironical, but these toxic survivors are breeding the new generation of killers and will complain in the end that everbody camps.
Personally, I couldnt care less about camping. I believe it is even exciting, because you know that the chase will be your last one. A mistake (subtracting second chance stuff) and you are dead, isnt that what a horror game is about?
Against a killer who just leaves any hook, there is no pressure at all and the game is really boring (only exception is a good nurse, I really like those games)Another factor you have to take into account is that the new killer bought a horror game and wants to play the powerrole in it. He realizes that the only way how to project power is by camping, so you cant really blame him for that. It is just sad that killers are more like clowns against experienced survivors, but well rank 20 balance ftw

@Master yes i realize and agree with what you said 100%, but the issue will progress after reaching mid-high tier rank, where they realize they have no skill in chasing, which means mostly not even 1 person to be hooked and camped. and this will get killers frustrated and only complain about them being powerless, towards not only SWF but also randoms, or good solo survivors, because lack of chasing skills.
Getting paired with toxic survivors in low ranks are mostly due to 2 reasons:
- rank reset
- deranking people who like to ruin the game for low ranks.

In the PTB ranking up is really easy one as survivor so if it goes to live in its current state a lot of issues will be solved behind survivors complaining and killers in higher ranks will have lobbies now.1

@Zagrid Ranking is one of the issue that would be solved, but the thing that needs to be solved is how to make sure those who rely on camp increase their chasing ability, because i witness people complaining on forum and stumble upon them randomly ingame and most of what they do in low rank is camp, and complain about how bad high rank is. Yet if they do the same thing ofc camping won't solve the issue and complains will increase from both sides, survivors most cause they are 4 in 1 match while 1 killer in the same match.
