Is this Game Over?
When you’re the last survivor and you’re downed with the hatch closed without an exit gate open, is that game over as a survivor? And I overlooking something or is it a situation or giving the killer a hook and hope I struggle, or hide until the timer is over?
its no bother, and I tend to jump back and forth between those two, but I wasn’t sure if there was something I was missing? Can you use they key while downed if the hatch is closed?

If you're downed with no ways to get back up (adrenaline/unbreakable) then yes.
And im not sure if you can use the key while downed... I think you can't

No, you can use a key while downed to open the hatch.

No you cannot use any items while downed - even a key.

Total BS. How many hours do you have, 10? Better try it yourself first before spreading nonsense.

Unless they changed it within the last year or so ( I don't use keys) you can't.

To clarify this out for better understanding:
While downed you can ONLY use a KEY (dull or skeleton) by pressing M1 to open the hatch, you CANNOT use it by pressing M2 or whatsoever which clearly wasn't the question in this thread.

@megdonalds You can't use keys at all while downed anymore.
Dark was correct.

If so, then the devs changed it with the introduction of the EGC. But I could swear i saw that hatch thing happening lately.

It's not a game over because you can still strugle out of their grasp and open the exit-gates. You have to be lucky at that point but its not game over yet.

It's never been possible to use keys while downed. It was also virtually never necessary because if hatch was closed, that meant there was another survivor in the game, otherwise the hatch was always open.

Thank you all for responding, it’s appreciated!
