Tips For Survivors Against Spirit By A Spirit
Spirit basics: She has footstep sounds and disturbs crows when phasing. Both of which are noticeable inside her terror radius. She also has an audio cue while phasing(when you are outside her terror radius).
To add further, if you suspect she's faking her power then run towards and slow vault a window or flashlight her. Anticipate that she has not exhausted her power and is ready to use unless you are certain of otherwise. If you are within her terror radius then get off gens or she might grab you(her phasing sound will be suppressed). Also, keep in mind she can bump into your hitbox so don't wait at the gen either. Do not wait at pallets , instead, run to the next loop.
When she messes up and is without relevant add ons her recharge time is slow which punishes her with 110% movement speed. Her choosing recharge time addons would take the place of other possible ones like speed or duration. Backtrack on your scratchmarks if you need to run.
Respect bbq&c by hiding in a locker, being within 40 meters of killer, stand in place for 5 seconds after a hook then leave the area. If nothing else then hide behind a generator in relation to where the survivor is being hooked (pay attention to the direction she walks to after the pick up animation). Do not heal near the hook after being unhooked.
All of the above do not require perks.
Perks that help tremendously against Spirit as well as other killers are spine chill and iron will. Any perks that remove scratchmarks like distortion. Lightweight is great, especially if backtracking. Quick and quiet, dance with me, and exhaustion perks. Any if not most meta perks like adrenaline or decisive strike work well too.
If anyone has corrections or something to add then please do so.

I can’t hear footsteps anymore, I don’t bring items, a lot of Spirits I see hear my footsteps so urban evading is a better choice than running. I can’t see the killer inside the lobby so you can’t really list perks as counterplay.

I can list perks as counterplay as they are also effective against other killers which I stated as much.
Also, I am able to hear her footsteps.

What would a perk be considered if not a counter? @GrootDude

Yes, I understand that we cannot know what the opponent will do but you can play on your weaknesses (I'm bad against this killer or this kind of survivor). Or your strengths (stealthy, gen jockey, bait etc)
Just because we are not able to accurately anticipate what the other team will do does not mean there aren't counters in the game. Perks/playstyles can counter eachother such as DS countering tunneling, unbreakable countering slugging, calm spirit countering Doctor (and perks that cause screams) and so on.

A fantastic example is that distortion counters aura perks
Another way of looking at it would be asking yourself if calm spirit helps against Doctor. Or, if iron will helps against Spirit. Do they help? If yes then it's a counter.
Ask yourself what killer do I have the most trouble with then choose perks accordingly. You can choose how you want to play and different playstyles counter eachother.
If who you go up against is strong against your playstyle then they countered you.
You don't need to know what the other team is equipped with and how they will play to choose your own playstyle.

There's really not much you can do against a Spirit without Iron Will. Especially, if you're a Jeff main like me lol.
You might be able to take advantage of a really strong loop. So there's that.
Also, Spine Chill can help you avoid the first hit.

You can't take obvious pathing against her. For example, if we're at god bus on Autohaven, don't loop it like you would against an M1 killer. I'm probably waiting at the other end of the loop listening for your breathing.
You can use corn to your advantage on a corn map. The male survivors echo really badly in the corn, especially Jake.

@Mister_Holdout That right there is what you don't want to do. Do not stay at a loop and run to the next one.

@Kabu I know looping Spirit is a bad idea. I was just pointing out that sometimes you can take advantage of a building loop or something similar (like a safe pallet).

Windows > pallets against Spirit.
Run to a window, especially the strong ones as they are more effective against Spirit than other killers. She will be forced to either 1) stop phasing to vault the window and then has to wait for her power, or 2) try to cut you off which gives you a chance to go another direction and escape the chase. If it's a strong window (eg. bottom window on Grim Pantry main structure) then you can actually loop her phase walk. And when you can loop her phase walk it SERIOUSLY hurts her. Like literally it's crippling to a Spirit.
Pallets are extremely unsafe against Spirit, you should either avoid them or drop it early and play it like a window.
LT windows are less safe but can still work. You just have to be very unpredictable with vaulting.
And if you know she is phase walking then you want to walk. Yes she could still hear you cry in pain but if you time it right you can get her to go past you enough that she can't hit you directly out of phase walk. All you need to do is dodge that phase walk attack and then she's just a 110 killer for a short time, which you can loop like normal.

In a pallet loop you have a few options:
1) if you are uninjured or running iron will you can simply walk away from the loop, if there's an un-thrown pallet, move away from it cause if she looses you she will usually assume you are there. Also do not hug the loop cause she can run into you that way and detect you.
2) Throw the pallet early and hope she guesses wrong on the side you are on on. Hedge that bet by walking away to the other side of the pallet.
3) Make as many scratch marks as you can in a wide area while she is phasing hoping to confuse her.
4) If your hearing is good you can hear her footsteps and the direction she is coming - slam that pallet on her head when you hear it come close.
In no case should you go closer to her 'husk', she may not be phasing at all. You can test this by walking away from her and get out of her view, she will start moving pretty quickly again if she is faking.
As for prayer beads bracelet and working on gens, the only reliable warning is spine chill.
A lot comes down to luck.

Nurse is OP, not Spirit. If you make it into a game of luck you are playing against Spirit wrong.

Dude you are getting to Sarcastaball levels of sarcasm here. I'm honestly having a hard time telling what is something you really mean and what is something you say just to get a rise out of others.

Spirit is all about the mental headspace of both participants. Don’t be predictable. I get that listing perks isn’t the best since you don’t know what killer you’ll face before a match, but ones like spine chill, iron will, and any components of a Houdini build are great regardless of killer, so it’s good to at least keep in mind. Use your scratch marks as decoys, and don’t be afraid to go for bold walking moves, as a good spirit could hit you no matter how well you run. @thesuicidefox already brought up a great tip about windows, as you have a lot of options when approaching one. Also keep in mind that a spirits hair rises when she’s phasing, in case it’s a fake, but this can be hard to tell based on cosmetics or distance. If you reallyyyy care, make sure to play both sides, as you’ll be able to learn routes that survivors normally take, and try to avoid them.
