New Killer Concept: THE HOOK (killer, power, perks, map, mori)

Killer: The Hook


Gender: Male

Terror Radius: 34m

Height: Tall


Description: A tall Bearded man dressed in a torn bloody rain coat and overalls. His face will be very thin with incaved cheeks and have a waterlogged effect. He will have bright blue eyes and bits of coral coming off certain parts of his face. He will be wearing black boots and gloves with a rain hat similar to his rain suit. In his left hand he will have a lantern, his right hand will be replaced by a large fish hook. Some parts of his body will be covered up by streams of fog.


Backstory: Horace Black was a sailor his whole life, he grew up on the ocean and was always making stops along the eastern coast in a small town called Newport. Every few months someone from the town would go missing, never to be found again.


In 1932 Black decided it was time to retire from sailing, he always loved Newport so he decided to take over being the light house keeper so he could stay close to the ocean. Once Horace moved into the old lighthouse the amount of people missing increased, people were going missing every week, then every day. The people of the town started seeing a connection, they knew Horace was taking these people. They decided to rise up and rid their town of this evil.


8 of the towns strongest men went to kill Horace, it was a foggy night, Horaces favourite time. 8 men went into the lighthouse and none came out, one woman, Claire Doyle saw the incident from the old house down the road, she told the story of a man appearing out of the fog with a large hook capturing and killing men everywhere around them, the fog turned black and just as fast as he would appear, he was gone, forever.


Passive Ability: Deadman's Fog


At the beginning of the trial the hook is surrounded by a thick layer of fog in a 32 meter radius, survivors can't see 8 meters in front of them and suffer from the blindness effect when inside the fog, the hook will not be affected by the fog. The fog will be very sudden, survivors will not see the fog coming and wont know which direction it comes from


Main Ability: Eye of a sailor


The hook will wave his lantern and the fog will extend on to the whole map for 60 seconds and the survivors vision will be decreased to 6 meters in front of them and suffer from the blindness effect, the hook will not be affected by the fog. While in the fog survivors farther than 12 meters auras will be shown to the hook. Survivors that have light and are no longer in the fog will not have their auras revealed the killer.


To increase vision survivors will have to find Lanterns which will be placed around the map (similar to the cleansing pools). Once the survivor finds a lantern they will be able to see 12 meters around them. The Lantern will give off a very bright light visible to other survivors and the killer. Lanterns flame lasts 20 seconds. Survivors can throw lanterns which will take away the fog in a 12 meter radius but they will lose the lantern. To throw the lantern survivors will have to hit a very difficult skill check, if this skill check is missed then the killer will receive a noise notification. Lights from completed generators will also take away fog.


Perks:


Hex: Destruction: Performing any breaking action will break anything in the map, including Generators that are started and pallets that are down. Any survivors working on a gen will be faced with a difficult skill check when the killer performs a breaking action. Missing this skill check will result in a 3/4/5% regression.


Davey Jones Locker: If a survivor is in a locker while in your terror radius they will be pushed out of the locker and become exposed for 6/8/10 seconds.


Tangled Line: A survivor performing a vaulting action during a chase will be affected by the hindered effect for 2/3/4 seconds. This perk can only activate once every 15 seconds. 


New Map: Abandoned Coast

The Old Lighthouse: This map will consist of one main center structure, a large lighthouse with 2 stories and a top balcony, it will have a similar style as the Asylum but have one extra level. The other structures will be an old house down a dirt road, the house will be an average house like in Haddonfield. The final main structure will be the Killer shack, the basement can spawn in either the lighthouse or the killer shack. The map will have a dock like in the swamp, there will be an ocean visible but not reachable, a small fence will surround the ocean side of the map, the regular walls will surround the rest. Miscellaneous objects in this map: Barrels, crates, fishing supplies and nets, regular walls around the map.


Mori: The Hooks Mori will start with the fog around the survivor getting very thick, they will see the flame of his lantern approaching them but then dissapear, and reappear behind them, the survivor will be unaware he's behind them and will get hit over the head with the lantern he will then pick them up by the neck with the hook and throw them to the side.

    His fog seems a little OP if you can see everyone. Otherwise, good idea!

    I would make the lanterns last a little longer, and change Hex: Destruction to something like 32/64/96 meters just so it’s a bit more balanced. But this is a good concept overall.
