Should Make your choice affect Huntress' hatchets?

Ok, this is not me saying that they should, this is an honest discussion about why you think they should/shouldn't.

Personally I am kind of up and down with the idea, on one hand I think it would be nice to get a ranged MYC hit but on the other hand, I feel it would be too powerful if you were a really good Huntress player.

P.S. I don't believe her hatchets should be affected by NOED, this is only for MYC

I think it would be a bad idea - Huntress is already plenty powerful as it is

The devs wont make special cases for perks. If they did then, Franklin's demise, Noed, The third seal, and all other perks would have the same effect as well as they would add it to the chainsaws, traps, and so on.

I think when it comes to insta-downs, no hatchets should not be affected. Only because Huntress has an add-on that makes them that way.

Machine gun hatches plus MYC affecting them 😬 oh god no chance

It would be a pain I think to code an exception like this, because hatchets don't have that interaction with exposed and there are a few different ways that exposed is triggered on survivors.
Honestly hatchets are so strong, I would not advise letting them take advantage of the exposed status effect. If you want a consistent instadown character this is why billy or cannibal exists.

    Mmmm no, too powerful.
    Franklin's Demise should though.

Either make it effect all secondary attacks or no secondary attack.

    It's overly complicated otherwise.

Oh to the hell no, Franklins procs off melee attacks, ehre let me throw an axe at you from across the map for free dura loss and item drop. There's enough wide open maps where huntresses can already nuke anyone she sees.

That would be too strong, in my opinion.

Franklin's did originally apply to chainsaws but they removed it. Which is funny because Franklin was killed by a chainsaw and dropped his flashlight from it.

It's very easy to not get hit by an across-the-map hatchet.
For example, here's one thing you mustn't do: Stay still.
And another one: Repair the generator on the side that faces the map wall/faces a not-open area.

That doesn't help since a good huntress will just anticipate and she'll also arc her shots and hit you still. Giving a ranged champion who already can get an instant down with a addon makes her op. She doesn't need it and the arguments above are invalid.

And a good Survivor can anticipate that they shouldn't be still.
No matter how well a Huntress can anticipate, the Hatchets go one direction only and can't travel through objects.
If she can arc-hit you, she's already close enough for the Survivor to know she's that close.

And besides, it's just a ######### Item: You get tons of 'em in Bloodwebs.
"Oh to the hell no" Acting like it's the end of your Survivor life.

She's allowed the FD buff and the arguments i make are valid. :P

Still wrong, I can and have also been hit across entire maps with high arc shots, it's not that hard to do once you've practiced it. Also stop with the logical fallacies in your argument,s they're failing spectacularly right now.

The devs aren't stupid enough to ever make a ranged killer have exposed like abilities on their attacks. Just because you want to be able to nail someone with something that's only available for melee doesn't mean you're going to get it.

If you want make your choice procs then do it the same as everyone else, GET INTO MELEE RANGE. While I like playing Huntress even people I know that main her say the same thing no. The only ones that'd want this are the ones that want to be able to abuse another mechanic.

    I doubt it.
I think Huntress just needs to be less loopable overall, rather than optional buffs.

  • Member Posts: 1,604

Not gonna happen since Franklin doesn't affects her hatchets

Should make your choice insta down people with Freddy's dream state? or how about clown's bottles?....See how ridiculous that sounds?

How about we buff that that have long overdue buffs Freedy and Wraith then we go to the mid-tier characters who needs some buff love Miss Piggy Bubba and debatably Myers then we could focus on the high tier killers who can hold their own when all the other Killers are in a reliable place where they can hold their own as well.

Well that argument is irrelevant because Clown's bottles and freddy's dream state are not damaging attacks like hatchets, so no MYC should not affect these and I made no argument for this

TBH, I actually would put Leatherface among the Frddy and Wraith level of attention. He's an awful killer

I don't play Leatherface too much (or at all) outside of dailies so you're probably right.

Yeah, he's extremely clunky and unreliable. But we agree on everything else!

Well I am glad this discussion got some attention and it is clear that majority of player don't want her hatchets to be affected. That's cool I was just curious!

She has Iridescent heads already, I think make your choice hatchets would be over kill.

Secondary ability will never be effected by these perks; Noed, MYC.
It has already been confirmed by the Devs.
