Evil dead dlc worth buying?

Member Posts: 31

I mean ash is really loud for example loud grunts loud breathing 2 crappy perks

But mettle of man

idk its the only ok perk

i dont know if i should buy it for MoM or wait for the shrine

because the shrine exists and gave away perks .ash Williams is kinda useless and awful

They could at least add a zombie killer for example a really smart zombie killer instead of loud and obnoxious survivor with only one con and thats MoM . it really worth buying ?

and it soo damn expensive for a crappy dlc pack

i rather buy legion than him lol

Flip flop is one of the most under used and most amazing perks in the game for people who hate being slugged. Paired with unbreakable/and/or/tenacity and possibly a toolbox - the killers never ever going to hook you.

I don't get why people don't comment on it more. People love unbreakable, but pass on the equivalent to a free infinite d strike against sluggers? Old d strike had it if your not the obsession it would activate at 45% wiggle. This perk gives you a Max of 45% wiggle. That equates to just under half the max distance a killer can walk with you on their back, or a slightly less efficient old dstrike. Paired with new dstrike and tenacity, you can bait the killer to leave you on the ground, wiggle away and get picked up and either shank them or just wiggle off.

Also Ash is just a cool survivor and he talks on the main menu screen. Get him if you like Ash, and the potential flip flop can have.

Feel like this is the problem with most survivor DLCs. Ppl get them to buy the perks, rather than the character. While it MAY be true for some killer DLCs as well (most ppl buy Bubba for BBQ), typically ppl who buy a killer...want to play that killer.

I stopped playing solo Flip Flop because even when 2 hooks near me were full of my teammates, Killer still hooked me.

For me same problem with Breakdown (solo players, no SWF) --> Too many hooks near you everywhere.

No, don’t make the same mistake I did.

You should buy it if you like Ash, not just for the perks. :)

ash mechanic need a reworks..his character and all his perks..he could be a sorta of lure characters with some specific perks allow him to survive

  • Member Posts: 3,351

Ash is pretty cool, and flip flop can be a pretty fun perk. Especially if you want that wiggle achievement 😄

Up to you though, he doesn't have any crazy strong perks but he's a neat character and all.

tbh no, I bought him because I was a fan, but his perks and his skin are meh - most people just buy the DLC to have "all the perks" but many realize its a bit much after awhile and the perks are not needed at all rly.

Well there's a huge difference in that killers are all different. Without perks, survivors are literally cosmetics. There's also nothing wrong with buying anything because you like perks. For a survivor only DLC the perks are the meat of the content

On topic, unless you love Ash don't buy him. His perks aren't worth it and can be found in the shrine eventually anyway.

if you love ask and the evil dead like I do then yes.

If you arent an Evil Dead fan i wouldnt recommend buying it, i like new MoM bit its hit detection Is just too crappy

I would buy it if you like the character, personally, I have saved the characters I like for last, so I can get everyone else's perks for said character. But Ash's flip flop, and mettle of man perks are very underated, and can save your ass. So in short, all of the dlc's are worth it. Except for Laurie and Quinton, they look ugly as #########, are loud as all hell, and have pretty bad perks. Just buy the killers alone.

I would buy Legion before Ash for perks. Unless you are a fan of Ash Williams the chapter is worthless.

It depends on the person I suppose... How big of an Evil Dead fan are you? Personally I would have paid up to $10 play as the legendary Ash Williams, but that's just me. I've had a "Bruce Campbell vs The Army of Darkness" poster on my wall for since the 90's so to me Ash is a steal at $5. (An "Evil Dead Chapter" would have been better though... A "cabin in the woods" map, maybe an "Evil Ash" Killer or Hillbilly Skin lol)

As far as Perks go though, I'd say it's worth it just for Flip-Flop. Combine it with Perks like Unbreakable, Slippery Meat, etc for Survivor capable of really making a comeback when the chips are down... And without the help of teammates.

Not to mention you can always get the Legion for free using shards. It's all depends on your individual tastes I suppose.

I wouldn’t recommend it, his perks aren’t that good. They need to buff Flip Flop & MoM.

If you enjoy Ash vs Evil Dead I recommend it. If you don't then don't even look at it, his perks are not very good. The only I would run is Flip Flop but even then it's not a very strong perk.

Because i think, most of the time, if you get slugged, any other survivor will pick you up. So getting to 99% faster, picking yourself up or crawling to survivor faster is way more... tactical?

Personally I think it boils down to "Do you like the IP?". Cause I got it specifically because I'm an old Evil Dead fan. Seen every movie and most of the series (can't watch the rest legally as of yet, due to it being shown on a network I don't have anymore). The difference between Ash and Bill is that Bill's ridiculous "BUY ME, BUY ME" perk got redesigned, but wasn't butchered. MoM is almost unusable because of how buggy "protection" events can be. Still, I'd rather a perk be unusable than game breaking. Hopefully they'll look back on it again and change it to something useful though

He is? I thought I bought him? I might be thinking of Bubba

Not always an option. What about endgame and being left behind /or/when other survivors are dead? Also it fills the same kind of spot as self care in a figuritive way, allowing yourself to rely on yourself rather then finding other people. Self care however is I'd say in an equal spot to it actually as both are about as efficient in a match and there are obviously better alternatives despite them having there good uses.

If you own the base game, you don't need any DLC.

Nurse and Billy come with base, the top killers.

The most common perks players use are also with base game, plus you can just unlock them on the shrine of secrets anyway.

Unbreakable. With Flip-Flop there are too many "what if" scenarios.

What if the killer loses you? What if get it maxed out but there is a hook nearby. What if the killer has agitation/iron grasp?

    Flip-Flop is meh.

    Buckle Up is terrible.

Man of Mettle was brokenly OP before it's justified nerf. Now it's just unrewarding and inconsistent.

And the only thing that separates Ash from the other survivors is his unique voice lines in the lobbies.

Basically, if you're a fan get the dlc.

  • Member Posts: 1,922

Killers losing you is inconsistent and plenty of slug builds at high ranks run deerstalker for this reason, and while you can run into someone running agitation or iron grasp (or even both) the amount of wiggle you've taken off with a maxed out flip flop is more then the distance gained by either of them individually i believe. its the same kind of risk you have to think about however when you leave a survivor on the ground like do they have tenacity/flip flop/unbreakable? they could just get up again.

I admit its not an A/S tier perk like adrenaline, but it certainly has its uses and i have been saved quite a bit by flip flop, expecially due to the fact that no one expects it, kind of like the pepple.

That is rude and your a meanie, your just a rather mean guy :(

in all seriousness yes unbreakable is the better perk, but that doesn't mean its trash, its a solid perk in its own right.

  • Member Posts: 7,383

Mhm. I just personally like using Unbreakable>Flip Flop.

  • Member Posts: 5,735

For Ash (if you rly like him)?

    Sure, why not.

    For ONLY his perks?

    Nope.

Mettle of man WAS good. Not any more. The only reason I'd ever buy the DLC is for the funny voice lines (and the hand puppet, let's not forget the hand puppet.)

  • Member Posts: 857

Flip flop can still get its uses in certain builds and playstyles. Mom is just a waiting game right now. Until they figure out how to balance it properly.

  • Member Posts: 1,742

    Nope

  • Member Posts: 392

i bought the dlc because of flip flop and because it was on sale, but the others two perks are crap

    No.

I thought a Sporit skin would've been nice because she's pretty much already a deadite.
