Did I deserve this?!
Just played a game which it was Michael Myers and the Game. There was one gen left and this killer tunneled a Meg and Nea to death, and I was helping with heals and saves. Then Tapp was hooked and I was planning to save him when I was found by Barbecue and caught. On the hook, the killer just kept on hitting me like I was on the level of a toxic playing, nodding and everything. Post game chat, I asked what I did and he said that I "wasted 7 pallets" and "killed the team" and "the game was your fault." I was treated like this even though I was playing respectfully and got 18K points? I was playing healer Claudette too, and I only used 2 pallets to stun him and used his stun to try juking with walls(which worked both times). Do killers punish survivors like this in higher ranks? I don't remember this in higher green ranks.

He sounds like a punk. I wouldn't take it personally.

There will always be people who will try to get a negative reaction from you regardless of what the developers do to prevent such behavior. However, if I was you, just leave and move on to the next game. Or... when I get aggravated, I just take a long break because Dead by Daylight can be a very frustrating game.

85% of the time, killers and survivors are very chill, though my last two games today was that Michael Myers game and a silent Wraith game that tunneled all 4 of us to death, and a Kate said "It was ur fault" even though she was the last one alive (I don't blame her, I do agree it was my fault that I didn't know where was the Wraith while I was running but that was it). Spicy games.

The answer to the question of, "Did I deserve this?" is usually no.
6 -
I feel sorry for the Nea and Meg that were tunneled, but everyone was doing great with saves and generators, and it just stabs me that 2 games I had people say the game was lost to my own fault. I do suck at this game, that's why I ask people to be patient with me, I am doing my best :(
0 -
Meh, I suck at Survivor too. It probably wasn't your fault. People get mad when they lose. I do too. You've just got to shake it off, remind yourself it's only a game, and move on.
2 -
First off you said he tunneled and "YOU" cost the team the game? What were you suppose to do. Nodding and hitting you is his version of teabagging at the gates don't let it get to you. He needed an excuse for his behavior.
4 -
No, you're a cutie.

Why care what someone online says after the game? It's not a friend of yours, it's an "enemy". Dint ever take pvp opponents to heart.
How is this new to people!?
If they keep hitting you, just remind them that THEY dont get points for staring at you and swinging. But you get points for struggling. Wasting their own time.
1 -
Also decreases points for proximity >:)
Meg and Nea were tunneled despite me using We'll make It and Tapp Borrowed Time.
0 -
No, just ignore him or her.
1 -
Probably best idea, I am easily bothered by stuff like this. He/she was talking in all caps too, so it was like screaming at me :/
0 -
"I was playing Healer Claudette ..."
That's your answer.
0 -
I wasn't a P3 Claudette demon with flashlights, DS, Urban evasion, and keys
>:(
0 -
Still though.
Claudette triggers some Killers. Not your fault but she does. Laurie too.
0 -
Well, killer didn't mention anything about Claudettes. And I do also get enraged by Claudettes, but only when they are full team ones.
0 -
Why though? I think Claudette looks funny and adorable especially when she looks up 😁
1 -
I usually hit hooked survivors just to assert dominance
1 -
I only do it to those who t-bag me at pallets or cocky enough to heal and walk in front of me as killer XD

Yesterday a survivor called me a loser and called my mother ugly just because I used Make Your Choice with hag. My point is that certain people will find some way to be a shithead. Don’t worry though, that usually means they’re sad humans or idiots.
1 -
That's such a silly "reason" that unless they're the kind of person that sandbags fellow survivors they see breaking a single dull totem or something they're probably just fishing for salt.
So not worth the energy required to think about them if you ask me.
1 -
I hit survivors on the hook when they have been naughty.
2 -
He had just a bad day.
If I play one day again, I will carry you to the gates, since you are ok. fingers crossed :).
1 -
Why do you care about something that some random nobody thinks and says about you?
Just ignore and move on.

Yesterday I played versus a super sweaty try-hard Myers. He had unlimited p3 and mori (???). He was no good at finding people and I like to play stealthy, hence, I ran away from him a couple of times and managed to find his hex totem ruin. He mori'd all three of the other guys and hooked me right next to where the totem was. He hit the air over the broken totem and moved his head/body saying "nono" and hit me on the hook. He repeated this like 3 or 4 times. Like saying "you don't break my totem". My bf and I were laughing hard because it was funny as hell, but a lot of people won't take it like that.

I find it bewildering that a killer gets upset because he/she thought you were a bad teammate. A fellow survivor giving you grief I would understand.
1 -
If the killer said that it is probably true. Did you deserve it? Maybe not, but maybe he didnt want to be toxic, just saying facts.
0 -
I didn't think I was a bad teammate. What I mainly did in that game was-
-finish 2 gens by myself and one gen with the Tapp
-(probably sounds bad, but I was trying this) camped 2 pallets and stunned him, and tried to juke with his line of sight, which worked (since I can barely loop without a mouse)
-Save the Meg, Tapp, and Nea with We'll Make It, healed fully Nea and Tapp, (Tapp saved Nea again with borrowed time), and showed them to run when Spine Chill activated
-died due to Barbecue when I was trying to save Tapp at the end, then the salt was thrown while I was on hook
Maybe I did deserve this. :( But I didn't waste 7 pallets or caused the direct deaths of anyone from my perspective.
I find it strange as well, I would only be upset to a survivor for being a bad teammate if I was hooking survivors and they left them to die in order to survive on their own.

What you think might be different from what reality is, but I wasnt in the game so I cant say whos right.
anyway my suggestion is to think what you might have done wrong instead of what you did well. Maybe there is space for improvement.
anyway from your tale the killer didnt seem offensive or toxic. Maybe trollish or like “tbagging” you.
0 -
He is lying. I had killers call me antimate because I escaped without trying to save a person they were camping. Why in the world would killer give a damn about your contribution to the team. If he cared he would let everyone go and sacrifice only you.
Don't let it get to you he is trying to make you feel bad because you probably evaded him for a while and he was pissed at you.

No one "deserves" to be treated poorly. Dont start getting into that mindset. No more than treating a killer like garbage is "deserved" on their end. Toxicity is a biproduct of this game, not a reflection of how you should behave. Instead its a grimy mirror of how people often behave regardless of "rules" and "civility" ... Ignore the words and keep playing how you want to play. Unless you, like many others, killer or survivor, are just looking for a echoing hall by which you feel like you are not alone. This place is great for that, it is a community after all. Welcome to DBD.

Who knows? I know I suck at the game, but I still play it if I can make sure people can have a fun game, and it is a good game. I suck at running the most, and I always make sure there is no farming(only screwed up twice the past week) I just didn't like how he used all caps and blaming me. It just doesn't make sense to keep on hitting me on hook and nodding like I was toxic to him or anyone. I hate being treated equally like the trash toxic players are.
I think it was a bit toxic, because for something to be toxic, it has to be unnecessary, meant for your pleasure, and to make one feel bad for her or himself. I don't think I was a bad teammate, I just wasn't a good runner, or maybe I should have distracted the killer from tunneling the Meg and Nea, but I could not rely on my chase abilities.

Sadly, there is enough basis that "toxicity" is now a reality and stereotype, and even proven that there is a definite by top content creators like No0b3, Monto, Trut3lent, Puppers, Ohtofu, and Hybrid Panda. Toxicity is just going out of your way to hurt someone, which makes me confused whenever someone says it is "toxic" to loop a killer for 3 minutes or flashlight blind them to save a survivor.

because my friend, life is a meme at this point.

Essentially XD

It's pathetic that people put that much negative energy into a game and making somebody else feel like 💩. I'm glad consoles don't have post game chat.
1 -
You tried to survive, GG scumbag
1 -
The endgame chat can also be positive/friendly. But it is as always the same if you running into a new group of people:
With X of them you can talk, maybe even joke, but one or 2... Well... Someone need always to play the ahole role. Still, I have good memories on the endgame chat.
1 -
Thanks. Yes, I am the most toxic survivor! I heal survivors with We'll Make It in... under 10 seconds!!! *dun dun dun!!!*
Post chat is usually chill, I feel sad when killer immediately leaves due to the effect bad post chats have given, but when people get spicy, I usually defend whoever is most right. Only time I was spicy was when this David hid in a locker and only touched one gen and left all of us to die in hooks, and Ghostface spared him and farmed with him. Not fair that the person who did nothing got to survive >:(

I remember me on a endgame chat, were a survivor starts to insult me because I had play Legion and that he still has survive against me op class playing newb^^.
The 3 others said then that I had let them win and then he was surprisingly silent :).
It was also really so.
Friendly endgame chats take a bit the pressure out of the game. Helpfull after a stressing match.
1 -
Nah, don't worry too much about it. He's probably just the easily triggered sort. Some people have a vendetta against certain survivors, too, though I think that's typically as a joke (and out of boredom). He was probably just tilted 'cause you wasted a lot of his time by juking him with the pallets.
1 -
Ignore it and move onto your next game.
Don't dwell on one players behaviour.
The fact that you got upset about it is exactly what they want, a reaction.
1 -
Btw what do those famous streamer say about toxicity. Ive stumbled upon sone of their vids but couldnt find anything
0 -
I was just mentioning that they do recognize it exists, henceforth No0b3's "Toxic Series", Monto's "Playing as _ but I am super toxic!", Trut3lent's "Toxic SWF fail!" and more.
0 -
Sadly the killers can be whatever toxic you want but the survivors are the only ones that can get bullied and complained about
0 -
Killers can be bullied as well. Look at post game chats and play as an M1 killer against coordinated SWF teams :)
2 -
Yeah but I mean, the survivors are always the toxics and the ones who can't have fun in the game, not the killer, why? Nobody knows
0 -
Well, now that everyone is sharing they experience with toxic post chats then I will do the same.
I don't remember the map. I was trying to get the adept plague achievement. Dwight was fixing a generator (purple flashlight equiped), he saw me and ran into one of the corners of the map (nowhere to hide), He tried to blind me so I hit him with the vomit so he could not blind me, tried to blind me again, vomit again, and a third time. In the end he ends broken, I hit with the basic attack and hook him (I don't remember if he commit suicide in the game or nobody came to his rescue). In the post chat he wrote me that she hopes my mom wil death by illness. I am sure that boy in real life have no more than 13 years for the quality of his insult.
1 -
Why is it usually no?
0 -
? Both sides have been the toxic and the victim. Survivors can be toxic, killers can be toxic.
