Hold Survivors to a higher standard

Part of the reason I play killer is because I don't have to rely on anyone, idk if this game has just made things easier so they don't use critical thinking now, but when this game first started Survivors were smarter and more skillful, why is it as soon as I try to play Survivor again I have the only other person leave me on my first and ONLY hook just to camp the exit gates.....

I can't do it.

And then on top of that, got some camping killers. There needs to be something that nullifies that, camping is a strategy yes but there's no reason to camp a basement with one other person alive. My premonition was going off like a doorbell constantly....

    That's Solo Queue Life

That's why I'll play Nurse, because I can do whatever I want. Typically, when I see a survivor taking one for the team, I'll let them live while the others die.

The one and only time I'm downed in the match this potato just sits by the exit gates and waits for me to die....

Believe me, I feel your pain, namely, I had a survivor work on a generator directly beside of me when I was about to enter struggle. Luckily, despite my hook meter being at 50%, I didn't enter struggle because he finally realized there was someone hooked beside of him. ๐Ÿ˜‚

But hey, I'm not judging, I make beginner mistakes as well. :)

That's actually the correct thing to do, if you don't want to rescue your buddy TOO soon (e.g. if you suspect the killer is still nearby). I've done exactly this just recently... maybe it was you eh?

This is why I usually play in at least a duo with someone I can trust it's not fun to die due to a sucky team especially when some of those times involve nobody coming for you and letting you die on first hook.

Oh, I see where you're coming from, but it's not like the situation you're prescribing me. Whenever a survivor is hooked, I will work on a generator until they are almost to their next hook state.

However, it was more risky because it came down to literal seconds to losing 2 hook states in a single hook. However, I'm not blaming the guy, I remembered when I incorrectly saved someone, and it went really bad. :(

Playing solo is so miserable, let me tell you. You also wanna avoid going in with any SWFs because chances are one is a high ranker, or around your rank, while the other two are likely gonna be rank 16-20. Those games are the absolute worst.

@NMCKE Isnโ€™t it better if you get that extra manpower back as soon as possible? If itโ€™s a safe situation I want to get that person back on a gen asap. Unless the gen Iโ€™m working on is nearly finished.

So you got hooked at the end and there was only one person left to save you? Did the killer have NOED? Was the killer camping? Were you far away? I don't always expect survivors to try and save me at the end. It annoys me much more when a survivor tries to save me and dies. I'll usually message them afterwards "I appreciate you trying to save me but if the killer is camping at the end just leave. Don't reward them for camping by getting yourself killed."

But It depends. If I feel they had a very good chance of saving me at the end I'll be a little annoyed if they just leave. But if the killer has NOED and time is running out or leatherface is in my face with his chainsaw and there's only one other survivor left then I can understand them leaving even if it was my first and only hook.
