BBQ and Chili.
The amount of survivors that don’t hide in lockers as soon as it’s obvious the killer’s running BBQ and Chili is insane. Majority of my games (especially with Hillbilly) end within 3 minutes because the survivors don’t bother hiding and hatch doesn’t spawn since gens were untouched. It isn’t always the case but lately it’s become a mood-killer to play as survivor.

Instead of hiding i usually rather fake the direction where i'm going to.

"hatch doesn’t spawn since gens were untouched"
Am I missing something here?

The hatch always spawns, my dude.

It makes you think how it was ever possible for people to avoid being caught with BBQ before the locker aura reading change was implemented.
There are other ways to evade BBQ it just sounds like you are versing survivors who can't juke well.

Sorry, wrong choice of words there, I meant that the hatch spawns but stays invisible.

There sure is time and place to hide or fake your aura from BBQ. But if you are in safe position you should always encourage killer to come to you so your team mates can make a save.
Worst I have witnessed is that killer sees no auras after first hooking and camps first to death as they had no reason to leave the hooked area.

True. Then again, I think it also comes down to bad matchmaking as well; I’m a rank 6 and the rest are usually rank 15-17.

That seems to be more the issue. You are being matched with players you are much better than.
BBQ has always been easy to work around for good players and for those that live for the chase it's can be used as a way to bait the killer in.
