@Kikki If you have the Halloween DLC pack, or just Michael Myers, the perk "Play With Your Food" can help.
Sure it needs some other perks to really do well, but a flat five, ten, or fifteen percent faster movement speed will make quick work of "Infinites".
@Kikki You chose my response as the definitive answer, you flatter me. Anyway, to make full use of Play With Your Food you should bring either a power or perk that grants insta downs or "double damage". This is because each "aggressive action" spends a token. So if you can make survivors go down in one hit you'll keep the boost longer than if you have to spend 2 tokens on 1 person. (You might also want a perk that will help you keep tabs on your obsession, but I'll leave that to you.)

If you realize you're at an infinite, find another survivor to chase. Do this each time you chase a survivor. This is the official dev stance on this issue.

Except the farm map with the gen in the middle of the inf. Then they can be productive till it's done and at that point anyone can use that inf to effectively lock a killer down long enough for gens to be done.

Know what gens to give up. Stuff that spawns right in the middle of terrible loops like Ironworks of Misery or Wretched Shop or Torment Creek's barn are indefensible and a waste of time to defend if you're playing against survivors that know as much as you do.
If you see a survivor heading towards a safe area, just let them go. They want you to chase them there, and you never, ever want to be playing how the survivor wants you to play. Refuse to be their circus monkey, cut your losses, and chase somewhere else.
