Is the hag red rank viable?

i've seen people talking about how hillbilly, nurse and spirit are viable killers, but i feel like hag has potential if played correctly, she can create snowballs pretty easily if the survivors mess up. she can cut off people mid chases and has a pretty good map pressure, so is she red rank viable?

Edit: i'm asking this cuz i'm interested in playing her and mastering her

    Hag is definitely red rank viable. Just gotta get a proper set up because she's not a chasedown killer.

    @Clockso She can make loops non existent, she has extreme map pressure (like you said). I always try to trap into survivors running lanes, especially after a hook. Intuition plays a part and that’ll improve in time (like it did for me).

    The only reason she isn't in the discussion of top three is because of SWF and flashlights.

    Pick up a survivor? They run over traps they saw you put down so they are gone.

    Flashlight in game? Goodbye traps on hooks, choke points, generators. You'll still get your traps and you'll get hooks but now you gotta really work for it. As a 110% killer she's not a good chaser from one side of the map to the other, so once they nullify your power your going to be working for every hit as hard as a base m1 killer.

    She's viable but as with mostly every killer besides spirit and nurse, you gotta hope for one potato in the group to bang up on. Remove the weak link, the rest of the chain fails.

    @Clockso My build right now for her at Rank 1 is Corrupt Intervention, Monitor & Abuse, Save The Best For Last and Pop Goes The Weasel. Nurses, Sloppy Butcher and Make Your Choice are all good with her as well. I’m not a big fan of hex perks, but you could also run Ruin if you wanted to. Dark Devotion and Save The Best For Last is also something that COULD be nice l, but I haven’t tested it.

    tysm for these tips, although i have all these perks i don't have corrupt intervention yet, but i'l just level up plague. anyways one last question, what are the best add ons for her? reduced setting time, aura reveal, teleport distance, effective range or tipped trap duration?

    Every killer is rank 1 viable if you know how to play him, problem is some are much easier to learn.

    @JawsIsTheNextKiller

    Yes, she is. She's quite difficult however.

    @Clockso That’s one thing I forgot to mention. I think area of control is really big for hag. You don’t really want to go venture out too much on the entire map (especially larger ones i.e Temple of Purgation). With that said, the add ons for the hag aren’t actually mandatory IMO (though some are nice to have and help vs stronger teams). Distance is nice as is setting speed. Aura one is useless since you don’t want to chase as Hag anyways. I don’t like the Range. I personally don’t think it’s as effective if they’re further away from where they tripped it off, compared to her base. Duration can be nice at pallets to help with the vault mindgame (Whether The Survivors throws the pallet down one way or the other, giving you the choice to whether or not teleport). In all, combos of Distance, Setting Time and Duration are good.

    Yes and no. She can beat solos at red rank pretty handily. SWF can abuse her though. It's very easy to fall into the trap of hitting a lot of survivors but never actually downing any of them. Expect half of your traps to get popped the second you injure or pick up a survivor. Area control sounds great in theory, but nothing matters at red ranks if you don't get early hooks, and she can have trouble with that on big maps. I think she's solid, but a bit overrated. Then again, I'm definitely not a Hag expert, so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

    If cheat with friends didnt exist she would be top 4. Too bad she is most tactical killer and gets rekt by survivors that communicate.

    When I play with my buddy and we go vs Hag they often rage quit as if one of us gets chased the other will join into chase and keep popping the traps that Hag places in loops to deny them.

    If I want to play Hag I play her during work days within regular work hours so there are not so many groups playing.

    I think she has the most control over the match vs every other killer but can still lose from the m1 effect. She can keep placing and placing and they can keep running and running and because of that she is not 100% i think. If played very smart you can still get your cheeks clapped even if you are one step ahead. I think alot of survivors just dont know how to verse her properly or arent ever prepared to?
