Favourite addons for each killer you play?

Kiskashi Member Posts: 1,043

I really wonder if there’s any trend of what the favourites are to use on each killer, especially in a normal match (Also hoping it might give me some tips for future killers I want to play eventually). I’ll add the ones I use on killers I play enough to notice the addons/that I have a preference, some are higher rarity but I can promise you if I have them I will probably use them all 😂

Myers: Dead rabbit, J Myers memorial, memorial flowers (generally stalk speed)

Ghostface: Chewed pen, Olsen’s address book, drop leg knife sheath/leather sheath ( generally cooldown and crouch speed)

Clown: Thick cork stopper, solvent jug, ethers ( generally reload speed and effect duration)

Hag: dried cicada/dragonfly wings, rusty shackles, half eggshell, bloodied water (sometimes) (generally teleportation range and trap duration)

Spirit: muddy sports day cap, Kaiun talisman (generally movement speed and duration, my normal combo, helps with large map coverage)

What addons do you use for your killers and do you have any tips in general on why you choose those addons?

Spirit: Wakizashi Saya/Katana Tsuba. Turns you into a monster around pallets.

Plague: Black Incense/Severed Toe. Burn that Haddonfield offering. I dare you.

Also Plague: Vile Emetic/Ashen Apple. Get them broken and grab the corrupted fountain.

Also also Plague: Vile Emetic/Infected Emetic. You thought this wasn't an Instasaw Billy game....

Also also also Plague: Rubbing Oil/Incensed Ointment. QoL Vile Purge add ons on tile-heavy maps with bad angles.

    I uh...play a lot of Plague lately.

    The "Windstorm" series.

I use these mainly, they're great to make Wraith be more present, plus when you have 2 Windstorms on, which is 10% faster than just "Windstorm" - Blood btw, it can be worth it to recloak to catch up, though it depends on your surroundings.

    The "Swift Hunt" series.

VERY generic kind of Add-on, but that doesn't mean it's bad. This is just good. Not bad, not great, just good. Can't ever go wrong with landing a hit sooner.

    The "All Seeing" series.

"All Seeing" - Blood is nice to find those immersed Survivors who hide well somewhere around the Generator they're repairing.

"All Seeing" - Spirit is great to know for which Generator you should actually go and pairs really well with a "Windstorm", though i really believe its flaw is being an Ultra Rare, i think it should be a Very Rare at most.

    The "Shadow Dance" series.

Mostly for meme builds but BOI can this build meme. Slap on Brutal Strength, Enduring, Fire Up & Spirit Fury and you'll BURN through everything!

    Coxcombed Clapper.

You can actually get grabs without needing "The Ghost" - Soot, though it's obviously harder to do once they know you're Wraith: Once they, all of a sudden, hear your Terror Radius all loud 'n' #########, you bet they'll immediately let go of the Generator. Still, even if you can end just 2 chases by grabbing immediately, it was worth it to equip it.

I forgot wraith, that hurts a little, it has been a while since I played him though so it’s fair, I used to love windstorm and swift hunt, occasionally shadow dance. Agree 100%

Not gonna lie, I love me some omegablink Nurse.

I also really enjoy tier 1 Myers on Lery's.

Trapper : Purple Bag plus Trap Fastening Tools (Purple)

This makes you able to actually use your power without massive time-waste, be able to slap traps down AS you're being looped, as well as decreasing your setup time, AND making it harder for survivors to escape traps. Quite nice.

    Wraith : Bone/Coxcomb clapper, "The Ghost"-soot

In-feckin-sane mindgame potential. Survivors can't use their ears to pin-point your direction, and can't see your red stain coming for them. Even during chases, you can maintain extremely high uptime on Ghost-soot, meaning you can catch a ton of survivors off-guard with your 0 TR and no Red Glow. It really helps to kick survivors off of strong loops with sheer mindgame power alone. It's also a yellow/brown combo, so you won't often run out of these addons.

Plague: Ashen Apple + Exorcism Amulet

Double Green is a bit hard to sustain bloodweb-wise, but I think this is an interesting build to run from time to time. Obviously, you're neutering your ability to infect survivors to Broken status without any Emetic addons.

This strategy tries to mitigate the Plague's glaring weakness that her power is entirely in the hands of the survivors. Bee-line to the corrupted fountain that the Apple spawns right as the round starts, then abuse the increased Purge duration from Amulet to gain a huge amount of early game momentumn. Bonus points if you're running Haunted Ground and the like, so you can secure 2 or 3 free hooks with your initial round of black puke. It's feast-or-famine, because if you don't down people with your first Corruption session and the survivors don't cleanse, you are playing without add-ons all game. Try it some time.

Doctor: Iridescent King and High Stimulus Electrode. I really like putting everyone in tier 3. I tried using the Moldy Electrode because of the better anti-loop potential, but I didn’t feel like I was slowing the game down very much. Maybe it’s because I started using it against high rank Survivors and I’ll like it more when I practice with it against lower ranked Survivors after rank reset. The multiple effects that Iridescent King gives me means that I don’t have to really worry about missing out on anything too important. It’s also hilarious when Survivors try to hide and I see the red stain on them. It’s basically a free hit for me!

Spirit: Wakizashi Saya+Katana Tsuba and Yakuyoke Amulet+Prayer Beads Bracelet. The speed boost from the first combo is insane. I love just zooming towards a Survivor and smacking them. Yoinking Survivors off of gens, vaults, and totems also feels really satisfying.

Freddy: Red Paint Brush/Pill Bottle+Dream Pallet add-on. I love making a Survivor think that they’re safe only for them to realize that they aren’t after the pallet explodes in their face. The Red Paint Brush can be decent at slowing the game down because it forces Survivors to find a teammate or run to their clock. The Pill Bottle can catch Survivors off guard because they might not see me until I’m really close.

Hillbilly: Instasaw. You think you can dodge this? Well guess what? I’m already sprinting at you and have probably buried my chainsaw in your back by now.

    My top three:

Legion: Fuming Mixtape and Etched Ruler. It allows me to check the progress of all gens to prioritize which to go to. Not as good as All Seeing Rune for Wraith, but still a decent addon on certain maps (and allows me to ditch locating perks for something more powerful). The ruler helps get your power back.

Spirit: Bamboo Flute and any speed addon. It's just to get the power back. Usually I just use the power to move quickly, but if I'm approaching a gen, then I'll save it for a chase.

Huntress: Purple Ax head and Leather belt loop. One extra hatchet and mangled for hatchets an be very useful. Mangled from hatchets is almost as good as Sloppy Butcher, and having one extra hatchet can make for some "easy" mindgames. Especially if you pretend that you have no hatchets.

Freddy: Black Box/Swing Chains, Dress/Drawing (the first is for my favorite sadist build on ma boi and the second is for an impossible skill check build)

Pig: Amanda's Letter/Combat Straps, Crate of Gears/Bag of Gears, Face Mask/Video Tape (first build is the all seeing specifically for Lery's, 2nd is for a potential head pop, and 3rd is for a nice Thana slugging build)

Ghostface: His add-ons are very simple and he's close to not being viable without a power recovery add-on so your first add-on is already chosen by default and his 2nd add-on can literally be anything since they are so simple with no variation on how to play him. A real shame to be honest since Michael is similar but has add-ons for wall hacks and literally instantly killing someone.

    Ghost Boi:

I generally play with Telephoto Lens and Olsens Adress Book since they help with the 2 things ghostface needs the most (recovery and stalk rate)

I dont use detection range add-ons because i find them boring and a bit broken being honest

I tried an slug build with outdoor security camera one time without much success, but it looks like a fun add-on

    Huntress:

Wind up time is what i use most of the time combined with something that causes exhaustion or hindered

Glowing concoction is underrated, specially when hitting survivors on loops.

Iridescent head is broken and i dont use it unless i am really, really mad.

    Wraith:

Shadow Dance and The Serpent Soot is one of the most fun and underrated combos in the game, its basically a free hit against survivors who throw pallets early

All seeing is also extremely fun, it makes gen patrolling so easy.

Those ghost ones are interesting to me, to be honest I haven’t played with philly (don’t see the point with fast cooldown anyway) or the lenses, purely because I’m addicted to leaning, protects me from reveal and I can stalk at the speed of sound. I don’t think I’d feel comfortable using an addon that requires me to stalk in the open even with my decreased cooldown...I’ve probably fallen too deep into the leaning playstyle to revert to open stalks.😔 interesting to see how many people play differently with him though. I’ve seen a few play that way (open stalks at loops etc) as survivor.

Crouch speed is my new favourite (second to cooldown of course), drop leg knife sheath is incredible imo, I spend a lot of the match in shroud, crouching from location to location behind debris and it’s amazing speed difference to base, leather sheath is still good but just a little less noticeable. I find detection ones aren’t reliable in their effect so I tend not to bother either.

To be fair, we Pig players DO have the worst add-on in the game in the form of "Amanda's Secret."
