Killer mains--what should the average game be?
I am curious to see killer main opinions. Let's say you got to rebalance the game as you saw fit and matchmaking was excellent at matching evenly skilled killers to survivors.
How many kills should the average game be? 1, 2, 3, or 4?

not a killer main but been playing a bit of it lately, i think an average game should be 2 kills, however youll see either 3/4k or 4 escapes more often

i dont care about the kills, i want the round to be fun for me.
i want them to be scared of me finding them. i want to be the power role.
i dont wanna be seen as the joke of the trial, running endless circles around pallets / windows, being flashlight blinded all the time, teabagged, made fun of. even though its rewarding af when you completely destroy such a group, cause they were waaay too cocky and thought they could get away with anything...
average kills?
id say 2, maybe 3.
average kills against such a group i just mentioned?
4! i want them ALL dead! i wanna teach them fear... and hear their salt in the end chat LUL

Your answer says killers mains are vindictive players looking for a power trip.

The average? Either you get a 4k, a 3k with the last guy getting the hatch, or full on 4 man escape because of SWF.

See, I define what an average game should be a bit differently.
You guys are too fixated on number of kills: This is a flawed logic as you can get 4 hooks in the entire game which results in a 4k or 3k from three hooks. When in reality there are 12 hook states in total 3 per survivor.
I prefer games where I can get 6 hooks before EGC: These games are generally the ones if I had camped/tunneled It would be detrimental to the game. The average game should encourage leaving the hook. Resulting in more pressure as the game currently stands the buffs and setups encourage tunneling one out and then bouncing around the rest. This is unfun for that particular person every match and is not good design. The game should be designed around completely leaving the hooks that much more rewarding rather than having smores with them.
However with my logic there are 4 kills per game half of that balance point is 2 kills. So mine being based off hooks a 4k is 12 hooks a balanced fair game is 6 hooks. With mistakes and other mind-game potential type things it can sway either way. However, I think we can all agree 6 hooks is better than 2k.

At least at red ranks, if you get a 2K, you de pip. I'd say balance around getting 6-8 hooks a match.

Killer main here. In my experience of playing the game since the console release in 2017 (2 years), I would say 2 kills per game is average, sometimes 3. But if you're really lucky, you'll get 4 from time to time, it just REALLY depends on the type of survivor players you're dealing with, I have found in my time playing. If they're the types who loop you to no end, and go for every single pallet, and manage to repair 2 generators within 2 minutes of the game starting...you're going to have a hard time. But if not, then you can have a pretty good game. No matter what the case may be though, as long as you have been playing killer long enough to get the basic gist of it down, and certainly get the hang of the particular killer you're playing as, you will almost always get at least 1 kill.

I don't have to 4k ... Ill be working for one but it isn't a necessity. However, I'm not one of those killers who just let people have the hatch or whatever because I have met a quota. Quite the opposite.
My personal average is 2-3k, but I have gotten 1k and still have achieved Brutal Killer, so I don't pitch a fit over that. I can go without kills as long as I don't get Entity Displeased. The only time I go into a seething rage is if I am deranking due to SWF shennanigans.

The Average game should be 2-4 kills, maybe one DS, one Adrenaline... One gen is done in about 30-40 seconds of the game starting... It should require great teamwork to get less than 2 kills on survivor.
My personal average is 3k-4k though, at high purple, low red ranks. Often getting Ruthless, although with Legion (my main) I'm not surprised if I get Merciless killer... although that's arbitrary (thanks gatekeeper emblem).

My average is 3k i like to leave it to chance who finds the hatch first

Why do you even give a ######### about ranks? At the end you get nothing and absolutely nothing be it rank 1 or 20

Why care about ranks? Because some of us don't feel the need to bully Rank 20 players until they uninstall to have fun with the game. Plus it is more of a challenge playing at high ranks. Also according to the roadmap we will be getting rank incentives.

So I should be letting people go, because ranks dont mean anything (for now) is your point? Sorry, I dont play that way, throwing matches is another form of cheating to me. And like I said before I DONT HAVE TO GET ANY KILLS TO MAINTAIN RANK. So if the survivors were able to get away and I still get BK I dont care.

Well, considering Killers are designed to be the power role I would say that escaping should feel like a massive achievement and the average game should be 1 or 2 Survivors escaping... if they're lucky.
But here at red ranks, where generators get done so fast that not getting a hook within the first 45 seconds of the match basically means you've already lost the game, it's definitely the Survivors who are the power role.

6-8 hooks with no tunnelling and very limited running in circles would be a good game.
Then I don't mind them escaping

I think it should be fair. Always. You shouldn't be screwed by a map/killer combination, survivors bringing 3-4 instaheals plus Adrenaline/BT/DS/Unbreakable, an Ebony Mori, etc. There's just so much ridiculous crap in this game. The maps are designed with the absolute lowest common denominator survivor in mind. I don't think kill count should be the indicator of balance. It should be which side outplays the other, not which side picked the correct things before the game or which side the map rng favored.

Not a killer main or survivor main
The average amount of kills overall should be 2, but it should completely depend on each side's skill, if the killer is more skilled they should be able to get a 4k
When it comes down to game duration it should be around 10/15 minutes
The gen-rush meta needs to be addressed to fix this

Isnt the point of being a KILLER to be vindicative and go on a power trip, its suppose to feel like the big build up murder sequence right at the end of the flick and the nerd gives his life so the vixen can escape, instead its 9 minutes of yackety sax and getting teabagged by 4 survivors unless you tunnel.
Add a mechanic to all killers to cause insta downs or no attack cd when exits are open, why are they savoring the hit when they are losing?
Give survivors a stamina meter that requires skill checks to continue running after its depleted.
Give survivors the ability to deny being saved off a hook.
Average game should be winnable for the killer, killer skill should indicate more kills. Unless its nurse, every killer is easy sleazy to get away from while stopping to taunt

Not a killer main but I play both equally.
Average should be 2 kills when both sides gave their all. Getting a 2k against people who are messing around doesn't mean anything.

I feel the average should be 2 kills and 2 escapes.
but I'm generally a friendly killer so... I might be biased.

I like playing with people from higher ranks so that I don’t steamroll them.

I have always maintained that the game should be balanced around 4k
