Pgtw, sf+ed, are these three perks really as good as everyone makes them to be?

What are your thoughts? I tried sf+ed combo on Myers and it was worse than running bamboozle. Never tried pgtw since I don't have it yet.

Are these perks really that good?

Bamboozle is better than SF imo and PGTW>ruin

Not really a fan of Pop Goes the Weasel on its own, since it requires you to begin your momentum with it, whereas Overcharge and Ruin are not restricted by a condition. Really, it seems like a perk relegated to the excessively high mobility killers, since they don't need the extra time at the start to get their pressure going. (This is more a game design flaw than a problem with the perk.)

I run Spirit Fury + Enduring on Pig and Plague, and would on Trapper and Legion if I had it. It's too damn strong to just ignore every pallet, force pallets to go down sooner, and not suffer any real punishment for lunging through all of them. On top of this, you eventually get a hit because of the perks working together if they risk or are forced to stun you with a pallet. It's exploitable with Hillbilly, since he doesn't actually get stunned if he saws into a pallet as it's dropped on him.

With Spirit Fury + Enduring, I just run Bamboozle as my third to shut down loops. They say you should just throw pallets early, but you don't know if a killer as Spirit Fury off of the bat, and your early pallet throws just guarantee SF is up sooner, so someone else gets screwed; the only counter play to that perk combo punishes survivors more, since throwing pallets early is terrible for them.

    Basically:

    PGTW if you're good.

Ruin if you don't know what gen pressure is.

    SF+End if you're a tryhard noob.

    Bamboozle if you're a pro.

LMFAO at the elitist attitude of this response... each perk can be used in different ways depending on the persons individual playstyle...

Ruin can tie-in with gen pressure to help slow the game.

Spirit fury and Enduring can be used to punish the "designated distraction" quickly once you have your stacks and to help in chases in general.

(although I will say, spirit fury is almost pointless when you could just play freddy with his addon to use dream pallets.)

Pop Goes The Weasel is my go to perk when i think about replacing ruin. it really helps you during the trial, when you have a momentum going on.

Spirit Fury and Enduring are a great combination, yet i dont think sacrificing 2 of your 4 perks just to fight pallets is really that great. i can definitely see it having a good use on loopable killers like wraith, but strong killers like billy dont necessarily need it and would be better off without them.

honestly, there is one perk i prefer over any of those: Discordance.

hell, this perk is amazing! seriously, try it. take out ruin on your billy and replace it with discordance - you gotta get used to not having ruin, but you can have so much more map pressure thanks to it!

Gen pressure isn't a thing for a lot of killers against good survivors. "Oh no, the Clown is running him off that gen. The rest of us can't work on any others on the other side of the map."

This time, i belong to the "everyone" group and say yes, they're really good.

    It varies though:

    What Killer are you using?

    What Add-ons are you using?

What other Perk(s) are you using?

    What are the Survivors using?

PGTW is very good. It has single-handedly won me games when Ruin gets taken out right away. Obviously it comes with the catch that you need to get hooks, but as long as you do and manage it's use properly you can really shut down gen progress.

SF/Enduring is really good too but it depends on the killer. I like it on Trapper because it means I can just forehead my way through every pallet, but then as Spirit or GF I don't feel like I need it as much. On Billy it's almost broken though.

The thing is that it depends on the skill of the survivors you go against. Versus bad survivors, these perks won't do much because you won't need to kick gens or eat pallets to make up the time. Versus good survivors though they make a huge difference.

I messed up. Got some clothes for spirit recently and now I can't get a Clown for pgtw. Wish it appears in the shrine before I get 9k. :(

    I want to try it.
