I don't understand this community at all..

Not everyone but man i play this game to have some fun, Sometimes i have a blast but about 65% off the time you get people crying about "Camping" them... It makes me no sense AT ALL, They pick the most stressful build for the killer so the killer has a hardtime killing them and at the end off the game you get so much hate and they are SOO toxic and you look at there build and Youre like "Ermm look at your build BRO..

They don't like being killed, It 0 sense, its about making mistakes, Everyone does it, I'm not here to HATE, Hate is a strong word but why BE TOXIC when i camp you because you tea bag me when you drop a pallet down and pick the MOST toxic builds in the game and when i CAMP you cry and start going on a rant after the game.

There abusing the MOST OP loops in the game and once I catch them and camp them they don't like it, After a hour you will forget about the game so WHY?

killers and survivors are toxic alike. the only difference is that these people are messaging you to take their toxicity out of the game... block/ignore and move on. report them if its applicable and go to the next round.

dont stress it, being camped sucks hardcore, so does getting looped and teabagged constantly, but at the end of the day... its just a game.

I'm a console player and learned it's best to turn off messages and just play the game however you want. I try not camp, because I like to learn how to play out different strategies, but if I'm stuck playing with a SWF team that likes to rush gens and keep me on my feet, I'll proximity camp, because they're all cocky and will 100% of the time focus on being altruistic. This usually helps me get at least a 2 or 3k match. But either way, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't, so ignore them and just enjoy the game.

Its the circle of DBD, one side makes the match unpleasant for the other side so that their side is having fun and vice Versa.

It doesnt matter what anyone says, play for your own fun regardless of what you do

I dislike looping from both sides. Just running laps of a single object doesn't feel skillful to me in any sense. That said I wouldn't call it "abusive." The only "abusive" looping I see is Balanced Landing, where you can break maps by causing certain loops to become infinite.

As for the thread, yeah, if you stack up a bunch of perks for free extra hits, then get annoyed at a killer because they don't want to deal with all those extra hits again (or you wasted so much time that they CAN'T get anything else from the match) then you're bringing a lot of it on yourself.

People can argue what defines toxicity as much as they like. They can get all political over what's justified or legitimate, but at the end it all comes down to you.

You KNOW what annoys or frustrates some players, and you know that if you're going to use those tactics then you're risking exactly the same coming back at you. And hell, points or rank aside, sometimes just pissing off someone who pissed you off is a satisfying match.

I've noticed that survivors are the most toxic people in this relationship

DISCLAIMER: Not saying every survivor is toxic or that there aren't toxic killers, just saying that from personal experience I've gotten more hate from survivors than killers, and I play both pretty equally.

Problem is aa survivor you cant counter the killer. Eventually he will catch you.

If a killer tunnels 1 surv even if ghe others genrush and escape the 1 guy couldnt do ######### and thats not really funny

It goes both ways you know! I'm a solo survivor and have seen loads of toxic killers. More often than not I'm the random with a swf and always seem to get singled out and camped by the killer when I've not been toxic in the slightest. Yesterday I ran a Billy around the map for 5 gens because he refused to leave me alone - eventually was killed after gates were opened and the other 3 escaped. He would ignore everyone else in sight and literally go around looking for me until he found me. I wasn't even the first one he hooked! He hooked 2 other people within 30 secs - 1 min. Maybe he just hated my Jeff's smexy hair lol

Also had a purple rank Spirit camp me for no reason but didn't camp the other survivors. Just why...? It's not fun for the one person, especially if they are solo.

Also never teabagged a killer, I don't see the point as you're just wasting time...

Because survivors want you to follow their rules and don't understand that you're the killer, not a survivor.

I give a 'ggwp' after every game, win or lose, but i find most survivors won't say it and i wonder what happened to the good sportsmanship that players used to have.

Survivors will complain no matter what you do, so don't waste your time with them.

You will also find that most that complain are survivor mains, and have never touched killer beyond yellow rank.

They just don't understand that their main objective isn't to do gens, but survive.

You do realize that the longer the game lasts the less likely survivors are to...well survive right?

A lot of people forget the person they're playing against is probably 14. I know I do.

You know the last person to die joins the end game lobby at the same time the killer does right?

So whats stopping that player from saying 'gg'? If i give hatch, then and only then, it's a 'gg'.

Well I for one play on PS4 but I still give out GG's if it's a good match. Not sure about pc

Only kids whine about camping and the non kids who do whine are trash a good or decent player will admit when they got caught it was likely they fault and I want you to camp me so my swf can fix gens and I use deliverance once you walk away

However, many mechanics and perks are in the Survivor's favor. Killer's may be able to kill you, but that doesn't make them the power role, as they should be.

Whining about loops and builds but quite happy to camp....you're a toxic killer well done.

What stood out here was you camped somebody who T-bagged you.

If you are that easily influenced by childish behavior, you may need to step away from the game for a bit.

I'm not excusing it by no means, no sir. But camping in retaliation is kinda petty.

Looping is part of the game, I suggest you learn to deal with it otherwise this game is going to be very very miserable for you.

As a Survivor i hate being camped and tunneled. But i never go out of my way to send hate their way. Also if I have an easy game i never brag.

As killer though I get so much crap from survivors. I play on console where there is no post game chat so it's a premeditated attack.

Was playing as Bubba rank 12. Got wrecked by an swf team. Finally downed someone as the last gen popped. Wasn't face camping but i didn't stray far from hook. Of course guy was rescued. All escaped. After game got a messege.

    'Too ex'

'you get more points not camping'

Explained to him that he was rank 6. That i only spot camp like that when i get my ass kicked.

    The reply was,

    'Excuses'

    'Bye loser'

It's just a game, but kinda pissed me off. Now I dont feel so bad if i tunnel someone or stay to close to the hook. They don't appreciate it when I try to play 'fair' so screw it.

I got told off for camping the other night as Leatherface.

Literally only found Jake when the last gen was about to pop, and was only playing Leatherface to sacrifice Jake for his face, so I just revved that chainsaw for 2 mins straight. But no, no excuses, trash killer for not letting him get unhooked with the gates open.

    - is unable to find survivors all game

    - doesn't pressure gens

    - downs one single survivor

    - facecamps 2 minutes straight

    - blames survivors for hiding

Would you say you played well?

What part of my comment said I didn't interact with the OTHER 3 survivors all match? I said I couldn't find JAKE.

  • Yamaoka
    Yamaoka Member Posts: 4,321

It did sound like you weren't able to find anyone except for Jake just before the last gen popped. Anyways it's still a cheap move to facecamp because of cosmetics especially when it's a face for a killer you clearly don't even play often based on the fact you had to facecamp to get him.

  • anarchy753
    anarchy753 Member Posts: 4,212

Nice of you to randomly decide that. Jakes are rare, I'm not giving one up just to be nice. And thanks, glad to know I'm not allowed to play other killers or collect the unlockable cosmetics for them unless I ONLY play them.

In the past few weeks I've played almost nothing but Leatherface while I P3 him and collect faces. I've had countless 4ks without any sort of camping.

He's still a really low tier killer, and Jakes are still rare, so I have no obligation to escort one to the gate because of the survivor rule book when they spend all game hiding.

If 3, or 2 survivors are constantly hook diving camping is a great way to break up their rhythm. I also think it's perfectly acceptable to camp deserving toxic survivors.

Toxic People playing are usually very insecure about themselves. They need to be vindicated for their mistakes so they can continue lying to themselves about how great they are. When that false reality They've created for themselves is challenged by you they must desperately do everything possible to re-establish that false reality.

Most people don't complain about getting turned into open gate bait anymore because they know it's the only good option the killer has left. If I can't pull off a PIP before gates and I'm the one that gets caught at the end that's on me I shouldn't be salty that my potential double was denied. If I get a single I'm sure I did twice as good as a killer that didn't accomplish much all game and things worked out as they should.
