Recycle Killer Add-ons

Prologue

I was thinking about how survivors can recycle their items if they escape with them, so I want the killer to have this option as well since some killers are add-on reliant.

Requirements

The killer has 2 add-on slots, but the one on the left will be the one that gets recycled. To help newer players understand know which add-on slot is the recyclable one, it will have a red border and have a orange recycle symbol on it.

The following rarities have a certain percent chance to be recycled if you get a 2K or higher:

Common: 100% Recycle Rate

Uncommon: 100% Recycle Rate

Rare: 100% Recycle Rate

Very Rare: 75% Recycle Rate

Ultra Rare: 50% Recycle Rate

If you get less than a 2K, your selected add-on will not be recycled, and it will be lost instead. This is like the requirement for survivors to keep their items, namely, escaping.

Reasoning

"Why are some rarities not guaranteed to be recycled?"

I feel like this would encourage killers to use their most powerful add-ons in every Trial, which can be frustrating to deal with as survivor.

This is also why lower rarities are guaranteed to be recycled because they aren't as impactful compared to their higher rarity counterparts.

Epilogue

Hopefully this makes it to the game because some killers would heavily benefit from having a constant supply of lower rarity add-ons, assuming they get some sacrifices or kills.

You mean, that some killer addons may stay after match, if they done good? Sounds cool. This would be useful on Wraith, or Legion, when they have 3-5 viable addons, that are so rare to get.

But i have some improvement on your statement.

You always recycle common addons, even if you got no kills. Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare and Ultra Rare items will get recycled if you ll get:

    • 1 kill for Uncommon
    • 2 kills for Rare
    • 3 kills for Very Rare
    • 4 kills for U-rare

About common addons, they should be kinda free. Once you get them, they ll stay. The stuff i wrote above, means that if you done good, you ll get them back. Higher Rarity = higher risk of losing addons.

The problem with your idea is that it's easy to get a 4K with iridescent hatchets, 5-Blink Nurse add-ons, and so on. That means you're guaranteed to keep your OP add-ons since they allow you to get a 4K with ease - That shouldn't be the case.

If we had recycle you would only see Insta saw Billy, Prayer Bead Spirit, Iri Huntress, Omega / Multi -blink Nurses.

    No thanks.

That's not the case since those add-ons won't always get recycled as stated in my thread.

Very Rare Add-ons have a 75% chance to be recycled, and Ultra Rare Add-ons have a 50% chance to be recycled, assuming you get a 2K or higher.

Did you even read my discussion? :(

    Common should be 80%, Uncommon 60%, Rare 40%, Very rare 20% and Ultra-rare 0%.

And I think the requirement should be 3k at least.

    Just my opinion.

I'm stating that you dont even need recycle to sustain Rare addons. With Spirit you can even sustain purples as she yields so much BP and you keep getting cakes or Black Wards.

    I suggested this earlier: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/73591/black-chest-alter-shrine-killer-addons

This allows you to naturally earn ad-dons based on multiple basement hooks. This is an incentive to leave and use different perks like Iron Grasp / Agitation. It would work similar to the concept of the survivor chest. This does not eat more than 1-2 seconds of the killer's time to redeem.

However, you pile all of your bloodpoints on a single killer, which is okay, but not everyone plays the same killer. They spread their spendings on a variety of killers because that's just them.

I main Spirit, Nurse, Huntress, and Pig. I have to spread my spendings, which as a consequence, causes me to lack some add-ons.

Id prefer a recycle to bloodpoint personally.

Like its kind of the survivor's/killer's lair, that allows to trade all items / add ons that one dont want for bloodpoints.

Maybe a way to rework it is for both sides.

Since the strongest add-ons should be rare to see they always get lost after a match so IRI hatchets and Insta heals for example.

Survivors get to keep the medkits but not what makes it overly powerful and the killer gets the strong add on converted into something else when recycled.

Yes that's if you only main one killer but if you frequently use several different Killers it can be very irritating to have have your blood points spread so thin.

As someone who has three primary mains.

    1) Amanda

    2) Legion

    3) Ghostface (sorry Wraith)

I can tell you then making sure each of them are topped up on add-ons really doesn't give you much room in the space for bloodpoints.

Currently I can (over)sustain all addons I want on Billy and Spirit as those are my main killers.

I do also play survivor (no addons or offerings) and Freddy as he is new, got him maxed last week and I dont use points on him anymore.
