SURVIVORS PASSIVES
NOONE HAS A PASSIVE IN THE GAME BUT NOONE !!
everyone has the same perks and the same perks can be added to all survivors ..
for example you could add some special passives to all the players .
CLAUDETTE = faster healing
MEG = faster running
KATE = MORE POWERFUL TO KILLERS GRASP SO SHE CAN ESCAPE FASTER
JAKE = Subotage any killer traps so they can be stunned when they use them or step them
DWIGHT : helping hand to every surivor who does a generator to be quicker wherever they are
WILLIAM :persist one more strike
FENG = make the player to have an escape action like a quick crouching to escape killers attack every 60 seconds
DAVID = Unhook 100% for one time
LAURIE = the decisive strike without hook yourself or being unhook by others .
JANE = stun the killer for 5 seconds if he/she searches a locker
JEFF = let the killer hook him one more time in order to kill him cause he is strong .
ADAM =Throw pebbles to destact the killer .
DETECTIVE = Run and heal the same time (killers have more running speed )
QUENTIN = remove all curses from killers perks without destroing the hex totem
DAVID = no hemorage
ASHLEY = faster generators ,faster saotaging ,faster searching ,faster vaulting with his magic hand .
ACE - GIVE HIME LUCK TO ANY ACTIONS likke unhooking ,finding better items when searching ,sometimes miss the killers hit .. he is a gambler ..so he needs luck
NEA =let her carry one more item.
etc etgc ... is it so difficult to put some passives to the players ? you really focus on killers .. my friends who die all the time deleted the game cause of the unfair killers plays . another filthy topic is the vaulting strike .. whenever you jump a window .. the killer can do damage to you .
you put everything on killers ... we are not all psycotics like some players who like to kill. ... we want some fair play . i dont like playing killers at all ... you should do something to survivors .. you have them all nurfed for good . or put 5 players to play vs a killer ... just do something about it ... insert some other modes so you can play
EVENTUALLY i could also say to improve graphics engine ... smouth running .. if there will be a second game with more physics . .. it will deffinately be the best of it's kind . pls ... at least fixx bugssss ... nurf the killersss
they can win a game so easily .

All of these sounds way, WAY too overpowered.
And survivors haven't been nerfed majorly in recent times, idk what you are talking about.

This is your 2nd post, and by the stuff you wrote it seems to me that you haven't played the game that much, and almost only survivor. Survivor are just skins, use your favourite, passives would just saturate the game with the strongest survivors.

So we have David King, David Tapp (who's the only Detective in the game), which is fine and all but read this.

Agreed, play the game more, killers are not as up as you think. Watch pros and learn instead of asking for boring and unnecessary buffs.

I agree with survivors having passives to make them more unique, but my idea for passives was to use their stronger perks(except Claudette should have Botany Knowledge instead of Self-Care because she should fit the healer archetype and self-care wouldn't heal anyone but herself). Basically Meg has Sprint Burst, Claudette Botany Knowledge(it's arguably her strongest anyways), David Dead Hard, Nea Balanced Landing, etc, and those perks are removed from the game as perks. This would open up more variety in builds imo so not everyone has Adrenaline, Decisive Strike, etc. Giving each survivor one of their powerful perks as a passive instead of a teachable would breathe a lot of fresh air into the game I believe.

No thanks, I prefer my survivors without tiers or meta pick. Either the passive is so small it doesn't matter or the whole game has to be reevaluated with a 4man swf running a single choice to prevent a pure meta advantage.

I do think it would be cool though if each survivor got a little bonus BP doing a specific action though. That would give them something unique without actually boosting any ability. For instance, Claudette gets extra BP for healing people, but doesn’t heal any faster. This gives no buffs but just entices people to play a survivor in a certain manner, which I think could be fun.

Honestly I would love for the survivors to have something different about them other than just skins... but anything added would have to be considered VERY carefully to keep it balanced.

I like his idea (even tho it is not a new one) but if every survivor has a passive, it should be a minor thing (like healing 3% faster)

on 1 side, I like this idea but on the other side I fear that it might “force” people to fit themeta of strongest char and you ll see played the same 4 chars

The way it should work though is that the amount of the bonus would be based off the difficulty of the action...so obviously Claudette healing someone (common action) would yield less of a bonus than say, getting a protection hit (random example) that might be the unique action for a different survivor like David. It would just have to be balanced like that. Jake gets a sabo bonus, Ace a looting chests bonus....the trouble could be finding a different scoring event for everyone though.

I mean, if killers had some sort of perk (like an aspect) from a list that changes them a little bit, that would be cool like:
"all skillchecks are 20% harder to hit"
"standing still for 2 seconds increases you movement speed by 10% next time you move"

yes, your right. survivors can also have flashlights, toolboxes, maps etc.
The point of passive abilities is if it were to work at all, its something that would have to go both ways.

The game would have a Pay-to-Win stigma assosciated with it if that was the case. Characters like William would be absurdly overpowered. Now, you could argue that they could tweak the skills but this whole passive skill system would be just another buff to survivor.

Well no of course not. But what im saying is if survivors get passive abilities like that, then the game will become survivor sided. and moreso some survivors won't see any play, while others are played all the time due to the better abilities.

@Dr_Trauts How will it be survivor sided? Won't be able to play Laurie and still have Dead Hard. Won't be able to play Nea and have DS. Won't be able to play Meg and have Borrowed Time, etc etc. It'll be a power neutral change at most(most likely), considering most of the survivor perks that AREN'T the most powerful are not extremely useful, and you'll be forced to run one of those instead of BT/DS/<insert exhaustion perk here>/Adrenaline because at least 2 of those would be unable to be used due to, for example, if you ran Borrowed Time, you wouldn't be able to run DS and <insert Exhaustion perk here> because Borrowed time was Bill's passive, meaning you were playing Bill, while DS was Laurie's, meaning you couldn't use that, and <insert exhaustion perk here> was Meg's/David's/Nea's/Feng's, meaning you couldn't use those. As for survivors not seeing any play. How often do you see Jeff/Ash, Ace(even though he is the quietest), Quentin, and Kate?(I only see Kate every 3 or 4 games, about the same as David, yet I see Meg, Nea, and Claudette pretty much all the time). I would argue that this would bring more play to characters who previously didn't have much going on for them because they'd have perks associated as passives, making them inherently have a reason to choose them. I would argue some perks may need to be buffed to give them more of a reason to play, but overall I feel like this would greatly improve game health(one thing being killers wouldn't be seeing BT/DS/Adrenaline/BL all on the same character, making them less infuriated, the other being more variety in builds, which kinda works in tandem with not seeing all those perks on one character, and another being each character actually having a use for playing them).

if we were gonna give passives, i say let them have a buff to their personal perks, that apply only to the whos who have them, like bond will give dwight a 40 meter range, while bond on somoene who is not dwight will give the regular 36

Tapp = Can arrest the killer, but 1 time per game.
Ash = Can kill the killer, but also 1 time per game.

What I'm reading here is you want killers to tunnel specific survivors on sight because they're a massive threat and ignore others because there's no point in chasing them (ash getting 3 hits to down all the time? Yeah, ######### it. He can do whatever he wants. I ain't chasing that.)

I feel like passives would be fine as long as they can be toggled on and off, so you can choose if your survivor is purely cosmetic or not because I know some players who just play a survivor because they like them so making passives a thing would just make everyone play the same survivor and it'd become bland as all hell.
To balance making it a toggle, make passives also have a downside.

Maybe passives should be a 5th perk slot for Survivors & Killer’s. But it’s locked to the weakest teachable that they have.

Would encourage some interesting builds but may be too powerful to implement idk
