Hook Phase Skip To Speed Up Lost Match
So skipping hook phases was implemented to just speed up the game that's practically over, right?
Killer hooks last guy &, no matter what hook phase, they will get Entity-stabbed.
But an exception still exist, which is that you're in either phase 1 or 2 before the last person gets sacrificed.
Only once you enter the next phase will it then skip phases again, unless you entered phase 3 of course.
Now this is probably common knowledge.
But the goal to skip phases was to end the game faster, yet the game is practically over as well in the exception i just wrote down, yet it won't just auto-kill them.
Believe me: I don't really care if they decide to make it so it will skip phases no matter if you're already in one or if they decide to do nothing about it, but i just wanted to point out this inconsistency.
If the reason is: "Well, you're hooking someone, which means the other can try to unhook themselves while you're far away, maybe even succeed and find the hatch."
Well okay, understandable.
That wouldn't excuse phase 2 though.
Struggle BP can't be the reason, otherwise they wouldn't skip phases in the first place.

Yeah quite annoying. Many survivors are just trying to be a dick and want to waste your time after they got demolished.
3 -
I mean yeah, i can see that it can annoy people who just want to click "Create Lobby" as soon as possible.
I personally just dislike little inconsistensies like this, and i know nothing will be done since it's not an emergency.
Still felt the need to point it out. 😅

Now that Deliverance is a perk though, it's a bit annoying that you can't unhook yourself if you're the last person alive. Wouldn't make much of a difference probably but you'd still get the 1500 extra points.
6 -
On the other hand, survivors would bm the killer by going through the whole 2 minutes just to waste killers time as they did back then in 2016 and 2017.
0 -
Yeah, i addressed that in the last few sentences, albeit i didn't specify Deliverance.

Except if they were hooked by the exit gate and also have decisive

BlueFang we all know that you are a very biased killer main. I see that you are again complaining about ds which in your opinion has been "buffed".
And so what if you escape because of deliverance and ds? I stopped using deliverance because it was the idea of the perk is that if you get a safe unhook and you get hooked and you haven't been hooked before you can unhook yourself but the Devs decided that they should speed up the game more and didn't even think about deliverance and this is another inconsistency because if you have not been hooked you should be able to unhook yourself and use deliverance. This is because of killer crybabies who thought that struggling while on the hook while being the last survivor was holding the game hostage.

Aye, you are right that I am a killer main, and I would be a fool to say my experiences as a killer don't factor into my thinking. But the difference is I can see and realize the bigger picture and know to avoid letting bias shape my views as much as possible, this is why I play survivor to help clear away any chances of such and also to refresh my knowledge of survivor gameplay, I admit my potential faction biases, but you on the other hand don't. Your choice of words such as "Killer cry-babies" and focusing entirely on getting benefits for survivors in your post tells me quite clearly you don't excercise such discipline and thinking
Add on that I have the right to complain about DS or any perk as much as I want, as long as I can defend why I do so with an actual argument. To complain with good reason is rarely bad it's when you don't have reasoning that it gets bad. Also I've never said DS was buffed.

Remember that with phase 1 you could still try to unhook. Would be nice to be able to do so especially with luck offer or deliverance.

As mentioned before, it's in the last few sentences.

I don't think it's exactly the survivor being a jerk just cuz they struggle. They get extra points for doing so and the killer has the option to go break pallets or perform their power instead of just sorta staring out in the beyond.
Who cares if you have to wait a little extra time? Whenever I play killer, I just go do what I can in the meantime, and when I'm survivor I'm usually just getting what I can out of the situation. It's not always a bitter agenda.
3 -
Sorry but it is a bit confused and I missed it.
0 -
I mean is it really that big of a deal?
Go find hatch and close it to get the extra points.
2 -
Ahh, okay.
To put it in a different way: A reason the developers could have for not skipping hook phases besides when you transition from one phase to the next, is that it would deny Survivors the chance to unhook themselves either by having luck or using Deliverance.
And to that i say that it's fine if they want to keep that, it goes along with them wanting to always give Survivors a chance until it's definitely over.
But it doesn't give phase 2 an excuse, which is nothing but struggling until you're sacrificed, no chance to unhook yourself.
I hope this made it more clear.

"Believe me: I don't really care if they decide to..."
If they make it so it'll skip the phases whenever, cool.
If they don't, also cool.
Like stated in the post, this is JUST to point out an inconsistency.

I struggle as long as possible if the last guy is about to get hooked because every survivor in my opinion deserves those struggle points. If you want to make it where survivors get autokilled regardless, give them all struggle points for free regardless if someone is still alive or not. It's not fair to the last survivor ever imo. They lasted the longest, they deserve more than just an instakill with no struggle points. Especially if it's their first ever hook. If it's their first ever hook imo they should get extra points.

Like i said in the post, i don't care if it stays like this.
It's just to point out an inconsistency.
I also don't believe everyone does this to just be a dick.

I don't "want" anything.
It's JUST to point out an inconsistency.

honestly, i dont mind that extra time too much.
it gives me some more time to kick a gen / pallet and find the hatch to collect those sweet sweet 250 bonus points ^^
i see where you are coming from though and i agree that if 2 are hooked and both are in the 2nd stage, the game should just end. if one is in the 1st stage though, he still has the chance to get off and rescue his mate(s), so id say while there are survivors with unhook attempts, the game should go on.
1 -
I was actually talking about DaS's comment but I forgot to quote them.
I agree there's an inconsistency that should prolly be addressed cuz the parameters of it are a bit skewed.
0 -
Ahh, sorry about that then.
0 -
Let a mf get his struggle points in peace damn
2 -
So would getting max. struggle BP, but also instant death, be okay with you?
1 -
No problem. I can see why my comment might seem like it's aiming towards causing agitation especially since you've had to repeat yourself about your intentions regarding the post in general. I think the devs should indeed consider expediting the hook process towards either full sacrifice in the scenario you've pointed out.
In the meantime I just take what I can get since there's not been much talk on it.

exactly and not 12 pts for living the longest while the rest of the team gets slaughtered i get the game is over but give them those 800pts

I'd love to be able to speed up the end game once you're the last survivor and the killer slugs you and you literally can't do anything. That takes up to 4 minutes. I consider that a higher priority over having to wait 1 minute as a killer when it gives me time to break pallets or set traps or chainsaw around. Or.. I go to the bathroom or look at my phone. It's a minute.
1 -
That'd be cool.
And both can certainly be done.

True, true.

I mean you are the one who said gens should be done slower and that survivors now are much worse then before so I thought I could say the same for killers. Killers and survivors are both getting much saltier and toxic but the problem is that if you are the killer you can ruin the game for four people for example as playing insidious bubba's basement or when you are playing against nurse or spirit which both don't have a counter which is quite broken. When you are playing as survivor you can ruin the game for 1 person (maybe more if you farm survivors) . Btw I know a person who only plays insidious bubba's basement because he is so bad and this is an example of a killer crybaby who wants everything to be nerfed like ds and mom (which did not need a need but killers cried for it (an example of a killer crybaby).

Or get free struggle points while the chemically imbalanced killer continues to swing at you since he "finally got one".
1 -
The struggle points are not worth the time. U can get more points by queuing up for the next match and more important u can get more points by actually doing something fun instead of smashing buttons.

The fact survivors are weaker because strong perks have been nerfed has no impact on generator speed. Generators get done FAR, FAR, too fast which severely hurts the weaker and slow game paced killers such as Trapper. The fact that on average Trapper can't put down 2-3 traps and maybe get a hit or down before 2 gens are done is absurd. The generator speed forces killers to run generator slow down perks such as Corrupt, Weasel, Ruin, Lullaby, and other perks which is honestly pretty darn boring and makes the game pace more stressful then fun
I do get where you are coming from though. Yes, Killers and bad survivors do have the ability to ruin the game for multiple people but survivors still have the ability to ruin games for the killer which is no different then how it is for survivors. Honestly it's why I'd like to see lame stuff such as Moris and Keys removed I want the game to be fun, long, balanced, and enjoyable for everyone. But good grief watching the gens just rush by while you play someone like Trapper is demoralizing
