Disgustingly OP Nightmare perk
I may just be complaining too much, but hear me out.. (im new)
The Nightmare's perk "Blood Warden" is disgustingly OP, IMO. You know why? When the killer hooks one of the 2 remaining survivors (the unhooked being me in this case) right in front of the only open gate and STANDS IN THE OPENING OF THE GATE FACECAMPING THE SURVIVOR. And of course, I am right there. I can't save the person because Blood Warden is active, blocking the exit for 60 SECONDS, and if I unhook them we both die (they were on 2nd hook, I was on 3rd). I couldn't run to the other gate because the killer could see the door, so i'm screwed in both cases. AND the hatch was right behind the hooked person so if one dies the other is screwed either way.
I think that Blood Warden should be nerfed down to 30 seconds, or 40 at the most. 60 seconds is a really long time when it comes to this situation, where theres nothing I can do since he's gonna camp the gates and the hatch until the person dies, and then get me after.

Blood Warden: As soon as the Exit Gate is opened, Blood Warden is activated. The auras of any Survivors located within Exit areas are revealed to you. Once per match, hooking a survivor while Blood Warden is active calls upon the Entity to block both Exits for all Survivors for 60 SECONDS.
Please tell me what you think, and try to be nice about it. This isn't a bait, I dont even know what that is but people seem to hate it.

It happened so fast. The gates opened, the other person left (one was sacrificed earlier), then the last guy was hooked and I was running to gate to get out and all of that happened.

The person who opened the gate [bad word] you over, if you are expecting BW, and of course if it's freddy and you can't call all his perks, make that all killers, and they aren't picking someone up before gate open but gens done expect bloodwarden. But as i was saying if you expect it 99 the gate force him to either camp the slug or let everyone go also imo, blood warden works best against ultra altruistic swf and after halfway point in endgame

Blood Warden is so beyond situational that even when you take the perk, you often can't get it to go off. The stars have to align. Most survivors just 99% the exit gate and tap it when they go to leave. It completely counters Blood Warden because the gate has to actually be open for it to activate. It also stays active for 60 seconds, or half of the EGC. Plenty of time to still get out, and if it goes up for the first time with a minute left, what in the world were you guys still doing there?

If Blood Warden was OP a lot more killers would be using it but it's a perk that you don't see used that often. It's not a bad perk but it's so situational that a lot of people don't use it because they aren't sure if it'll come in handy or not. You'd rather use perks that you know for certain are going to help you in a match.
The good thing about Blood Warden (for killers) not being used often is that a lot of survivors aren't going to expect it especially if you're playing with someone other than Freddy. So it does catch a lot of survivors by surprise. If more people used it then it wouldn't work as well because it's not a hard perk to counter if you expect it (99% the gate, don't open the gate if someone is about to be hooked.)

Yeah... Bloodwarden isn't as good as you think it is. It's weaknesses:
- leaving early
- not getting caught
- it's once only.
You just happen to miss all of those that game. It's such a situational perk.

Blood Warden is not OP, 1. It is very situational, 2. Has 2 counters, you either leave before a survivor is hooked in EGC, (now that you've experienced it you should be more aware), or you either 99% the gate wait for the killer to hook someone and then you open the gate. See? Not OP.
P.S. I don't recommend the 1st counter, though, I'm an altruistic person, a win for me is if I help other survivors escape as well, not just me.

You could just run to the other gate and open that one if you suspect it. If both were open don't blame blood warden blame your teammates for opening both gates

You got unlucky, most Blood Warden plays are not that good, we hope we get games like yours. The more you play the less you'll see of that perk and the more ways you'll learn to counter it, such as opening the gate to 99% and only open it after the person is hooked.

Now that EGC is around, the killer gets a notification when the first gate is opened, and BW blocks both gates, whether they were open or not at the time. However, since it requires a hook, that means that it only closes the gates for 1/4 the time of EGC unless they pull the person down and nobody else goes down in that time. If you're pulling people off the hook while BW is up, well... That's kinda your mistake, since they'll still have half their hook time once the gates are open again.
