Why should everyone suffer
Why the hell should everyone suffer when one person DC's in the loading screen. Everytime someone DC's in the loading screen everyone suffers and everyone depips. Sort the game put BHVR please for the love of God.

Well actually, it used to be where if someone disconnected during the load screen, the game would still play out as normal, just there'd be 3 survivors instead of 4 (if it was a survivor that left, that is.) I wish it was still like this, but I can understand why they changed it, as survivors would be at a disadvantage from the start with only 3 instead of 4.

That wouldn't be that bad. If it wasn't for the fact you depip because a survivor wants to wuss out. You should still black pip

Eh, personally I prefer it over games starting with less than 5 players. A lot of the time such games just turned into suicidal farmfests on the survivor side as nobody actually cared or tried at all, or a straight up BP farming session (which is fine in moderation to me).
Didn't like it as killer either as starting the game with such an advantage isn't fun to me. The fact they have to do less gens is kind of pointless when they're so much less effective with 3 sets of hands instead of 4. There's a reason tunneling is effective - the moment one person is dead that means it's easier to get in the "1 chased - 1 saving - 1 on the hook" death spiral.

Do you actually depip, i thought if just showed a depip but doesn't register it.

You do not depip the "tally/endgame" screen just has misleading visuals. Basically when someone DCs during a load the game never starts and therefore has no results.
TLDR: No you don't depip. ^.~

Unless its different on console.. you don't lose a pip if some one disconnects
1 -
I don't. Games were really one-sided.
3 -
You don't depip if someone leaves on the loading screen.
You also don't lose offerings, items, addons etc

Why didn't they just lower the required gens needed to escape if there was a dc?

Because suffering is good for you.

They did. The map also became smaller.

PIPPING IS MEANINGLESS.

Worrying about pips

I would prefer to not go back to the days where i spawned in with only two teammates and actually try to escape a rather futile match.

Surely the server could find another survivor.. I've dropped into zombies games in Infinite Warfare to find myself on round 4 before now. I'd be happy to drop into a match that started in the past minute or two than wait for that one douche who can't click "ready"

@MegaWaffle I have depipped CONSTANTLY in games where the match was cancelled. Every time it was a -1. One day I had this happen 5 times. I literally DID depip, I checked. I lost ranks because of it even.
TLDR: You can depip from cancelled matches. At least on PS4. I even posted in the bug section about it, pinged people, and not a one replied, acknowledged it, or even READ it.

Sadly, you lose offerings. It's been bugged for ages.

This issue must not be affecting everyone then because I too play on PS4 and have never gotten a depip from a canceled match.

Interesting. I haven't lost any offerings.

It sadly isn’t a bug, your offerings get burned (used) before you start loading.

The devs said that the players should not lose offerings when the trial doesn't start. So since you lose the offerings, I'm considering it a bug. :/

Are you on PC? I'm on PS4.
