On tunneling
Dear survivors,
Whenever possible, I take relatively active measures to not tunnel any one person. If I see your teammate unhook you, and I'm nearby, I'm ALWAYS going to go for them -- partly because I rightly expect to be punished by Borrowed Time otherwise, and partly because I feel like that's just the better move altogether.
Sometimes, I hit the wrong person because I'm at a bad angle. I'm sorry, and it wasn't malicious (well, any more so than my role normally entails) -- but if you're down, I'm going to hook you, since that's my job. If I was that close to you, and your teammate went for the unsafe rescue anyway, be mad at them for sandbagging you. The good news is that I am now probably going to ignore your second unhook entirely.
Also, if I'm not nearby, but it is convenient for me to go investigate the unhook that I just saw, I'm going to hit whoever I see during the normal course of my rounds. If you're recently off-hook, don't stand somewhere obvious, like Self-Caring on top of a hill or whatever. Chances are, I've probably forgotten who I even hooked in the first place.
Sincerely,
A killer player who really isn't trying to be toxic or spoil your day with hyper-aggressive tunneling

You said it better than i ever could!

The key takeaway here is forgetting who was recently hooked. Happens pretty often for me as there are loads of other things to keep track of. Like flashlight clicking Nea, a gen just popped, another survivor running right at me(the unhooked with borrowed time), and the survivor who is cheekily working on a gen next to me.

This kind of playstyle always makes for the most fun games <3

Unless you run at me. I've had a few times where the unhooked will either run at me, or by me. If you're offering yourself, that's on you.

Lol there's always a few of those...and I lose my safe hook points 😒

Then they either want the person to lose their points and emblem, they want to use DS or are really oblivious to your location.

O, I slug them if I think they have DS. I've had a few that think they're cute waiting at the nearby pallet. Which brings up the fact that some players just want to set up situations where they can bm you in post game for tunneling, even though they have every opportunity of escaping.

A lot of people whining about "tunneling" just are bad enough to get caught often.

I would chase the other guy if I accidentally downed the unhooked one, personally. You're risking getting DS'd, and by the time you hook the other guy, the guy that unhooked him will be long gone. I could either have two people busy and force a third to save or have one on the hook and three doing generators.
Not to knock the way you play, that's all up to you.

I use Legion, so I can just hit the unhooked guy with FF and go after the unhooker .
Gotta love my favourite killers <3

You realize that you're just giving them a free Borrowed Time by doing this, right? They operate exactly the same once applied.

You realize that with FF i can hit them both without wasting time, right?
Instead of hitting the unhooked guy with a basic attack which will cause BT anyway.

I would chase the unhooked person, but not to hit but to sprinkle some fairy dust on them and shower them with hugs. Spend at least 60 secs there.
Then I would spent the next 3 minutes breaking 15 pallets as I slowly chased a P3 Claudette around. Don't forget your DS, balanced landing, sprint burst, and insta heal kids!
If I place them on the hook and know someone is really close by, I always try to run to the farthest corner of the map and stand in a corner and count to 10.
It's in the survivors guide, come on people, read much?!

I use crouching as a Pig to counter Borrowed Time. :P
