Small change to whispers
Was wondering if a small change could possibly come to whispers. When someone is hooked, whispers doesn't activate for the hooked person. I hate hooking someone and whispers is going nuts, but no one is around and it's just detecting the person on the hook. That makes people camp right there, making them think someone is close by. Everything else is fine. I would really appreciate this small change, and I think a lot of other killers would too. Would also cut down on camping, because you will know no one is close to the hook, and your just wasting your time.

That would be a really great buff but would make it too strong. It's something I've wanted myself but it would be too strong it would essentially eliminate almost all stealth options survivors have

Would make Whispers too strong. If someone is not using Whispers for the first few times, he will and should know that it also activates for hooked Survivors and will not search around the Hook.

Edit: Thinking about it, this will just cause more camping.

People using Whispers know Whispers goes off when someone is hooked. They camp because they want to camp...not because they think Whispers is triggering.

I main Freddy, hence the name. And my point was to PREVENT camping, instead of encouraging it. But see it how you wish there buddy... I said I run LF w insidious when I go up against a team of tool boxes and flashlights. Pay attention.

It's actually specifically designed not to work this way. Picture this scenario:
- You hook a survivor.
- Someone takes their time to sneak it for an unhook.
- Your notice whispers is active around the hook, so you know someone's going for a save.
That's a green light to camp because you know someone's there. If it deactivates, you know they're gone. Meanwhile if they had just carelessly sprinted in for the unhook, they'd be long gone. It doesn't encourage good gameplay and would more than likely be used to camp for efficiently.

My point ISN'T TO CAMP. I main Freddy, I hook someone, whispers de-activates, so that tells me no one is around and I teleport to another gen across the map, vs if whispers was active, I wouldn't teleport because I know someone is close by to make the quick save. See my point? I don't camp, nor do I need to, unless I'm facing a SWF mega team, in which case I'm bringing Bubba and camping IS a strategy w him whether you like it or not.

So what do killers get then to counter hook saves? I mean, there's literally teams that follow each other and camp hooks just for the saves using OoO, iron will, insta-heals, and whatever else. I don't promote camping, but killers are practically becoming defenseless against hook saves unless your camping using insidious w Bubba, nurse, or are Billy. I know everyone wants to have fun, but how much weaker do killers have to be compared to survivors?

That's not how it's going to work though, is it?
You hook someone, see no-one, but see whispers on, so you just don't leave, someone just happened to be there and be stealthy so you'll stay near the hook and look lmao.

You could always hit them. Worst case scenario they get the unhook and you down the rescuer. The end result is the same, you've still got someone on the hook.

Then you will be penalized for staying around the hook. Make the penalty take away more BP's, but reduce the radius, like if your within 8m of the hook or something, or, if you camp for a certain amount of time, I. E. 10secs, the survivor automatically gets un-hooked by the entity.

whispers goes off when a survivor is within a certain range to you.
that includes any survivor in the trial, hooked, downed, healthy, injured, deeply wounded, etc.
thats what the description of the perk clearly states, i dont see the need to add this extra to it.
technically speaking, there IS a survivor within 32m to you. its just that they are on a hook.

this is ridiculous, the perk is fine.
Killers aren't penalised for camping because camping is the decision of the killer and at that point they don't give a toss about gens, stop saying killers are penalised for their choice not to chase others.

No, I just gave a solution to your poke at me and now you still wanna shoot me down? The perk doesn't un-hook someone either smart guy, it's the penalty you would receive for face camping someone for a certain amount of time. Why would you face camp someone if you know there gonna get a free pass from the entity? I'm trying to give solutions for my reasoning of why I think whispers should de-activate on a hooked person, but, anything that makes the killer a LIL tiny bit stronger is just un-acceptable and OP, even if it comes with a + for survivors. Yet DS and MOM need buffs tho right?

That'd turn the perk into a camper's favorite. Whisper should affect all alive survivors, hooked, dying or healthy.

you want whispers to deactivate on a hooked person so you KNOW if someone is around or not, that's the whole point, so if someone is around, what you're just going to leave? If you're JUST GOING TO LEAVE ANYWAY JUST LEAVE, why do you need additional information that someone is or isn't around, the ONLY reason you'd want this information is so you can find who is there, which means you're not using it to leave, you're using it to camp.
And what on sweet planet earth are you bringing DS & MoM up for? Absolute joke.

As stated by others, Whispers is in a healthy state currently. It's literally a killer's version of Spine Chill, which is an incredibly useful and severely underrated survivor perk IMO. There's no need to buff a detection perk that already has great utility as is.

Whispers activates when within 32m, and that's it. The rest is on you. Spine chill can go off, you get on your mic, and someone tells you exactly where the killer is, letting you know whether to run, hide, or keep working on the gen. Yeah, nice comparison there. And like I already stated, I bring Bubba when I'm facing a mega SWF TEAM w flashlights, insta-heals,and tool boxes ONLY!. What other option is there besides hooking someone and baiting someone else in? Those teams will destroy just about anyone in under 10 mins, TOPS, Unless your a Omega nurse. Anything else there, sweetheart?

Nah, I enjoy the entertainment from the try hard survivors that think there whole team should escape everytime they play, and when they don't, they whine for nerfs. I'm doing the whining for the killers to get buffs again.

Do hook grabs even exist anymore? Because they never seem to work, and I'm never close enough for that most the time either, because once again, I don't camp. MYC is a joke, all you have to do is un-hook someone and jump in a locker and wait it out.

Because other than using actual solutions in game, theres nothing to do. Unhooks are a CORE PART of the game. Period.

No, what I don't enjoy is my killers getting countless nerfs to keep making the game easier for survivors that don't want to play the game as intended, and come up with this BS rule book that the devs are slowly starting to enforce by nerfing certain things from killers, slowing them down, or penalizing them. Just wait until the nurse re-work comes...

But that statement shows how biased you are. Because A-you think shes getting a full rework and are excited, and B- you literally said you cant wait, implying that you just want her weaker because you dont like dealing with her.
I play both sided, so I dont see it as "one side being ######### constantly".
Even IF the devs were doing that, catering to a fake rule book, guess what? Its their game. If they see it as a healthy change, they're going to do it. You can either play it or not. They dont sit there and say, "how can we alienate one side of our game and make the other happy".
