Corrupt Intervention, why its unpopular?

Very decent perk. Awesome on Hag, Trapper, Myers, Pig, Doctor.

MUCH MORE reliable than Ruin, completely blocks 3 furthest from you gens, makes patrolling in first minutes greatly easier.

So, why you don't use it?

@Yamaoka Yeah, people just can do nothing to avoid Killer until Corrupt is gone, but its a great time boost for Hag and Trapper. Michael and Pig also easily can find survivors, and Doctor, you know.

As a totem hunter, if i see corrupt intervention, im just gonna walk along the edges of the map and pop in in totem locations. The perks major flaw is that you immediately know what it is and immediately know how to counter it, since it has a limited duration.

Ruin can be destroyed early, but it has the potential to last for the majority of the match, as rare as that might be. Corrupt Intervention is more consistent, but it's guaranteed to be a dead perk slot after 2 minutes. I'll agree that it's S tier on Hag and Trapper, but good survivors will use this time to hunt totems or simply hide and wait out the timer.

    A. You can wait it out.

    B. You can use the time to go find totems and remove other perks while this one removes itself.

    C. It blocks the 3 gens furthest from the killer. Aside from Azarov's, that basically means 3 gens in distant corners from each other. This means if you chase one survivor like usual and the other 3 work on gens, the remaining gens are very split up and life becomes far harder for you as a killer.

Corrupt Intervention is good if you camp opened gens so you:

    1) Slow down game

    2) You increase for yourself Gatekeeper points by a lot

If you let Survivors on opened Generators it's almost worthless perk.

its a dead perk after 120 seconds.

    not worth it.

Only killer that can reliable get benefit from blocking generators with Corrupt Intervention is Hag.

Because it's not that great of a perk. It sounds good on paper, but in practice it just makes survivors split up to do other gens and come back to those later. Plus if you are unfortunate enough to spawn in the middle of the map it basically guarantees survivors will split the map. It can work in your favor if you spawn on one side and they rush gen forcing a 3 gen, but most good survivors will just go to these gens after they finish one somewhere else.

It causes survivors to do optimal things. They spread out, start to work on the middle gen early, and maybe even a far corner gen. You often end up with worst case scenario gen spacing plus 3 perks.

Because survivors will just spread out and do the other gens, while you lost a perk and a 3 gen strat. This perk can literally help survivors to not 3 gen themselves, it's a really bad perk against good survivors.

I think it's a great perk against swf with toolboxes since you don't have to worry about them rushing 1 gen in 60 secs before you make it to the other side of the map lol

I don't use it because I refuse to use a perk that is only active for a small percentage of the match. I prefer having something that is almost always in effect.

Corrupt intervention is underrated. Since survivors need to come closer to the killer, they'll find a survivor faster in the match. Finding a survivor early in the match and downing them is the most important moment in a killer game. If they wait it out, the killer will most likely find one and chase them for free without generator progress. Ruin is of course better, if it lasts longer than a minute (which half of the time it doesn't).

Also Hag and Trapper get free setup time around the 4 generators.

Because to get the most out of it on certain killers you need to bring a tracking perk like whispers or discordance. Plus it makes getting a good 3 gen setup with all the gens right next to eachother much more difficult, other thing to note is it causes survivors to look for totems, making bringing ruin with it not a good idea either.

2 minutes and Ruin vs. competent survivors often doesn't last that long.

    I like it on doctor.

It gives me time to start finding people before gens pop.
