I dislike how people yell at eachother for using good builds/loadouts. I have an idea.
Can we stop stigmatizing perks/add-ons/items/offerings from now on?
"Omg a billy/nurse with !?RUIN!?" "4 people with TOOLBOXES OMG"
Then calling people "boosted" or Baby Killers/Survivors if they don't play the way you want them to or if a mori is used.
Way too many people complain about builds others use.
I honestly think the Dead by Daylight devs should in some way encourage eachother to be nice and discourage in game and chat toxicity.
I think i have a decent idea on how positive community interactions can spread (whether or not they secretly hate you for some reason).
A reworked props system and the classic piece of candy/treat for good behavior.
After the match and post game interactions is over bring up a new not hidden in the menus props voting screen. Like Overwatch in a way but after the chats gone.
Killer to survivors, Survivors to killers only so survivors won't just vote eachother and not the killer.
The survivors and killers will want eachother to have a fun time to get bonus shards or bp etc.
For people that ignore the post game chat they'd vote based on in game interaction. No tea bagging? Vote up the survivor. No camping? Vote up the killer. "Extra points for you Mr. Killer!"
Maybe also a props counter on the UI that does nothing like Devotion as well since people like to see numbers go up.
Obviously my idea could be better i just think something should happen. "Toxicity" in DbD is something most of us experience in game and even out of the game sometimes due to it. It drives people away.

I had my friend PM @Rizzo90 about how Naming and Shaming works when this happens.
Basically, if I post something that has names while I'm not shaming them, but someone else does shame them because of their build. The person who's Shaming them would get in trouble, not the person who posted the names.
Also, I like the idea of revamping the props system! :)

how dare you use monstrous shrine u monstrous swine

@NMCKE Thats good to hear so for example if "john" was running iri heads with a mori posts it on here and someone was to make it a negative/bully thread about iri heads and moris they'd get a timeout or something.
The forums has a good system then i'm not gonna lie. Thanks to Rizzo for answering that for you& your friend.
Much harder to enforce that in game which is why i suggested the props thing :). It would still happen at times of course but people would have a reason not to.

They won't even put old outfits for purchase with shards, you think they want to reward "good" behavior, lmao
3 -
@Usui Those old outfits still wouldn't be purchase-able with shards. 🤷♀️
They do sometimes do week long events where specific old skins are available for shards. Typically right before a new chapter.
I think they want to but sadly i don't think it's a "priority" to them.

If you run Left Behind you get tunnel and mori :)

I've been insulted heavily just for using ruin on nurse.

Yeah, but a lot of these builds are not fun to play against.
Do you think a Wraith would have fun dealing with two or three insta heals?
Or, survivors having to play against an insta saw Billy?
Of course not. These builds tilt the match heavily in one side's favor at the other side's expense.

I see this a lot. But your fun is not more important than the killer's and vice versa.
I don't die because of perks, I die because I suck. But it's still fun. It's a horror movie!

YELLING?
WHO IS YELLING?
THIS IS MY NORMAL SPEAKING VOICE.
WHAT MAKES YOU THINK I'M YELLING?
1 -
STOP YELLING BEFORE I START YELLING, YOU ARE GONNA WAKE UP THOSE ASLEEP SURVIVORS!

A shame people here would never change their ways, but I do enjoy what you are trying to do here.
Honestly though, the game should be played how you want it, no made up rules or honor codes. Use what you want, play who and how you want. Do I like campers? No, but it's well in the rights of the killer to do so.
Clicky click t-bagging survivors? Go ahead, I don't mind it, but I'm not happy about it. Anyways, well on you @Bbbrian2013 for a nice idea. :)

To remove toxicity they'll need to first penalize teammates who pull in front of killer and refuse to take hit and pass points to the one who got tunneled. Then take chase points and pass them off to the survivor who's passed the killer etc. Until points even out the trolls etc toxicity will stick around about builds etc... Don't run borrowed time and get your team killed for points? Well it's their points now ☺

Billy with ruin is fine, although a Billy with noed... XD
0 -
Billy with NOED is genius precisely because survivors don't expect it, so they get ######### by it.

It cracks me up every time i see the exposed status from noed when facing a Billy.
Btw, i totally expect noed from them when they chainsaw more walls than survivors. 😂

@SenatorAcadia Some of those builds are legitimately overpowered. Meaning, they break the normal flow of a game.
Contending with insta heals is something killers should not have to do. And vice versa, survivors should not have to do the same with overpowered killer setups.
Most game developers understand that overpowered aspects of a game are not healthy and should be addressed, i.e toned down.

I don't blame anybody for using OP offerings/addons/perks, but I don't like it, some are very unfun and unfair for the opposite team, ebony moris are unfun and unfair for example, Iridiscent heads too, specially in good huntress with laser beam accuracy and exploiting the hitboxes, redhead's pinky finger too, and any of those addons combined with an ebony mori is simply an abuse. From the killer side, two or more people with instaheal, the damn key (specially if you don't have Franklin's demise¨), more than two toolboxes (genrush over9000), an organized 4 man SWF with Sabo, etc.

I agree with the sentiment, but that is all. I have no problem with builds. If your running second chance with insta-heal, ok. But don't complain to me if I'm running an insta-down build with purple addons.
Build combos are half the fun in this game. Fragile egos ruin the fun.

i respect builds just hate the one that use the usual combo (DS,adrenaline,DH,BT) i want variety on this game. I will try a new clown build soon if you wanna know here you go.
Game map : coulrophobia , nurse's calling , thanatophobia , distressing.

I am all for killers using strong builds against me, the challenge is welcome. To my fellow survivors, bring in your perks and items but don't tantrum quit when the killer decides to mori over the drawn out back and forth of a "polite" game.

As a terrible killer and a constantly learning survivor main, I say use any builds you want to as long as you aren't a jerk about it. I learn and improve my basic skills by being bested by killers so I welcome "OP" builds. I do agree that the salt/toxicity could be done with.
