To be honest, I'm getting shooed away from this game.

It's very imbalanced, and I'm realizing there are other fun games out here. Survivors can be disgustingly overpowered, and some killers and add-ons are as well. And the community is kind of toxic.

At a certain point it just stops being fun.

No plague anymore ? Better run nurse, she s more balanced.

It's just I find myself more and more playing other games and when I rotate to this one it's like it kills my high of fun because it can be just the opposite of that. It's not balanced in anyway, and it's flaws are becoming so apparent to me now that I don't think I can continue playing, the community is also very unfriendly most times.

I've played this game for the three years it's been released and idk now it's just my time I guess.

I take long breaks from this game. It comes to a point that I look at this game, the community, and the devs decisions and I get so stressed, annoyed, and angry. When that happens I walk away and find something else but eventually make my way back because this game is fun and it looks like that ''hey maybe this time the game is going to go in a better healthier direction''. It doesn't usually go that way but still.

Right now I'm playing Hide or Die mostly but still playing and learning from other players on how to get better. I honestly want to see this game become something even better than it is but it may never happen, who knows it might.

I completely understand where you're coming from <3

Nothing wrong with taking a break now and then. The game might get better, it might not but your enthusiasm for playing again might one day suddenly be reignited, at least that's been my experience so far.

Not much I can say on the unfriendliness, people will be....well people when the safety of internet anonymity is involved.

Some of us are nice, but i wholly understand how it can get very wearing.

The two things that drive me away from the game are the toxicity (both sides) and the long queue times as killer for red ranks. I also haven't played solo survivor in like 2 months because it's just a lame experience most of the time (I'd rather just play killer if I'm alone), so I've been sticking with just SWF. Otherwise I find another game to play.

I think a big problem is they don't WANT balance. The community doesn't seem to want that either, honestly. When you propose an idea that becomes more fair for both sides, you generally get one side or the other coming at you angrily. The devs probably don't care about balance because if they were to actually make the game balanced, one side or the other would go crazy. People use the cheapest tactics they can to get under your skin and make the game unfun as well, so it's really hard to enjoy sometimes when you have a string of games with a camping killer, or a red rank with 3 brown ranks while you're in green or purple ranks. And let's be honest, a lot of things(mainly addons and certain offerings) would have to go for the game to be balanced.

I've actually found myself having a lot more fun playing KYF lately to be honest. 0 to no chance of toxicity, a relaxed environment to test out builds, power sets and addons, just friends giggling their way through most of the matches. I don't have to worry that my perk set, items, powers or addons might offend someone because they are 'Toxic', i get advice from more experienced killers and survivors which in turn improves my game for when I want to dabble in public matches again. It's the same game with much of the stress removed to be replaced with some of the fun I'd been missing.

Though I can understand how that might not be enough for people who want to play competitively or for actual BP. It might be something to consider however. :)

There are some balance issues but not to the point where you need to quit. Not unless you constantly play against the depip squad, instaheals, 3 blinks/omega blink, prayer beads or eboni mori.

I mean, it is an asymmetrical game; it is as balanced as it can be. Some tweaks can be done but it will always be unbalanced.

The community is very toxic indeed. I just played a game with 3 SWF, and I was solo queuing. I took two hits for a Dwight (who was dead on the next hook) who later body blocked me in a corner. After being body blocked for 2 minutes, hillbilly came, chainsawed me, and then camped the hook.

You really need to grow thick skin if you want to enjoy this game.

No, the game is fun, very fun, the thing that ruins that fun is meta builds (95% of the builds of survs and killers)

Survivor: get out of jail free cards are a must aka DS BT DH Adrenaline, one survivor running this build is not a problem but when 4 are running it, fun goes away.

Killer:ruin+bbq+nurse/hillbilly, and 5 mins matches made this meta a reality.

The game is not fun, atleast right now.

You should take a long break then come back. If you're still bored then you're probably over DBD and should start playing other games.

You will come back, everyone comes back at some point, there is no escape from this game 😁. But seriously, if you feel like you don't enjoy this game anymore, you should take a break and play other games.

@Atrushan88. You can't balance a game with 20 levels, different killers, perks and addons. Some games will be easy and some will be impossible to win (4k for killers), but I think the game is now quite balanced.

@switch. The solution is to create new meta perks so you have to choose between them, not create trash perks. MoM was a very good beggining if devs wanted to do it, but all of us know what happened.

Yes, I know survivors could abuse it, but this way is impossible to create new meta perks and you'll always see the same perks in survs and killers.

At the moment me and my girlfriend play in stupid ways when the game triggers us. If the killer approaches we stop what we are doing, crouch and look up at them. You would be surprised at the hilarious results this provides and we have made friends with a few killers doing this.

Sometimes I play pig and just follow people around crouched and oinking. There is nothing more satisfying than sneaking up on a low rank survivor and oinking right next to them. You can almost hear them jump 😂

Take a break, play something else for a week or so. It helps me when I start to find the game not amusing me anymore.

There's a reason why Dead by Daylight isn't the only game I play, or in fact, any game for that matter. Regardless of what game you play, you'll eventually get bored or frustrated.

Try taking a break or just play a different game for a while, ya know?

I don't think that you would be happyier in other coms @Gardenia

I have play a ton of other games and was also part of their communitys since I started to playing in the internet, back in then... uhm... 1998, maybe 2000. Don't know it anymore exactly.

And the dbd community is somehow unique. Here you can post things, where you would in other communitys get just a "lol" in the best case. In the worst - the whole community would fall over you and tell you "l2p".

Even when we have sometimes different opinions Gardenia, I would like that you stay^^.

The dbd toxicity is at least comprehensible :) (maybe not the best way to advertise the community :D).
