DCs are still a big issue ruining this game, please stop ignoring it
I stopped playing two months ago because of how unplayable it was with DCs in every match. I come back yesterday and it's still just as bad. In just that Short time frame, this has been my experience:
It's like this because you refuse to do anything about it, please stop ignoring this issue and do something.

To be honest, I am seeing a lot less DCs compared to months ago. It is playable (at least in purple and red ranks).
Dedicated servers are coming very soon and with them, the DCs issue should be resolved.

They're just going to say what they've already said repeatedly: they will continue ban waves for big offenders and they will have more tools in place to discourage DCs when dedicated servers come at the end of the summer.
They're not ignoring anything, dedicated servers take time.

They aren't touching DCs until dedicated servers are out.. in about a month or so.
They got some plans in their developer update??.. or news section for it.
Gonna have to wait until then.

With the stability increase over the past few months, we are back to the regular DC ban system. Things are on track and it's starting to show. (Insert happy crow.)
But as for the original topic, we are not ignoring it. I would suggest reading through the developer updates (which can be found in the news section). There is a new system on the way that will punish disconnects better than our current system.

All they've said is what I've heard a million times already for months, empty vague promises. that they "might" do something "eventually" and that's just not good enough. All talk and no action while the game is unplayable due to constant DCs in every match and no penalty.

There is no might, no eventually. Dedicated servers are a promise. Summer ends in September. They have been upfront that these changes will take time and so far it seems they are still on track to deliver on schedule.

They can still punish people now for DCing before making those changes. Just make it so if someone keeps DCing, there's a penalty. The reason why people do it so much now is because they know they can get away with it.

Even if the system did its job properly it doesn't account for the reason of the DC, for example to give someone else the hatch
You need to have a disconnect rate of X% to get banned
If something else has a lower occurrence rate than X% you can always disconnect and never get banned. If the % of games with moris is less than X and you always disconnect it will never trigger. That's why automated systems for that are inherently trash and a new system will also fail

To be fair the game's systems just encourages DCs.
No ways to veto a killer or map is one reason why you can punish dc all you want but all ill do as survivor if i go vs spirit is run at her and suicide on first hook
Mori's, if i see one i DC, if they put punishment for dcs, ill just run at the killer and suicide on first hook.

Iri head huntress? DC
The amount of addons or perks that shouldnt be in the game to begin with are probably part of a big percentage of DC's
Most of the top streamers just either DC or suicide on first hook when they get prayer bead spirit and honestly i cant even blame them.
If you know for a fact you wont pip due to mori or crazy addons and you know you wont have fun, why the hell not DC?
To be able to ACTUALLY get rid of the DC problem, they need to figure out WHY people are disconnecting and try to fix that before they even think about punishment.

People will still dc regardless to what what they are up against. Like a post on the forums recently that talked about a streamer whom dced because they were gen grabbed.

Punishing disconnects just means more suicides on first hook. The devs wont address the real issues in the game so this will be another band aid fix that does nothing

You realize when the new system kicks in, killer queues are gonna get INSANELY long considering most survivors will be busy waiting on their timers? Cause there isnt a system in place that will prevent me from nope-ing out on moris

@Perelie They're not doing anything different until servers are out so no.
Not next week, the week after or the week after that.
Next month at best when Chapter 13 releases. So probably best to wait a month and a half and then come back and ask if nothing has happened.
