Killer's and the Exit gates
Sometimes I have games where I can hide the whole egc where the gates are and the Killer isn't coming to check but if I go to open it after hiding the Killer is coming... is there a strategy behind it?

All luck. If the gates are far apart the killer might just choose to bite the bullet and take the loss i.e wait by a door until you leave. Other times they're right next to each other and he can see both from one spot, so you can't escape. Just luck.

Sometimes what I do is that if I don’t find hatch right away I hide right at the gate, so when they close the hatch you start opening it right away.
This only works of course if the killer goes to the wrong gate first and the gates aren’t super close.

It's a 50/50. Sit at one door and hope the killer choose the other one. Hard to get, as it should be since you already lost the game as a team if egc starts (unless team-mates open the hatch and the killer closes it, but that's not the point).

Yeah, DbD is all about rng, this comprehends the perks load out. Chances are you're not gonna escape, and that's good because you didn't deserve it.

@killermain6 Not every killer uses whispers. If they do, then you take a chance but you take a chance anyway by the time the hatch has been closed.
