Any advanced tips for console nurse?
Does anyone have any good tips that can really help a nurse on console? Trying to help my friend but being a survivor main not the best for advice 😂

Practice first of all. Just work on perfecting your blinks until sensitivity starts to be the main problem. Sensitivity is the main problem with Nurse and you need to be able to react really well to survivor movements after a blink because of how low sens is on console. They do a certain thing you have to counter their movements well. Don't try to play a guessing game with your swings as you'll never improve. It's really hard because of the low sens and I really wish that the devs would allow console players to turn up the sensitivity. The only option to skip how steep the learning curve is on console because of sens on Nurse is to do something I don't agree with buy a K&M since it is compatible with this game.

@KillermainBTWm8 yeah the turning is really difficult, especially if it's not in the open. She has been practicing the blink distance for a few days on me and has got it down pretty good. I thought a K&M was classed as cheating with console?

It isn't but I believe it should be because it should be a given if your playing on console your going to use controller so it's pretty ######### to give people the option to have a huge advantage over others using K&M

Use add-ons that cancel each other out, but leaves you the benefit you desire such as Dull Bracelet and Metal Spoon. You don't want to be left with a negative that you have to adapt to as you're playing Nurse.
You can also use add-ons that give you flat out buffs such as Fragile Wheeze, or some of the common add-ons, but make sure understand what they do to your blinks before you use them.
Also, accuracy negative doesn't really do much. The only time you should worry about accuracy is when you're using omegablink, but even then it shouldn't be much of a problem once you're experienced. :)

If you're not good with judging blink distance, you can use Plaid Cloth. It will show you your blink destination.

Practice.
Play without add-ons until you master the blink. Otherwise it will be harder to learn in the long run.
Play on high sensitivity. Doesn't need to be max but should probably be over 75.
Don't get discouraged. Just keep at it.
Shadowborn is great for her because it help with fatigue and increases your turning rate (if you need more than max sensitivity).

This actually isn’t good advice since you’ll struggle without it. Play without add ons while learning her.

I think it's good to use a few times at first just to see how the blink works. But once you use it a few times, yea just go without add-ons until you master it.

I think 100 sensitivity is mandatory with any killer on console for me personally. Especially with Nurse.

For me, 100 sensitivity is a bit exaggerated, i do well with just 85 sensistivity, but thats up to you
Use as many gen control perks as you can, aura perks are also really good

I play on 80 or 85 (I forget) and it's honestly plenty for me. I rarely fall for 360's, really the only reason it works is because of bloodlust and how it makes your game lag for a microsecond if you swing right when it triggers.

You play on 80 for Nurse?

Or 85. But I don't play Nurse much anymore. I did months ago and got to rank 1 but I just don't find it fun to be looking at the ground 50% of the game. I can track and counter 360's just fine while blinking, it's just because I don't play her a lot I need to practice for like 2 days straight to get back up to par.
EDIT: Just checked my game, I have it set to 80. So yes I play 80 on Nurse. But I also use Shadowborn which increases your turn rate anyway, but I still don't have an issue even when I play without it. 100 just feels too loose to me.

Have you seen my Nurse before since we play on the same platform? Just curious since we're on the subject right now.

I haven't played you but I know you've played against some of my friends. I won't say who or what happened, just that I've seen your Nurse in action.

Awesome :)

Wow, I’m surprised. I might have to try 80 now lol.

Well, if Plaid cloth wasn't a purple addon, I'd disagree. I mean, what uses does it have besides a similar effect to the knight addon for Doctor?

Practice and more practice. Even with a lot of hours and fully knowing the blinks nurse is still tough just bc 100% sensitivity isn’t enough and the Fov is so bad with the frames for console. I personally like range and charge add on. Speed add one help against smarter more skilled survrs. I main nurse myself and use a couple different builds but the easiest and best is BBQ, nurses, Make your choice, and ruin. But strider and bloodhound helped me a lot in the beginning. A lot of nurse mains love shadowborn and it is great but it’s VERY tough to go back to not using it once you get use to it. Bitter mur, discordance, and some defection perks are really good on her. Basically you just have to get embarrassed for hours and hours until you build up the nurse mind and muscle memory to be quick enough to compensate for the struggles of playing on console. Good luck! She is very nurse and rewarding if you can master her

I only played her to get the adept nurse trophy, but in the time I learned to play her I actually started liking her. However, if you stop playing her for even a day you have to relearn some stuff when you return to her, because as others have said, it is all muscle memory.
I personally watched Ardetha's Ultimate Nurse Guide, as well as all of youtuber C2S's videos. Ardetha's guide is PC based, and goes deep and provides some useful tips, but C2S's guide is a bit more analytical, which I found helpful. However, some of C2S's videos were made prior to a major nurse update, and some after, so a few tips from the earlier videos don't apply due to the changes; they changed how the nurse's lunge worked, so his tips on lunging change, but he updates you on how to adept to the changes in his... third video? One of them.
Like others have said, it's lots of practice. Especially on console, like others have said, the framerate is an issue; the console is locked at 30fps, so you often don't see where the survivor is until the teleoprt animation is completed. On PC they see the survivors near their destination immediately.
Anyways, some tips I think are helpful:
- Always tilt the camera slightly upward to maximize blink range; when her head returns to normal position after interactions it seems to point down slightly.
- The nurse shouldn't be played like other killers, playing her is like learning to play killer all over again. Most strategies you use on other killers won't be very reliable, and will probably get in the way of adapting to how nurse can be effective. All other killers have to deal with pathing, or dealing with physical structures and, as you know, nurse doesn't which gives her such an immense advantage if taken advantage of. So, figure out how to.
- I had to remind myself of this a lot: During the chain blink window, you have 2 seconds to chain a blink, or lunge. That 2 seconds is short, BUT you do have enough time to look around for the survivor before lunging. Getting used to it is like getting used to developing a sense for blinking, so you end up accepting a lot of fatigue. But, it's better than swinging and then taking fatigue, because lunging increases fatigue by 1 second or two chain blinks.
- One of C2S's most emphasized tips, and for good reason, 'accept fatigue' unless you know you can get a hit. Some examples of bad choices: losing sight on a survivor while in your chain blink window, if you feel uncertain about where they could be, 'accept fatigue'; if you can't be certain of landing a lunge, accept fatigue.
