i have to agree. omg.

I don't see an issue here that was a fair hit. She spun to counter your dodge.
If you lunge and turn at the end it still counts. You see her facing you at the beginning and end of the put away animation.
If they obviously miss like in @My_Farewell Video its latency as hitbox issues don't exist in DbD unless you're facing a huntress and healing/doing gens because the air above your head will count for a hatchet throw.
Dedicated servers next month will fix most instances if weird hits immediately. Trust in the devs.
Unless you live far from the servers then RIP

It just looks like a mix of latency and the hit being calculated.
In both videos if they pressed M1 when the survivor was close the hit has already registered in game and due to the animation needing to run its course and latency it seems like you got hit from further away.

It doesn't matter that this has an explanation, it still looks bad in the way it breaks fluid-looking gameplay and grants hits that actually should not have hit. Weird timing and hits like this can make it hard to predict what actions to take as survivor, such as whether or not you have time to vault a window or not. Sure, with enough playtime, you will eventually get a decent feel for it, but this can drive away a lot of people.

Don't worry, decisive and adrenaline got your back.
Twice.

@greatcherrycoke AzdrubaelVect is right. Hitboxes will never look right because you'd be destroying killers with tiny weapons like Pig, Legion and Clown.
If the actual weapon had to touch the survivors you'd kill DbD.

Half assed. Should've equipped DH too

Worth it just to complete the big 4

Ping? Cannnnn we get the ping? Unless I know about the ping of the killer then its not hixboxes and it was fair

Many times is just latency that hopefully once the dedicated servers come it till be better. But yes, hit boxes do have an issue.

All of which are allowed in the game.
Much like your Noed, Camping, Bloodlust, Slugging, Tunneling... they got your back too.
But let's bring up something that has absolutely 0 to do with the actual topic at hand.

Plus that pallet stun...
...O O F

@AzdrubaelVect Oh look, you listed all the things that I thought were "crutches"?
Hmmm. So the counters suddenly aren't crutches anymore?
Point is. They have nothing/zero to do with what OP is talking about. They are talking about an issue that is evident and visible. Which is why hits still register at such long distance between the survivor and the killer. Yet you are trying to make it about something which is not... which is also what you guys always do.
4 -
I’m more concerned about the fact that you somehow managed to hit that stun even though she was nowhere near the pallet.
2 -
It all evens out bud. Good to know you've realized it.
That means less useless threads.

@Condorloco_26 It didn't need to be evened out because those things have nothing to do with the issue the topic is about.
Latency or not, I've had killers hit me while I hear the WHIFF sound from when they supposedly missed, but somehow the hit was still connected. That is an issue because it makes me think that there is an invisible weapon infront of their weapon that I cannot see, and that I have to just work around.

You forgot MoM too

Looks like a latency issue to me, when Nea camped the pallet (I cried at that!) and then got the stun it was obviously not near the killer on Nea's screen, which shows that latency was involved in the match - from knowing that, then yeah I'd expect some hits to register that would look "off" from a survivor prospective.

This pallet hitbox is to big, too.
Every side has problems.

Spins should not be easy to get and should be counterable considering how long chases can take in this game.
0 -
I'm not one to assume but you're complaining about that lunge at the end?
What about that pallet stun you got when the Spirit was no where near the pallet? :P
0 -
@pungent_stench my friend this is DBD, reason and logic have no place here. It is why you can be cut through a wall or take a hatchet through a wall. The excuse most times is latency or animation.
0 -
I mean, it's still a thing. You just have to work harder to use it.
0 -
Doesnt change the fact that it does in fact, exist, and still grants an extra hit.

Wow. First there is that pallet stun, which shouldn't have happened, then there's the swing, which looks like it shouldn't've hit... Just wow...
