Where would you place the new Nightmare in a tier list?
First, examining his kit, we can see he has two very theoretically powerful tools at his disposal: Dream Snares and Dream Projection.
Dream Snares are the more useful between them and Dream Pallets, as not only do they require a pallet in the loop to be useful, as well as the pallet to be broken in the first place, it also requires the survivor to use the pallet. Now, I'm not going to say Dream Pallets are bad, because they're not. But Dream Snares are more useful in the early game, and remain useful in the late game, whereas Dream pallets require you to shatter pallets to be useful (two pallets right next to each other looks sus AF), and canny survivors will stop dropping pallets in the mid - late game and instead start playing jungle gyms and window vaults instead. The one advantage Dream Pallets do have is that survivors will mistrust pallets, and begin dropping them very early. However, Dream Snares do the same job by shortening loops. Now, on the subject of Dream Snares, while they have some downsides, on the whole they're one of the better chase tools. Unless it's a very short loop, Freddy can usually force a pallet drop or get in a hit after just one loop. While they don't help him catch up in a straight shot like the Nurse's blinks or the Hillbilly's chainsaw, they negate loops with ruthless efficiency, by way of placing them literally everywhere. The screaming aspect isn't very useful since unlike the Hag, Freddy can't teleport to a triggered Dream Snare (even though I think he should be able to, or at least a Block addon - it takes a long time, they have to be asleep to trigger it, the activation radius is small, they're super visible, and it has a recharge; I feel like it would be balanced.) The only time I saw use for it was during the EGC with the last survivor; trap both gates and wait for the scream, but again; they need to be asleep for that to work. Of course, you can get intel from it, but unlike someone like the Hillbilly or the Nurse with lightning quick map traversal (in a FREEFORM manner; that is the important point of distinction), Freddy can't really capitalize on it. Trapping a generator isn't very useful, as even if they are asleep, the radius is so small they can just go to the other side, and you'll likely be using your snares in your chases.
Dream Projection is the other important part of his kit, and it synergizes crazy well with two perks: Barbecue and Chili, and Pop Goes the Weasel. After hooking someone, Freddy can idenfify any generators where survivors are doubling up, immediately teleport over there, regress the generator, and start the chase. While he doesn't have great map traversal outside of generator teleport, it allows you to initiate a chase immediately after hooking someone. While he can't end chases as quickly as a Huntress, Nurse, or Hillbilly, Freddy will almost always be in one, which makes him a lot better than most every other M1 killer, and his Dream Snares make him better than the rest of them (except Clown - though I consider Dream Snares more useful then the Afterpiece Tonic). Not only that, but something important to remember is that if you're engaged in a chase and you have a free moment, you should always be using the Dream Projection to force survivors off of generators - every second counts and it's free time. Another important thing to remember is that now that the Lullaby is no longer directional, teleporting to a generator in front of a survivor in a chase is very effective since it's much more difficult to keep track of Freddy.
As far as addons go, I don't know how they managed to make them so...bipolar. Some of them are really good, and some of them are hot garbage. Freddy doesn't have a single good Dream Snare addon. At all. Hemorrhage and Blindness are useless, and they only last for a minute at most. Even worse is the Speed Limiter equivalent in Kid's Drawing. Black Box is still as useless as ever, especially now that there's no wallhacks in the Dream World. Red Paint Brush is very good since it's a lot easier to make use of your Dream abilities, and paired with Swing Chains it's a free Thanatophobia. Pill Bottle and Class Photo are good addons but don't synergize with the others. The Jump Rope and Outdoor Rope are a small action speed decrease in the Dream World, nothing spectacular but still useful. Dream Pallet addons are exactly what you expect, use them if you want Dream Pallets, don't if you don't. The aura reveal for Paint Thinner and Prototype Claw are relatively useless, but can occasionally net you a chase or a hit. The other two sketch addons are one of Freddy's more useful, allowing you to use the Dream Projection more often. Finally, the Dresses are not terribly useful on their own but paired with a Huntress Lullaby / Overcharge / Distressing / Unnerving could be effective, I'm not certain; never tried. Overall, you'll find the new good addons and completely disregard the rest. Disappointing but his base kit is pretty fun so I'm not losing sleep.
As far as perks, Freddy is an M1 killer, so pairing M1 perks with his Dream Snares make him a terror in a chase. Ruin and BBQ are great perks on every killer, obv. As for the other two slots, I usually slot in Pop Goes the Weasel, and either Bamboozle or Brutal Strength (You're going to be breaking a lot of pallets). If I feel like losing, I'll toss ruin and slot in the other of Bamboozle or BS, or if I'm feeling particularly saucy I'll use Hex: Devour Soap. Ruin usually breaks during the 1st hook along with at least 1 generator popping but Devour Hope gets me one or two insta downs; people don't usually look for it since it's a stealthy bony boi. Plus, it forces people off generators as soon as they know it's up, giving you time to play defensively around your totem and secure a couple hooks. Discordance is arguably more useful than BBQ as it doesn't require a hook and lets you see where survivors are congregating and allowing you to nip it in the bud wherever and whenever.
Looking at all of this, I would personally place Freddy in the A Tier / High B Tier. His Snares are effective at shutting down loops, and he's always on the move. While he doesn't real have much "tech" to go along with his Snares, spamming them along any loop is enough. Dream Projection allows you to force survivors to waste time, and his short stature and small frame makes his lunge range tricky for survivors to gauge. His passive phasing allows you to get closer to survivors than other killers, and he has good synergy with some powerful perks. I welcome any discussion / contradiction in the comments as long as you aren't an ass about it.

Top of B-tier. While his pallets and snares are good at shutting down some loops, they have conditions and do not affect pallet vault speed. His gen teleport does give him some map pressure, but it is locked to a cooldown, while other killers, such as Billy, Nurse or Spirit, are not. To top that off, he doesn't have a reliable way to get rapid downs, like Myers or Billy. As such, he is the TOP of B-tier. He gets outclassed by Myers insane snowball potential, stealth and Tier 3.

New Nightmare?
Do you mean “Clown but with a fedora”?
Yeah, I’d place him below old Freddy, 100%. At least with him, games lasted 5 milliseconds instead of 3.

mid tier at best.
so c tier
0 -
spirit has a cooldown, whish is why she is nowhere near as powerful as Billy or Nurse
0 -
S - Nurse
A - Billy Spirit (order is debatable)
B - Hag Freddy Huntress
C - GF/Myers (tied for top) Pig Clown Plague (order is debatable)
D - Doc Wraith Legion (order is debatable)
F- LF
3 -
Upper midtier, he has a lot going for him with a flexible skillset. But he is still a base killer, so nope to toptier.
Nurse
Spirit, Billy, Huntress, Hag
Myers, Freddy, Pig, Plague
Rest in any order, LF
Inexperienced: Ghostface, Legion

Freddy right now is in my opinon a high tier killer. Not on Spirit or Billy Level (not talking about the Nurse anyway) but with Hag and Huntress directly below. So he is a strong B Tier Killer.

I disagree with you about his comparison to Myers. Unlike Myers, GF can use his stealth and one shot at the same time. He also has a built in soft tracking mechanic with the spotting. Myers has snowball potential but GF can do multiple things at once so he can generate a more steady pressure. Myers only gets real pressure in tier 3, the moment he loses it then his pressure is gone. I agree with you about his snowball potential, but it's a very predictable pattern for him. With GF survivors don't know how much they have been stalked, and good GF players will 99 the stalk if they don't plan to chase them. It puts them more on edge when he pops up around them.
Point here is that Myers is more predictable than GF which makes GF better in some ways. I honestly think they are about equal, they do roughly the same things but in different ways.

This isn't a Ghostface thread but OK.

Oh I misread his comment I thought he was comparing Myers to GF. He was actually comparing Myers to Freddy.
Which I still disagree, new Freddy is better than Myers. The snares alone make him better because they let you end chases much faster and without the need to power up your ability. Put a few of them down around a loop, even one as good as cow tree or shack, and you will win that loop very quickly or force an early pallet drop. Myers can only do this in tier 3.
Gen teleport puts him way over Myers. The fact he can just be on the other side of the map in seconds is huge. Combine with Pop and you can control gens very effectively.
He also has semi-stealth in dream world, because the lullaby makes him harder to track.
All these things add up and while Myers does have a one shot that's really all he's got. He can't pressure gens nearly as well as Freddy can now. Give Freddy a one shot perk and he's basically got Myers snowball potential. Myers can only beat that if he uses infinite add-on, and even then he loses stealth and can't teleport. Freddy is still better.

It's much harder to loop her. Which makes her better than Billy.

Her passive phasing has caused me to down while looping / playing the jungle gym. Of course it's not intentional but it makes looping her much more dangerous even with out Yamaoka's Haunting.

He is a top tier killer imo.. right bellow Billy
1 -
Spirit has a cooldown on her power too.

Here, my last tier list. Freddy is 6th, tied with Huntress for 5th spot. However, some of his add-ons really need a buff, especially the block ones.

Freddy I feel could very well be next to hag and huntress so top 5/6 I'd say..good anti looping for windows , massive map pressure tools, his lullaby even helps him be hard to keep track of, gotta admit a solid rework

It isn't 45 seconds. It can also be used to down Survivors.
1 -
I put him as a solid A-Tier killer. Right behind Spirit and Billy.
1 -
But Freddy can fake it and only needs to wait about 10 seconds for it to come back. It let's him sort of pressure a gen, or at the very least scramble survivors while he does something else.
And the cooldown is reduced based on how many survivors are asleep. If all 4 are asleep I think it's like 30 seconds or something. If you use masterpiece/sketch it's even less.
I've played quite a few games as Freddy and I never felt like I was in dire need of my gen teleport. The only thing you need to worry about is teleporting to the right gen, because if you don't that is when the cooldown can hurt you.

Again, In F tier. Cause f means FREDDY

@thesuicidefox Maybe one day you’ll put Hag in A tier that she rightfully deserves xD Good Tier List nonetheless, only minor things I’d switch.

He's my best killer right now. I rotate all killers based in what blood point offerings I have, but in the 25 or so games I've played with him I'd guess I've had about 6 or 7 perfect games (4k, all iridescent, 32000 bp). Most times if anyone gets out its due to a key or they luck out with gates being too far apart during end game.
My killer rank is solidly in the 4-5 rank. If I exclusively played as Freddy it would easily be rank 1.

High B

High end of mid tier. I'd say hes about on par with Huntress in terms of strength
1 -
We need more dream snare addons.
I don't use the dream pallets at all.
1 -
I'd probably place him in B tier, which is the Buttloads-of-fun tier.
1 -
Yeah, upper mid tier sounds about right. The ability to spam snares and travel across the map quickly is rather strong compared to what other killers get.
1 -
I say it can vary from player to player based on experience/ inexperience.
With old Freddy I consistently got 4 kills in purple ranks and lower. In red ranks 2 to 4 kills consistently.
With New Freddy I consistently get 4 kills in purple ranks and lower. In red ranks 3 to 4 kills consistently.
Nurse is trash on console. If played right Leatherface is not trash on console. Basement Leatherface, Basement Hag and Basement Trapper are deemed "campy",but are still viable builds for beginners.
All is situational. All can be sorted and determined by builds and experience.
I put The Nightmare in the low A , high B tier because experience, build and the situational nature of the game. I am biased though because Freddy, Doctor and Legion are my mains. But hey, I am just 1 player in a game with many people and many opinions.

Freddy is red rank viable because I can get rank 1 with him and I'm already back to rank 6 lol. He is really good, Just as good

Bloody survivor main

Hag belongs with new freedy and huntress

But hag is b tier and she's the least fun killer, and I mained her for three months

Nice Bait buddy.

Highly disagree. She’s incredible.

I never mentioned Hag's in MY B tier though.

Man... everyone putting Nurse as S tier seems so weird to me. On console she is hot garbage. I've never ran against a good nurse on console and I'm thankful for that. As for Freddy....rework puts him in a solid High B or Low low A. Good killer, fun to play and to go against.

I wish I could super up vote this. Can that be a thing?
