Remove auto lock or reduce it
The auto lock on this game is ######### ridiculous. It seems like with every update it only gets worse. Apparently you guys make it so the game reads walls and pallets as survivors because whenever I go for a swing my camera is just suddenly forced to turn and hit everything but the survivor. Add that to the already God awful hit detection on Doc and it's just pure cancer. I don't think I've ever missed more attacks than I do with Doc. How the hell does an attack miss when I'm practically sniffing the survivors necks? Theres absolutely no reason for the camera to suddenly turn and hit nothing when there is absolutely no space in between me and the survivor.

They did recently change the auto-aim, I think it was in the Ghostface release. It is ridiculous, it helps some people but hurts a lot of others, it's very strange. It never works when I need it to but it always work when I don't and screws me over.

For me personally I have the biggest issue with it when I'm playing hag and doc. I don't know why but its mainly those two. I just think Doc's hit detection is garbage and feel like they've just never bothered to fix it. With the hag the auto lock feels inconsistent. Sometimes there's practically no auto lock, other times she does a full 180 while attacking.

I've noticed that a lot with Hag when she teleports, it always seems wonky when she tries to hit and looks like it should be hitting but it just misses, it is very odd and inconsistent.

Yeah I've noticed that too. It sometimes makes it feel as though her lunge is shortened when teleporting.

I've been saying the same thing for a while. There should be an option to toggle it on and off in the settings.

I don't think I have ever experienced this outside of pre-buff freddy where you would target a survivor who was not sleeping over one who was..
is this a console only thing?

Probably. The game is a lot worse on console.

The worst thing about it is that a lot of the time you get messages saying that you were 360d multiple times, like it's always the autoaim.

I had a game vs Piggywiggy and she CLEARLY hit me, but for some reason the game recognized the pallet instead of me so she smacked that instead. That must have been infuriating.

Can confirm on Hag's part. I play her a lot, and weird "prematurely ending" lunges and wall hits on turns always confuse me. PC player.

I wish it was removable by settings. I feel it too sometimes especially when I do a blink attack with Nurse or Phantasm attack with Hag.
It happened just once to me with Nurse that I blinked point-blank to a Claudette, chances are that another survivor was just behind that Claudette and my attack, for some reasons, decided to rotate a fully 180° to hit the other guy instead because... reasons? I admit It was kinda of hilarious but it's often more detrimental than beneficial.

Or you guys could adapt to the autoaim, just saying.

There is no adapting to it. The game literally forces your camera to turn or prematurely end an attack. How do you adapt to something you have absolutely no control over?

Where is my downvote for things like this? The auto-aim is poor in execution and I'd like it to be a toggle so I wasn't forced to use it. You can't adapt to a camera you can't control my guy -_-

Git gud, just saying.

. . . You realized all of your points pretty much blamed game mechanics, and then latency. So you pretty much countered your own argument of "just adapt to auto lock" by pretty much explaining how the game causes attacks to miss.
Also, if you read my initial post carefully you can clearly see that I said attacks were missing when I was practically sniffing the survivors necks. Meaning I was directly behind them and a simple short attack either misses or forces my camera to turn on its own. It doesn't really matter if there's high or low tracking when going for a lunge, it shouldn't be there at all. Its easily noticeable when you're trying to turn your character one direction and then it's suddenly forced to turn the complete opposite direction.
