Why is my pip dependant on how the killer plays? (Tunnelling)

Why is the pipping system based around a way so that if a killer wants they can purposefully make sure one survivor doesn't black pip.

I just don't get how its my fault for being tunnelled and camped, its like I get punished because a killer decided to do so. As well as, I can run the killer around for 5 gens but still de-pip because after he catches me he just face camps me. Its just insane to me that even when I'm just objectively better than a killer they can still make it so I don't even black pip.

You get punished because you failed at stealth and lost the chase. Besides, if all five gens have been repaired, what do you expect the killer to do? Let you go?

You failed at stealth, therefore you are not better than the killer

The answer is this game is made for killers and they only care killers. If killer tunnels you or camps thats your fault.(sarcasm)

It's not your fault you're getting tunneled or camped but it's your fault getting found and downed.

In other words; Your incompetence gets you camped or tunneled and nothing else.

Why don't your teammates have Borrowed Time? Are they pulling a Houdini after the unhook and hanging you out to dry? You're not going to pip every game. Sometimes circumstances dictate that you'll have a bad game. It happens to killers too.

You can do just as much about your emblems as the killer can when 3 gens are popped before the first hook.

You should be able to safety between looping for 5 gens getting a Iridescent light bringer and usually gold evader.

I'm with you, I really believe you shouldn't de-pip, I mean, if you got chased for 5 gens and you couldn't take part in the other "activities" you should at least not de-pip. I mean, yes, you should get better at chases for you to survive too, but still, de-piping caused by tunneling is bs.

EDIT: Running towards the killer and beinthe first surv found after the unhook is the survivors fault, nothing to do with tunneling btw

Just for the record, you can have a killer that face camps someone else while you do gens and escape and you depip. I've seen matches where everyone depips because the killer hard camps and tunnels one player off the hook while others just do gens and leave. Low scoring afair for all.

It is one of the reasons I hate playing survivor. Your game experience heavily depends on the killer.

Do all the pretentious killer mains who keep saying "just don't get caught 4Head" not understand that pipping for survivor is also based on chase? If you can't do 4 gens by yourself then being stealthy all game isn't going to get you a pip.

Maybe y'all would know that if you played survivor for once.

I am with the guy here, there is the benevolence emblem so How can I be benevolent if I need to do generators/clean totems in order to escape? And running BT is not a solution because if the other solo surv is a potato it won't work and due to the new hook distance, killers can camp two people at the same time. And another fact is, helping a survivor when the killer is camping will help killers to get a pip because then surely will win more chases and hook more survivors. And yes, I saved people and escape from camping killers but not everyone is a good survivor.

Fun fact, if you're a potato and get hooked is my fault and loss points in the benevolence emblem.
