Who needs Hex:ruin, Huntress Lullaby or especially Overcharge anymore?

The new clown perk, Pop Goes the Weasle, is amazing. It entirely rules out overcharge and leaves the old powerful gen perks behind in the dust because it cant be cleansed as soon as the match started.

On Tier 3, you can kick a gen to make it instantly regress 25% = 20seconds of a survivor's work, as soon as you hooked someone. It even works on multiple generators at the moment (=bug?) . So, if you are a nurse/bully. you hook someone and then go gen-kicking. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy?!

I can smell a replacement/alternative for hex:ruin.

Far from a ruin replacement but it is something I will seriously consider when building.

Beats Overcharge yes. Ruin? Nah. Ruin is more consistent and passive.

Since I don't run Ruin anymore (boring perk, too much counters and gets cleansed very often under 1 minute), I will probably use it. I have no issue with my chases but my gen pressure is pretty low since most of my time I either trap or chase. With this perk, I will be able to bring back some pressure on gens. Although I find it sad that it has a timer... Kinda forces you to rush towards a gen which I don't like.

Thats what I m saying, 40% of the time ruin gets cleansed in the first 60seconds of the game anyway, why even bring it then?

Also I think the timer is there to motivate killers to not camp the hook forever. Even if the generator is just 10meters away from the hook, the kick animation is enough time to quickly unhook someone, so I actually like the timer, cus it helps against hardcore campers.

Pop Goes The Weasel is a good perk but it doesn't completely replace Overcharge, Ruin, or Lullaby because of the 30 second timer. You have to find a gen that can be kicked within that amount of time, otherwise the perk is useless.

Not a replacement for Hex : Ruin.

The whole point of Hex Ruin is to break the early game momentum survivors do have, when everyone is operational and repairing, allowing people to repair extensively, even if one of the survivor is being chased.

Pop the weasel doesn't allow that. Pop the weasel only allows you to push an advantageous situation (hooking repeatedly) even further, which is not what experienced killers (at least in my opinion) are looking for. Experienced killers are looking for options to reduce the impact of strong survivor feats, such as very quick gen popping early game that can cost you 2-3 gens for a single chase.

I'm not saying that Pop the weasel is bad, but it's just entirely different and has totally different uses. Very likely gonna be used to closeby gen strategies or some strong roamers, eventually.
