Rewarding the stealth play

Hey there people of the fog and devs! Here is a suggestion that could be implemented as a quality of life update:

Rewarding stealth! Like if I play stealth and get unnoticed I barely get points for boldness but why shouldn't I? Stealth is a legit strategy too and shouldn't be punished with nearly no points. In fact it would be another solution to the problem that survivors get less points as the killer. Furthermore I think we need more options to earn survival points. Just escaping is just too less. Healing? Well I am not using SC .. I mean I could obviously but for me it just feels like you are getting punished if you just don't bring specific perks/items with you or just play an alternative way ( with perks). What do you folks think? Especially with the fact that escaping atm is pretty rare for me aswell. Don't get me wrong please I am not starting to whine about me not being able to escape much. It should be just a little bit more fair between Survivors and Killers. BP-Wise

I was once afk the whole match, and the killer was a nice one and ignored me. I pipped because I got stealth points.

And for bp, do totems. 1k for each dull, 1.5k for hex totems.

Or.. Just don't play stealthy and help your team mates not to be the only one getting hooked all time

Stealth is boring for both sides, the killer and your teammates. It's viable only against nurse.

Its neither hiding nor stealth when there isnt the danger of being found.

You need to be actively evading the threat semi-close range for it to count as stealth.

The devs are actually aware of the survival category problem and are trying to find nonexploitable solutions.

Obviously but you can't deny that there are those possibilities. And sometimes it happens. Avoiding killers isn't that bad either. Especially if the killer is a god tier like nurse in the high ranks. This shouldn't be a wake up call for everyone to actively stealth but to encourage people to do that to as a sort of strategy if the situation is given.

Of course but that is limited aswell. There are 4 survivors and 5 totems if I recall it correctly. Stealth as playing stealth the whole game is boring af no one should do that but if you are in a situation that it could spare you death you should be awarded by actively avoiding the killer at that time. I don't know why that shouldn't be an option too

The whole game yes. But situational not. Situational it can save you and the game could reward you for being smart enough to have done that at that time you know?

Whenever there is this "stealth should be rewarded" topic emerging, it has been mostly survivors being entitled to bloodpoints for just standing around somewhere twiddling their thumps, no offence.

Thats the reason the survival bloodpoints per time interval alive concept hasnt been implemented yet, survivors would abuse it by hiding somewhere in corners doing nothing to boost bp... Taking the game hostage. Or some simililar reason.

I agree. I would count it as stealth if you're in a very close range to the killer so that you can(!) be found. :) Just being in terror radius can be very tricky especially there are killer that have a huge terror radius. With perks it can even be enchanted so I would limit it to the real distance to the killer to avoid people to abuse it

The obvious solution here is to cap it and have escaping give you the rest of the points you would have gotten for waiting.

Call it the "fast escape" BP event.
