Update on dedicated servers?
I thought we were supposed to get them in the summer of 2019. August is almost over.
Mainly asking because the random MASSIVE increase in wait time as killer is killing my interest in this game off. I have zero interest in waiting over 6 minutes just to possibly get to play a match. The excuse I got as to why this suddenly happened was something in preparation for Dedicated servers.
Pre ghost face? 30 second wait time to get my own lobby as a killer on Xbox. RIGHT at the double blood event before GF came out? All of a sudden 3-6 minute wait just to have my lobby created and it has not changed since then with ZERO inconsistency. It is ALWAYS that long.

I just had TWO matches in a row cancelled. This last match I waited 6 minutes until the map loaded up just to get booted for the 2nd time in a row. Love that new feature it was so needed......not.
Like FFS it actually ends up taking MORE TIME if someone quits the match....
I'm looking at nearly 20 minutes here just to get to play a damn match.

As the devs cheaply reminded "summer ends the 21st of september".

When asked in their Q&A on reddit, they said that the end of summer isn't until September 23rd so we will get them before then.

There is no update to give and summer is officially over on September 21, so it could still be awhile.

Thats just a couple days over a month from now. We should absolutely hear news soon then.
When was the QA Done so I can get an idea if its actually happening or not. If that was a long time ago then surely we won't get them. If recent then there is a chance at least....

There's nothing "cheap" about it. It's not the devs fault people only think of summer as June, July and August.

I made a thread about this a couple months ago. I have been playing on Xbox since the end of2017 and experienced consistent and reasonable wait times all the way through for killer and survivor. The only time my wait times took a hit was when they made that change that showed the estimated remaining time. THey scrapped that idea in less than a week. Everything went back to normal.
There was no announcement but it was blatantly obvious some type of change was made before ghost came out because ALL OF A SUDDEN I go from 30 seconds TOPS to under absolutely no scenario waiting less than 2 and a half minutes just to get my lobby. The only answer I got that was slightly logical was someone claiming they were making minor tweaks to prepare for the new servers.
It isn't like my times just gradually increased. I just abruptly saw my killer wait times increase by 500% or more. Survivor totally the same. It was made even more obvious by the fact this started during double blood prior to Ghost when obviously more people would be online across the game.
