A better way to counter NOED incase you don't want to cleanse all totems.
Alright, people have been talking about NOED for years, and ever since it became a hex a foolproof way to counter it was to cleanse all totems. What if I told you, you don't have to cleanse all totems?
It's actually really simple. Think about it this way, there are 5 totems on the map. Perhaps 2-3 of those totems are well hidden. The solution is, to cleanse any totems you see that aren't out in the open. Totems in places like cornfields are basically beacons, and don't get me started on that one in the Asylum. If you leave those totems and return to them after all gens are done, you and your team have a chance to spot it and cleanse it without having to waste 80 seconds cleansing all other totems. Not to mention, more points!
The idea is that if you leave out the more visible totems while noting their location and cleansing the not-so-well-hidden totems, your chances of NOED spawning at one of those totems increases. The more people doing this the more likely NOED will be spotted. It doesn't take that much effort to note totem locations. And simply cleansing one well hidden totem can up your chances of finding noed drastically.
Work smart, not hard!

No but seriously, I'm always kinda dumbfounded on how many posts on NOED there are and I'm always extremely hesitant to throw my hat in the ring because of how volatile they become but this is a great idea so thank you.

Or you could just cleanse all five totems instead of wasting time doing three just to leave the others alone, my only argument to this is that the killer can still use the movement speed and one shot ability unless ALL the totems are gone and leaving even one or two up could be what causes a teammate or two to be sacrificed if there's a chase in progress or you don't have the totem cleansed fast enough before the killer gets to someone , it's a decent idea but I'd rather know 100% that NOED isn't there

Yeah, I've pretty well given up on giving an honest opinion on half those posts because no matter what, someone is gonna go off on you or you're gonna get propped up as a supporter for something that had nothing to do with your post (Oh, you don't think NOED is a problem? CAMPER, LOVER OF TUNNELING. Oh, you're fine with adrenaline too? FILTHY SURVIVOR MAIN, HOW DARE YOU EXIST. I BET YOU LIKE PINAPPLE ON PIZZA(I do...) AND PUPPY KICKING(I don't...) TOO)

Pineapple on Pizza?!
Now you have gone too damn far...REEEEEEE
But seriously, i get you. Apparently objective thinkers simply don't exists to these people.

People tend to be quick to anger in this community. Instead of having an actual discussion, they see anyone who disagrees with them as the enemy. At that point it isn't even a discussion, rather who can scream the loudest.

Just cleanse all totems.
NoEd is most dangerous when the last Gen just got finished.
This is when the looper on your team is generally being chased by the killer.
The NoEd going off at that point is basically a death sentence for the guy who bought you enough time to do the gens.
The only sure way to avoid that is to destroy all totems.
If you see a totem and don't break it you are wasting time.

Finally someone thought of a strategy instead of screaming for nerfs.
Shouldn’t be hard.

What I've been doing in most games is just start cleansing totems when there is either 1 or 2 gens left. In most cases teammates will have cleanse a couple during the match so there's at most 2 totems left before endgame.

Just run no mither and you will be str8, it counters NOED

Not getting hit. xD

i simply just use double stamp rainbow map and take the time to destroy them all

I run small game and have any hex totems cleared out real quick. It also helps against Hag, Trapper, and Freddy.

I bet you made this monstrosity!

That made me laugh so hard it hurt xD
That looks sooo bad, but I'd try it. I was one of those kids who made Scooby Doo sandwiches so I'll eat just about anything once. (The reason I like Pinapple on pizza is specifically the conflicting flavors that people who despise it dislike)

I use to like Oreo pizza! 🤣 We’re all a bit weird. :P

Counter noed by allowing noed to happen. gEnIuS

I didn't know there are 5 totems per map, that's actually very useful information, thanks!

It really depends for me. If I see totems early on, I'll do them, but if there's 1 gen remaining and I'm uncertain how many are left, I leave them alone and remember where they are.
If I cleanse a dull with 1 gen left, then there's noed, I'm as in the dark as everyone else. If I know where 1 dull is when noed turns on, I can have a pretty decent shot of knowing where it is straight away.

I've had games where I cleansed 4 totems before the last gen popped but we all still got hit with Noed.
I've had games where all 5 totems get cleansed and the killer DCs when they realize they didn't get Noed. It says a lot about who uses it.
My gripe with it is that Noed as a perk actively discourages killers from getting better at the game and it's mostly the reason why killers probably won't be seeing substantial buffs. Ever seen Nurse with Noed? Words cannot describe how excessively overpowered that is. Especially if the Nurse is doing decent. If every killer was brought to her level killers would be disgustingly overpowered
