Australian/Oceanic Dedicated Servers.
Can we please get an update on if there will be dedicated servers available for those in the Australia/Oceanic regions so that once the servers are rolled out we will actually be able to continue to play?
There have been people asking including me for six months and still no updates. Nothing was said in the recent dev update other than that the update that might kill the game completely for those of us outside the regions that are getting servers is still on track.
I have completely stopped spending money on this game as have all my close friends who play since we have no idea if there is any point in continuing (None of us have purchased the ghostface dlc and none have made any real money purchase since the first Dedicated server test did not include Oceanic servers).
We have waited months with no update on this issue and neither dedicated server test has included dedicated servers for our regions. It would be nice to get an update on this issue or even confirmation of if Oce/Aus servers will be available at launch. @Peanits

While I don't live in Australia, I think servers for people there would be great.

Australia has a large playerbase and I really really really hope we get dedicated servers :/ it would suck to be left out like that especially since our ping would be horrendous if we joined far servers in US and stuff

I assume that is not possible (although if it is this would be a great solution to all regions that currently have enough players to support PTP that are unlucky enough to not be chosen to get a dedicated server) to do as they will have to completely change how the server interacts with the clients to account for the fact that the killer is no longer the host.
We can already see the effects of the killer not being the host by playing Kill Your Friends with a survivor host along with during the PTB testing of the Dedicated servers.

I live in Hawai'i and have been exclusively getting japan servers (200-270 ping) for nearly a year and a half. Amazing that I still play this game... With them tweaking the matchmaking over the past few months I have been getting people from the West coast which has been nice though the pings can vary from 120-150. I can definitely tell when they are doing tweaks to matchmaking which feels like a weekly basis. its hard for me to have a perfect game where I'm not hit when the killer weapon isn't even within range, hit through every window and pallet vault, etc. I do on a very rare occasion get paired with someone in my state (45-55ping) and its wonderful but rare as I still get paired with people in Japan till this day. Since I live in the middle of the pacific ocean, I doubt they will have a server here, I think the best they will do for me is probably a server for me in California when DS comes out, I just hope its a good Cali server that's around 96 ping. I hope they let us pick our servers because I know there will be an Asia server and it better not prioritize that instead of the one that's going to be in California.

Great trailer and announcement tonight however we have still not heard back on this.
However excited I am for the upcoming chapter and even still excited about ghostface due to not purchasing him yet I and my friends still cannot justify continuing to spend money on this game until we receive notice of servers being available in our region.
Can we please finally get an update on this.

Just look up AWS datacenters you will see where they are located

AWS has servers located in Sydney NSW this does not mean they will be used in the end as there are also data centers in other locations that may not be getting dedicated servers.
