Can't wait to pay extra for the new chapter (NOT)
The trailer just released, and it showed something we have never seen before. Two survivors releasing in the same chapter with the killer and a map. Obviously there's got to be some kind of catch. Considering we have an extra survivor, they will probably tack on an extra 5 dollars to the cost. As someone who didn't want this chapter from the start, I am certainly not buying it if they raised the cost for an extra survivor that they didn't have to include.

Maybe it'll be a legion situation. You pay only for the one character, but they treat the others as an outfit. So to play the Other survivor you just simply switch the characters "outfit"

I agree. If you don’t like it then you don’t have to get it. But personally I am so ecstatic and don’t care what the cost is. ######### I’ll drop 50$ to get this DLC.

I doubt one Survivor is going to tack on $5, but if you don't like it, don't buy it. I'm hyped, and I've never even seen the show.

Well, I was already miffed that another licensed release = shards useless yet again. I didn't care for Jane so, now it's going to be a full year of shards saved up before another survivor comes. Meh.

Same. I was really hoping for an original chapter. Personally I find the ones behaviour makes to be better than the licensed ones. So much for alternating between them.

You are probably right that this DLC is going to cost extra. It's licensed and there are 3 new characters 2 of which were most likely paid for their voice in the game. You don't have to purchase it. Capitalism is great, isn't it?
Maybe instead of being a debbie downer look on the bright side. I already see people on twitter saying they are going to purchase the game now. Now there won't be those threads that the game is dying because there are lulls in the amount of active players.
So while you didn't want this in DBD... many others do and are very happy.

alternating between them was never a thing. Theyve been pretty open that they'll make liscensed chapters as able, and the last time we got liscensed characters, it was leatherface, freddy and amanda in a row.

You can doubt all you want, but at the end of the day, it is ultimately about the money. They already raised the cost of Pig's cosmetics because they knew people would buy it. Wouldn't surprise me if they do the same with the chapter.

If it cost extra I don't plan on buying it. But I love how all the backlash I'm getting is not from my main point, but from my opinion. All the backlash is coming from the fact that I didn't want a stranger things chapter instead of the point of this post which is that it will cost extra because they decided to add an extra survivor which we could have done without.

They are sharing profits with the license holder. Of course they are going to increase the price.
DBD is a business after all... you know... the end goal is to make money.

They have shared the profits with other licensed chapters in the past for the normal price. There is nothing wrong with that. We have always had a survivor and a killer in past chapters and there was no need to change that. The extra survivor was not needed. I know the main goal is to make money. That's why they did this crossover in the first place. They knew it would make more bank than any other DLC because only God knows how much money people are willing to spend on a videogame character.

New DLCs every quarter and weekly cosmetics aren't needed either.
If BHVR had an opportunity to get both Nancy and Steve why would they pass it up? It's a good addition to the game and the majority, so far, seem very pleased with it.
Sorry I just don't see why you seem to be upset over this. Because of a potential price increase? Because they are adding something into the game that makes the community happy even though it isn't "needed"?
You just can't please everyone all the time. Sorry you are unhappy about the cost that has yet to be revealed, and this DLC. Maybe next time bucko. I'm going back to the hype train.

I don't buy lootboxes so they don't really affect me, but yes lootboxes are garbage too. They shouldn't exist in the gaming industry and anyone who thinks they are good needs to have their head examined. I just don't like that there will be a price increase in the DLC because of an extra character.

Tbh, OP I agree with you. I saw the trailer, I've never been into stranger things but it's interesting how many other people throw all caution to the wind when they're ready excited about a new chapter. I might just wait this one out, until I see the perks or PTB, and then I may only just buy 1 Survivor because I don't think I can play killer anymore.

Yep. And it typically ends the same way. We throw caution to the wind, it turns out to be garbage (or turns into garbage) and then we all get mad we wasted our money. Once I see the perks and the price, I'll decide if I am going to buy it.

Typically if I buy something, I buy the whole chapter. But this might be the first time that changes. I refuse to pay a higher price because of an extra survivor. However, I'm not buying anything until I see some gameplay.

This DLC is going to encourage me to do a 'First Look' when he comes out on the PTB for my youtube channel.
Not that I'm funny or anything; I do way better with twitch chat (and even that's debatable)..but I want to record my first views as someone who's never watched the show.

Plus if they just want a specific character they can likely buy them with cells.
So if the dlc is like $10 but you don't want steve or Nancy you could just buy Demogorgon for less.

You could just buy one killer and one survivor with auric cells, I think it should cost around the same as a normal chapter.

Considering they raised the price on the Pig's recent cosmetics I think it's okay for me to jump the shark. At the end of the day, they are after money.

They would have to pay the actor's for their likeness in game as well so it is definitely going to cost more than other Licenced DLC's

As I said before, it's because they knew how much money it would draw in. You're right though. It doesn't really fit and feels like it was put in as more of a money/popularity grab for the fans of the show.

Even 5 dollars for some DLC could easily hurt my mind from the money side. But more important thing is we're geting only 2 version of clothes on them. Normal clothes and prestigenothing more cuz its LiCeNsEd

Did you have a problem with Chapter 12 costing less because it only came with 1 character or are we just complaining about Chapter 13 costing more because it comes with 3 characters?
