Stranger Things Map Hype
Since every other post is about Stranger Things (which I don't know enough about to heavily participate in) I'd like to make a post about the map
IT'S INDOORS AGAIN! HYPE!
I've been rooting for another indoor map ever since Pig. They're my favorite maps in the game because they add so much more tension than all the open maps where you can see everything from a mile away.
What do you guys think it'll be like? It looked like a highschool to me

My favorite maps are the inside ones, so I'm super excited!! ^_^
I wonder if it's going to be a single floor or two floors like the Game.I'd really like something that's multiple stories again :D

I'd love another multi story map too, but it's have to have small floors to make up for it (that's how the Game handles how hard travel would be)
What if they gave a map that's bigger than Game but smaller than lerys with a smaller upper floor? Like half the size of the bottom floor?

Flip that on its head and that's probably the lab. The landmark is most likely gonna be the Gate downstairs.

It's going to be the Hawkins Research Facility, not a high school so we know that.
I think there is a chance we could get a multistory map where the lower half is larger than the top half, or vice versa. It would be a different layout, and would give more run around room in some parts without it feeling too confined.

They gonna rework lerys so that it will have more updated graphics to reflect stranger things.. then about 4 different variations of it.

Sorry, I don't know a lot about Stranger things. I'm guessing the lab has something to do with the inter-dimensional creatures the show revolves around?
And flipped on it's head I still think two differently sized floors sounds awesome!
Side note: Here's a prayer that we don't get anymore gandalf pallets that are impassible

Oh I missed that in the trailer somehow, still super excited! Do you think it'd have drops from the top floor (as is tradition) or would it be more like the old Coldwind House design where you have to take the stairs?

Well if It has stairs, I imagine there would also be drops. I think it'll be one floor because the facility uses elevators to travel up and down. But they could simply just put in stairwells, or make the ceiling of the lower level/floor of the upper level be collapsed in areas and create ramps to go up and down

Hawkins Power and Electric is a facade for a government facility based around opening up a portal to the Upside Down. New Badham makes it clear that they are limiting the number of 100% safe pallets. I don't think we have much to fear.

From the trailer it looks like the new map has Raytracing enabled!! Hype #RTX

I love indoor maps, I am so excited.
I wonder if they went ahead of time and made sure they have more than 1 variation of this map because they're back and doing that for all licensed maps so maybe they just went ahead and was like ''yo can we make more than 1 type?'' That would be cool.

The only 2 maps i dont like are Lerys and Game.. both indoor. Still hyped for the Lab :)

I hope that the lab will have different portions to it tbh (maybe its indoors but if you go through the portal to the upside down it becomes an outdoor map.)

When it comes to indoor maps, I always imagine and wonder how stealth killers like The Shape or The Ghost will look wandering the areas.

That would be really cool, though I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment. I'll at least be glad we ARE getting a new map.

To me it looked like the lab where Eleven was being experimented on, not the highschool, it would also make more sense lorewise
I'm curious to find out more information on the whole chapter, I hope we get a stream real soon

Yeah, others mentioned that. I've never seen the show so I didn't know there was a lab and was basing it off of what little I saw.
Going on past experiences we'll probably get the ptb in a week or two! ^-^

No kidding though, I hope they learn a thing or two about indoor maps with this experience and use the new knowledge to rework Lery's and ESPECIALLY The Game in the future.
Those maps are overwhelmingly disliked by both sides, even if some people like them.
I personally love the IDEA of indoor maps but I think they missed the mark on execution so far.

It does say it's the lab, so that's confirmed

I think it'll be a mix of Lery's and The Game. Two floors, but a lot of hallways on the top.
